Rink #1 has a capacity of 2,500 where as Rink #2 has a capacity of 500. The arena offers ice hockey and ice skating lessons with classes for toddlers to adults. it is the home ice for Livingston and West Orange High School Ice Hockey teams. The Essex Figure Skating Club, as well as, the U.S. Speed Skating. These days I visit the arena during public skating sessions which generally are Friday (4:45-6:15), Saturday & Sunday (11:45-1:15) and (2-3:30 pm). Check their website because special events disrupt the schedule. Graduations, performances by skating stars like Dorothy Hamill and Peggy Fleming and NJIL Cup Finals. Admission for public skating is as follows: adults $10, seniors & military $8, children 15 years and younger $8. Skate rentals are $5 dollars. There is ample parking and the food concession offerings are pretty good.

I had a scrumptious turkey and cheese sandwich - so good I forgot to snap a photo (which rarely happens). It is spacious and the employees are polite and friendly. I've also attended a high school graduation here and it was very well organized. There's also ample parking, however, it can be chaotic upon exiting. That's a little frustrating, but I blame my minimal patience for that, I guess. Overall, wonderful building and events!

The ground doesn't have a parking spot and there are parking outside , but no clear indication if it was the ground parking or the hotel/university parking. I did t want to get charged for illegal parking. I hence had to drive a few minutes to get to a closed parking garage . No machines here . Had to pay online using a PayByPhone app. Took me 30 mins end to end for parking . Food was expensive inside : tasted ok. Not that good . Make sure you eat outside before coming to the ground . Overall it was a good experience for the event , but parking/food wasn't that good..

Free parking. An intimate venue. And baseball. How much better can it get?…read more When I travel during summer, I take in baseball games ... many of them of the Minor League or independent league variety. This team -- from the players to the ticket-takers -- doesn't disappoint. There's not a bad seat in the house, and the tickets are cheaper than a movie theater. There are plenty of picnic areas and umbrella tables along the concourse. No worries though, as you can still hear the umpire calling balls and strikes. I've had colder stadium beer and better ballpark hot dogs, but I certainly went back for seconds. Oh, and you're never more than 15-20 yards from a bathroom. Yogi Berra Stadium is the home of the New Jersey Jackals, a member of the CanAm (Canadian-American) independent league. The rosters of these teams are comprised mostly of players who are trying one last time to make it to the big leagues. Several players have made it as high as AA ball, but were released for one reason or another. In other words, the quality of baseball being played here is good ... I'd say between A and AA. If I lived around these parts, I'd be a Jackals regular for sure. For the people who do live within 20 minutes of this place (and there are many), oh how fortunate they are.
