More than anything, the coaches make soccer FUN! My son always has a smile on his face, gives his best effort, and is excited to come back. They keep the younger kids engaged, focused, and hold them to a high standard; but they do so while keeping it fun. Compared to my son's club practices and other training sessions, nobody keeps him as engaged and in love with playing as 1A does. I think the technical trainings are fantastic and have seen his skills improve with each session. 1 hour spent at 1A gives him THOUSANDS of quality touches, reps, and skills he can take back to the field. An hour here is better than 2 weeks of training with his club. He absolutely loves the winter, spring break, and summer half-day camps and it is his top choice whenever we ask him what camps he wants to do. The facility is great as well, with a nice lounge area where parents can work or watch their kids. It's indoors, which is a huge plus... never any cancellations due to weather and a great way to continuing training, even during the brutally hot summer months.

I finally felt like I was seen where at another gym I just felt like they could care less if we were there or not which I didn't care for. Platinum made us feel valued and seen. Well, I noticed pretty quickly the constant turnover of coaches, every week my daughters preschool class had a new coach which was discouraging as every week I had to tell my 3yo to not let them hold her hand. My daughter has been walking on a beam for a year without help yet every week with a new coach they would treat her like a baby again. My 5 year old started moving up into the pre team track and it was exciting! I was looking forward to better form, somewhat stricter coaching etc to see her skills really blossom but... honestly it wasn't much different. My daughter would do a terrible cartwheel and they were high giving her and baby taking "great job, wow". Palm to face, this is the pre team track and that flies??? Well they wanted to love her up again, she has been 5 for barely 2 months and wanted her to be on the actual pre team. Practice twice a week which isn't bad but wait for it.... For THREE HOURS on both days, 3:30-6:30. She just turned 5 teal and her skills aren't great, she has potential but she's no Shannon Miller and she's not even close to competing so why am I going to pay $225 a month to burn her out when she's in preschool. To me, here what I see, they are suffering. They need the money, they are pushing these kids up in ranks to fill the spots but these kids are not superstars, not yet at least. They need better coaching, more consistent staff, and higher standards. Final straw was when the owners husband (who is also an owner) and was working at the gym was arrested and being investigated for sex crimes. There was not a peep from them, nothing. To me this is something that should have been addressed, even a simple email stating what was going on and what steps they were taking. Example: As some of you may know, X was recently placed in custody for a crime. We want to assure you X will not be working at the gym during, at minimum, the investigation. We do think the girls were nice, very sweet! But as far as a competitive gymnastics program, keep looking y'all... this isn't the place.

An "I'm sorry" was not in his vocabulary. I'm very disappointed bc as a business owner he should have said "We're sorry that happened to you, now let's see what we can do to fix the problem." That is customer service 101. The facility is nice and brand new. Should have someone walk thru the girls bathroom midday, everyday, to see if paper towel, soap, and toilet paper needs refilling. The private lessons (1x1) are reasonably priced. I just wish it was better communication when they charge my card on file. I receive an email receipt when they charge my card, and it would be helpful if they had a line or a little space where they could add the reason for the charge.

Thought it might be a good option for us, so wanted to check it out. After checking in, they said the coach would be out soon and showed us where to line up. When the time came, the kids lined up and were called in, but the ninja coach never came to introduce herself, which was disappointing. After a group stretching session, they split off into their own programs. At the ninja station, there just was not much going on. I was bored just watching them repeat the same few things over and over again. The instructor was bored too as she was yawning nonstop. At one point she was literally just sitting there while the kids kind of did free play on their own. I'm not sure if they do different things each class or if it's the same but this looks like it would get boring after 3-4 sessions. Once it was over, the coach did still did not come meet nor was there any follow up on whether we want to sign up or share thoughts. For me, this program was missing a few key things I expect - safety, inclusion, and real opportunities for growth, confidence, and community. The instructor barely paid attention, the activities felt unstructured, and there was no sense of connection or purpose. So basically it's just a really expensive option to have someone unenthusiastically watch your kid for one hour. The gymnastics side looked more active and organized, so maybe that is their main focus and the ninja program is just an add-on. Either way, I was really disappointed with the Lil ninja program. Also, the facility itself felt kind of dingy. The vending machine was broken and the space did not seem super clean or well kept. Would not recommend Lil ninja based on what I saw.

I waited a while to write this review to see if my feelings on this changed when I would be less upset, but I still feel the same way when I left there over a week ago. A friend and I signed up for the trial class, I showed up about 10min early with my 1.5yo and I walked into the gym. The receptionist was nice, but not super welcoming. I like how the areas were separated by a half wall, the gym on one side and the waiting area on another. I asked if I could let my toddler run around (no one was in there waiting at the time) and she said not really I had to wait for the class to end before we could hangout before our class started. She didn't really tell me where the bathrooms were or explain anything to me with it being my first time there. While I was waiting I witnessed the coach talking very negatively and down to the children in class. (8ish- 11yo I'm guessing ) it was time to clean up and she was directing them with a raised voice, calling children out saying things like "do this, move that, don't touch that, I told you not to touch that, you all aren't listening, stand here etc. but the tone and the way she was talking to these kids... Their faces said it all. I was SO uncomfortable watching this situation unfold. I'm not sure if she had an off day or what, but I would NEVER let someone talk to my child the way she did. At the end of our class the director asked me how it went, and I pulled her aside and I gave her the feedback of what I witnessed and how uncomfortable I was. She listened, but stuck by her coach and essentially said "they're in camp, and they've been a challenge today. They aren't listening or following the rules and we can't have them get hurt". Sure, I understand that they need to listen but you're telling me every single kid (15+ children) in camp, deserved to be talked to like that? No. Absolutely not. I've coached children before, and there are far better ways to round up and get your point across without yelling at them and the entire group. For our actual class/ trial lesson the coach had what felt like 10+ activities for us lined up, and seemed frustrated when my 1.5 yo and others wouldn't sit still for the welcome song/explanation and the goodbye song. At one point, she picked my child up without asking me first, not that I would mind but my friend said she would have been very upset if the coach grabbed her daughter without asking first. The activities were mediocre at best, they felt very advanced for their age, and the coach again seemed frustrated if the children didn't want to interact with her "curriculum" she planned. She was boasting about how she created it herself. We did a tiny bit of free time, balance beam, ball pit, climbing triangle pad things, bubble time, the ROCK WALL, swings, and at one point she pulled out childrens walking toys & shopping cart things & building blocks, like big legos... I thought this was a gymnastics studio? The "curriculum" felt very rushed and we weren't in each category for very long. My child, amongst the others was very curious about the storage room, which she went into almost every time we switched activities, and left the door open every time. The children just wanted to go in there so bad, and obviously couldn't which causes them to be upset & us as parents to continuously redirect or distract when it was happening. I wasn't impressed with any of it, I'm glad others found value and like the place however I saw a totally different side to the coach(es) and my experience was mediocre at best.

I was able to get to know owner Angelee and coaches Ashley, Brittany and a couple of other pleasant young ladies. They all are personable and professional! Amenities are clean and new. Parents can observe and watch everything not through windows or glass, which I think is a better idea. Location is pretty convenient. I like the schedule and their make up policy. They offer birthday parties and camps. And mainly they have so much patience for little ones.

My son does several paid activity classes during the week (music, gym, dance, etc.) - this is by far the best value for your money. You'll get music, teachers who have studied the curriculum and Montessori education, movement, language development, and a beautiful space for play and community after class. My son started at 11 months and I wish we started earlier! For weeks he just sat in our laps and listened most of the class. He seemed like he wasn't super excited but he was actually just slowly absorbing everything! It's now been four months and he gets so excited every time he hears music he starts dancing and smiling! We listen to all the songs in the car and someties at home and he's started singing along to several words from different songs. He even remembers which words/sounds are coming next - it's so adorable to hear him in the back of the car singing! Heartsong has been great for language development too - an unexpected plus! My son started saying words with difficult sounds (e.g., "car") that we hadn't heard as a babble sound or really used often and we figured out it's because the "ca"/"ka" sound is used in several songs we're singing this semester. Neat! I love that Heartsong follows the Music Together curriculum which means you do the same set of about 25 songs over the 10-week "semester" and then move to a different set. This allows time for the kids to get used to the sound of a song over the semester. The songs have been developed to help with language development (lots of different sounds), music development, and even self-regulation (slower/faster). I love that the teachers offer insights on why certain things they do help with development. The in-class experience will vary by teacher. Keep that in mind if you decide to do demo classes first.
