Instead of the song we specifically selected, which has deep sentimental meaning to us, a screaming hard rock song was played. It was completely inappropriate for a wedding ceremony, and the mistake was never corrected once it started. We had carefully selected every ceremony song in Vibo and reviewed them together during our planning call. This mistake from the DJ permanently impacted a once-in-a-lifetime moment that cannot be redone. We are extremely disappointed with the service and cannot recommend Higher Ground Entertainment.

Matt also acted as MC and controlled the order of events during the reception, so that everything flowed smoothly. Highly recommend. Nikki & John S.

I found Significa after digging through the Knot and all the other wedding websites for local…read morePortland DJ's. It was great to find a small business that was so reasonably priced, including for the photobooth services they also offered. It was a definite plus to have one point of contact for both! After looking through a ton of confusing wedding websites that make you fill out a form to learn pricing, it was refreshing how transparent Significa's cost is. They have different packages that you can customize for exactly the hours and features you want. Collin and Jay more than lived up to that first impression that this small business is driven to deliver on personalized, great experiences throughout the entire process of planning for a big event. We hired Significa to run the Magic Mirror Photobooth and DJ'ing at our wedding. Collin and Jay were both extremely professional to work with and quick in responding to emails. I always heard back from Collin same day (if not within an hour), even when reaching out on a weekend. Meeting them in-person to talk through what we were looking for, I found them both personable, considerate of what we wanted, and dedicated to providing outstanding experiences to their clients during planning and the big day. Collin bent over backwards to accommodate my procrastination on our photo book, coordinating with a vendor and communicating with me to rush the order through. I can tell how much he cares that we had the best time ever. Thanks to Collin and Jay, we had an absolute blast and so did our guests. We got a ton of compliments on the Magic Mirror Photobooth and a lot of great memories from the pics. I highly recommend supporting this local Portland business.

That was a bonus because I needed a photo booth and a DJ for a grand opening event I was planning, and figured I would have to book them separately! I was very impressed with: (1) having all my entertainment needs provided by one company (2) the level of customer service provided throughout the whole process and (3) that the photo booth and music selections are highly customizable! Lastly, I have to say that the magic mirror photo booth is SO cool. It really doesn't come through how fun and modern it is until you see it and use it in person. Everyone at the event loved it. I will definitely use Significa for my photo booth and DJ needs in the future, and am passing their name around to all my friends and colleagues.
