My experience coming to was fine because I made an appointment several weeks before and I showed up on time. I only waited about five minutes. I also brought all the paperwork that I needed and I got that information from their website. However, I noticed that some of the personnel that work here were rude to some of the people waiting for service. Also, the people waiting should do their homework ahead of time and come prepare with their paperwork or documents. So I can understand how employees get frustrated, but also people get frustrated because many of them need to get the process done and they feel frustrated with the bureaucracy. with that said in the five minutes, I was there I heard many people complaining and also employees yelling at those people so overall, it was a stressful experience, even though my own transaction was very fast and easy because I came prepared. My recommendation is for you to make an appointment and also review carefully the requirements that are posted on their website so that once you are at your appointment, you can have a fast and productive experience. also, I saw several signs that say that appointments are REQUIRED. Also, some of the disturbances I witnessed were because people who did not have appointments or were missing documentation but were very insistent which then became a yelling match between them and the SSN employee! Another suggestion is to be patient. This is the Social Security office which is a government facility, and this type of thing can be slow and bureaucratic. This is how it is, so be patient, come prepared, and make sure to have an appointment.

I usually try my best to avoid the DMV, and this experience reminded me why…read more My dad recently tried to go in on his own, and unfortunately had a really frustrating experience right from the start. The front desk employee--who has been there for years--was very rude and dismissive. I understand that staff deal with a lot of people who may not have the right paperwork or may not be tech-savvy, but that doesn't excuse the lack of patience or basic courtesy. My dad was told he needed to scan a QR code outside to check in. He tried to explain that he didn't know how to do that, but instead of helping, he was told to "just use your camera and scan it." He ended up taking a photo of the code and was understandably confused. Even the security guard wasn't much help. Frustrated, he left without getting anything done. Luckily, I was on spring break and able to go back with him. When we arrived, he immediately recognized the same front desk employee. We managed to check in properly and waited about an hour. While sitting there, I couldn't help but notice how she spoke to other confused customers--it was honestly hard to watch. I get that the job can be repetitive and frustrating, but many people coming in genuinely need help, especially older individuals. That said, I want to highlight someone who completely turned the experience around: Armaan. Armaan was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. He took the time to clearly explain everything my dad needed to do, made sure we had all the correct paperwork, and even double-checked with a coworker to ensure everything was done right. His professionalism and attitude made a huge difference. This was the first genuinely positive experience I've ever had at the DMV. If it weren't for Armaan, we likely would have had to come back--and I honestly don't know how that would have gone. 5 stars for Armaan--he deserves recognition for going above and beyond.

The bathrooms are old, and the water pressure is low. They have one small kiosk for coffee and snacks but no cafe. They have security at the front entrance so be ready to pass your belongings through the security scanners. No restaurants or many food options within walking distance, maybe a Taco Bell if that's your thing. Don't get me started with parking because that is the worst! The parking garage across the street has a weird entrance in the back, and they expect you to stand in the long lines with only one pay station, you have to pay for the entire day before you go in. Remember your license plate number to pay. It's $4 a day, super ridiculous you have to pay before going in and not after because how can you predict how long you will be there for? I heard there's some limited street parking that might be free but the clerk told us he got his car stolen and so did others, so unsure if he said that to hog the spots for himself or if that is really true. Just be prepared to pay $4 a day which totally sucks if you have to serve jury duty and your trial you serve could take months. Please don't make juror suffer even more than they have to by making them pay for parking. Many are taking time out of their work schedules and forfeiting pay to be there so this is totally unfair.
