Came in 2nd but still got a $30 giftcard to Starbucks! The parks and rec is doing things like this to keep people active while having fun. No transportation? No worries, your registration fee comes with transporation to and from. Next scavenger hunt is 6/24 @ the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium. And the BEST part is, its not limited to only El Monte residents, anyone can join! I do not know where all that disappeared After Ihhs opening after Covid I do not how many I calls I made to them .I was told you have to redo and reapply for Ihhs benefit .If not more I applied at ten times for it, took screaming and yelling of social workers , any help or advise you want they will scream that is not their job.Their supervisor will never call you back.They will make you literally cry and helpless and things are getting worse every day .I feel my job is only try to please them ,call them dozens of time with never getting call back.Throw you out from program without your knowledge and you find it out as surprise.Their lies why they threw you out from programs and telling their superior that they will contact you for which you wait for weeks,make dozens of calls with no success .Feel like killing yourself than calling them .They are so high headed and drunk in their power.They know they do not have to answer any one , no one can touch them because they are county worker.After long abuse from them I did write finally to sentiments with the hope of some help,until I know in next 1-2 months of outcome I am miserable , suffering,without any help.This is Ihhs last worry , they do not care

The cops parked their rig on the street in front of the Donut Man but its length blocked King's drive. When I hit the horn to alert them that I was attempting to leave a guy (cop ?) approached me arguing they have horses in the trailer and that fact gives them the right to stop there or something just as incomprehensible. I quickly explained they were blocking the entrance to a commercial business and no amount of horses will excuse suck conduct. When the guy continued to argue with me I finally ask did you guys become entitled pricks after becoming cops or did you bring that offensive personality to the job. Finally a lesser prick moved the rig so I could leave.

I went there to pay for my ticket that I got on 8/2, just to find out that it's not filed yet. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes, and it cost me $7.00. That's not right. It should be free for the 1st 10 or 15 minutes like what majority of pay parking lots do. People shouldn't have to pay for parking when they are going into pay for a citation, etc.

At the El Monte Courthouse, I had the best judicial experience to date. When I arrived, there was a…read moreline at the door, but I needed to use the restroom. I let the sheriff know that helped me locate my name on the docket. He had compassion for me and allowed me to go ahead of the line into the building. Whew, what a relief. While I was in department 6 for a traffic violation, Judge Daniel A. Lopez was judging cases with wisdom and compassion. Everyone left the courtroom with a smile because Judge Lopez's judgments were fair and just. Some left the court with no fees to pay; others left with a reduction in costs by 75% - 80%, another will receive a refund check. Judge Lopez and his supporting staff restored my faith and gave me hope in the Judicial system. I would there be more like him in our judiciary. Thank You!
