Coming in at 11 AM is really busy too! I would advise to come early if you can. There's at least 30 people in this room right now (11:12 AM). See picture for updates hours. This office is open until 4 PM, not 3 PM like it says on this site. I don't think there's a way to change it if the business (govt agency) doesn't claim this Yelp business :)

There is only one entrance. Like all government interactions, have your paperwork done prior to coming in and go early.

But this girl, i didn't catch her name. She's an angel sent from heaven i kid you not, she made this process absolutely tolerable and she was a pleasant to work with. She worked at station letter E, and i was here at 3:03pm, she has curly brown hair and she wore glasses. SHE IS THE DEFINITION OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!! And somewhere they know I am the conservator because I always receive two packets of the 100 pages of crap to renew. However whenever I try to call for the 'mediCal eligibility' to renew I get "Oh we don't have any authorization on file to let us talk to you about his file." A worker called yesterday telling me I would receive an eliglibity call today at 9:30am. No call. So I called the country. The person answering say 'we don't see any authorization for you to talk to us about his case but I will transfer you to an eligiblity worker". I was transfered to waiting music for about 15 minutes. Finally a human answered and when I gave the case number, the last four of his SSN, and our address, she said "we don't have any paperwork on file here allowing us to talk to you." I hung up in disgust and called my son's doctor. The doctor (just like last year) said he would call these people and help me!

It has been a 5-star experience, from last week and this morning. I would like to give special recognition to a particular staff that assisted us on both occasions. On both times, we must have picked her brain for a good hour. I apologize for not remembering her official title. Eva has been most helpful and patient through out our quit claim process. She kept things positive and was always reassuring. As she lead the way in keeping us on track and then letting us know what's to be expected, I knew my nerves would be much calmer. Documents and forms (quit claims), if not filled out properly, can cause major issues in the long run. Our fear in filling, filing and getting notarized and then finding out parts/all of the steps was missed. Who wants to keep back-tracking on missed stuff and correcting information....definitely not a good plan. I feel good about today and lleaving the county building on a good note. Today was a good day

For older people with memory problems, USCIS officers should show more compassion and understanding…read moreduring interviews. Elderlies went through theirs recently, and it broke my heart to see how difficult it was made for them. Instead of asking simple, considerate questions suitable for seniors, the officer gave them some of the hardest questions possible -- as if forgetting they are already in their late years and struggling with memory. Not everyone gets the same treatment. Some officers are kind, patient, and truly human -- while others are cold, robotic, and lack basic empathy. It's unfair that outcomes depend purely on luck -- on whether you get the compassionate officer or the heartless one. These are elderly people who already have memory issues. The fact that they still try -- and even pay -- to apply for U.S. citizenship should already show their dedication and effort. The least they deserve is patience, respect, and understanding -- not interrogation-level questioning that leaves them anxious, confused, and ashamed. Give OLD PEOPLE some grace. Their minds and memories are not the same as younger applicants. Show humanity. Show compassion. Remember that you are speaking to someone's mother, father, or grandparent -- not just another case number. USCIS needs to retrain officers to handle senior applicants with care. The process should be about dignity, not intimidation. Treating people with kindness and empathy costs nothing -- but it means everything to families like ours.

I haven't had the pleasure of visiting any SSA building before today, but it reminded me of mini DMV, with the lobby of chairs, a kiosk, and monitor screens displaying next in line lottery numbers. While setting an SSA appointment the rep discovered an error and determined the root cause. Since their system had my phone and email info, I received reminders and information including an advance check-in weblink for when we arrived. I followed the link instructions and promptly received my ticket number before we got out of the car. There were a couple of people inside the lobby among the rows of seats towards the right when entering. The information TV screens and kiosk were to the left. Office SSA reps worked behind glass and each space provided two chairs with partitions separating customers for semi-privacy. We spent less than 5 minutes in the lobby after checking in online from the parking lot. Our SSA rep was friendly and helpful, answering questions and providing reasonable expectations of next steps after concluding the appointment in roughly 30 minutes to resolve why we needed to stop by in person.
