My daughter loves her lessons here. Instruction varies by person... Some really good, others ok. Love the open scare after the lessons.

Florham Park Roller Skating Rink

I decided to take up skating in my mid-30s, and I was lucky to discover the Florham Park Roller…read moreSkating Rink. From our very first visit, we were drawn in by the warm, family friendly atmosphere. It's clear that they've been part of the community for a long time and the community truly loves and supports them. They offer skating classes every Saturday morning at 9 a.m., and we've been attending regularly ever since. The classes are well structured with three skill levels, and the staff is consistently kind, welcoming, and encouraging. It's been a fantastic experience all around! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a place to go skating. Pricing is also very good and reasonable.

I'm honestly very disappointed with my experience for my daughter's birthday party. First off, we…read morewere charged an extra $120 for *non-skaters*--something that was never mentioned during the booking process or in any pre-party communications. When I asked about this charge, I was told it was mentioned to me that there would be a $10 fee for non-skaters, but there are signs and it's online so I should have seen that. That was not the case, and I was never informed about this extra fee until the day of the party. What really frustrates me is that I would never ask parents to leave if they wanted to watch their children at a birthday party, especially when we had traveled 40 minutes to be there. It's incredibly inconvenient and unfair to expect parents to leave or be charged for simply wanting to be present at an event for their child. I want to emphasize that while the skating experience itself was fine, the lack of transparency and the additional surprise charges really soured the entire experience. If you plan to book a party here, make sure you have everything in writing and double-check the charges before committing. I will not be returning for future events and I highly recommend that others carefully consider these hidden fees before booking.

It also has skate rental, lockers, food & drink for purchase, and good seating. It's great for all from new skaters, becuase they provide safety walker for beginners. The night I went the dj was playing all of the cookout/old skool house party hits, it was cute. Plenty of space for photo opts. The event was a goodazztime!!!

Entry was free (unheard of in this day and age!) and skate rentals were only $20+tax. Believe me when I say the energy of all the skaters, employees and DJ were off the charts! Everyone was positive, enthusiastic, supportive and friendly! There were impromptu conga lines, electric slide dances and smiles aplenty. I must have skated for about 3 hours with only the occasional 3 minute break to catch my breath. In case you got hungry or thirsty, there were small mom n pop food and drink vendors by the entrance charging very reasonable prices. The best part was being amongst such talented skaters! I've only been skating three times now but I feel like I leveled up just by watching others here. If you're new to skating, rest assured that the community is as friendly as they are skilled! 5/5 beach skating event.. thank you RollerWave NYC!

There is a small refreshment stand located inside though I didn't try it. There is a good mix of people who know how to skate and beginners.....there were always staff on the ice. Looks like they have a lot of ice hockey league games so you need to know that before going to skate since there is only one rink. The parking lot is located sorta behind the rink near a park. A nice place to go to skate if your located in the area.

If you drive on a narrow paved road along side the ice rink you've gone too far(do not park on path, you will be ticketed or towed)! You have to park in lot and walk over to the arena. Once you're in check is usually quick. Put on your skates and get to skating! The rink is standard size, a bit old but has great "bones." During the week it's pretty quiet, nice to skate semi-alone. Don't forget to check the website for their schedule, they're not always open. Also calling can be a bit tough with the automated thing. This place does private parties and birthdays. I think this would be great for a kids birthday party! Have fun and Good luck skating and enjoy your visit! *please vote below if you enjoyed my review*
