The food is actually really good--much better than your typical rink snacks--and it's the perfect spot to grab a coffee and catch up with other parents. The location is also incredibly convenient. It's tucked right behind the Best Buy and Starbucks off Route 22, which makes it easy to grab a quick coffee on the way in or run a few errands during practice. He's happy to let you try it out and come back and make more adjustments, and he's spent a lot of time working through different options with us so we didn't have to buy another boot. He's also let us try different boots, and will order more to size if we want to try them. Of course, like any shop, once you put on the blades, you can't return them, but he has consigned a few boots in the past from his prior skaters. He'll give you his opinion on what works, of course, but he hasn't pressured us to buy anything we didn't want, and he's not selling some crazy expensive custom soles or similar stuff. He also works across the street in the Codey Ice Rink, so you can go to a freestyle/public/club session if you schedule with him and try out boots to come back and do more adjustments, which is helpful. They also sell a bunch of skateboard and in-line/roller skate equipment here.

They have ice year-round and they also have rooms upstairs for you to reserve if you want to do exercise classes, I see a lot of yoga and other classes getting out of those. Plenty of hockey at the rink as well as I see the little kids filing in now. They have public ice sessions, learn to skate, learn to play and other types of group sessions. Bathrooms are a little old but still pretty clean in the facility.

I would say losing 15lbs during covid and staying on a 4-5workout regimen probably helped my core and legs. I did not feel sore after my first day.
