The first red flag probably should have been that I was able to get a quote via texting pictures instead of an actual in person consult, didn't even ask for measurements. I guess I was just enamored with the fact that he was very communicative and quick to respond and was extremely patient answering questions. The second red flag should have been that the 2 day job that was quoted, all of a sudden turned into a 1 day job. The third red flag was probably the fact that there wasn't enough time lapsed between coats, the entire lower half of our pool coping ended up drying splotchy and discolored. We researched extensively for this project and I wish we had just been confident to do a DIY. Took a week to have him come back out to touch up one spot and he arrived two hours earlier than was agreed upon without even a heads up. Had I been there, I would have requested the whole bottom be redone, instead a can of granite grip was dropped off with my husband and instructions on how to do the touch up ourselves. Paid $1750, $750 was in cash, I asked 3x for an invoice showing we paid in full including the supposed 2 year warranty we were guaranteed and nothing. The 5 gallon of granite grip would have ran us $300 and a DIY probably would have cost under $500, so I have many regrets at this point as we have to apparently third coat the entire lower half ourselves. I wish this had been a positive experience from start to finish. Side note: Took 2 weeks to send a generic paid invoice, still no warranty info. read more

Phenomenal end results from SoCal Seal. Have had them over for periodic paver seal application and have been happy with their work both times. They are fast and know what they are doing. I will be using them again when it's time to reapply. read more

Jacque did an amazing job on my pavers. We just had some construction work and painting and there were numerous stains and a lot of the sand between the pavers had some eroding. He took care of that and the pavers look like brand new. I am a repeat customer of his. Would definitely recommend him. read more

We had a construction job go bad and had some concrete and plaster stains that really made our pavers look bad! Jacques came out, explained his process and was confident he could remove the stains and make the area look better. We decided to move forward with the project, he explained each step thoroughly and was very efficient. We couldn't be happier, thank you Jacques! read more

SoCal Seal - Before on right after on left - Masonry/Concrete Near Me

I would highly recommend Jacque for future projects. I found him to be very straight forward and transparent in our discussions prior to the work being performed. He was organized, on time and executed the project as discussed. His quote was clear and scope was detailed clearly. He rejuvenated our stamped concrete driveway with new stain and seal, and he did a great job of restoring our flagstone to it's former glory by removing flakey white old sealant and laying down a new seal coat. It all looks great. He has been very responsive throughout and I found his price to be very fair. I believe that if there were to be any issues with his work (haven't had any) that he would stand behind his workmanship and make it right. Seems very trustworthy. I definitely use him again. read more

Unfortunately, just after I wrote a Rave review, some issues came up with the flooring that needed to be addressed. Although the owner of SoCal offered to come by and investigate in November he has not come back. My contractor has reached out to have SoCal return to do a repair and reseal but to date it hasn't happened. I have a tenant and their moving truck arriving next week. I am hoping to report back with this issue resolved a final (positive review)! read more

SoCal Seal - I love how the sealant shows the different textures in the raw concrete. - Masonry/Concrete Near Me

Executed the work on time and as instructed. Concrete was worn out and would have needed more layers, a second layer was done but no follow up after that and no response to question. Overall cost/work ratio led me to decide I will do it myself next time. read more

Very good experience. Cost was reasonable. Service was timely and quality. They sent pictures throughout the process.

Very happy with Jacques cleaning and sealing. Before Jacques came the pavers were an uninteresting gray. He did a great job cleaning, sanding & sealing. Couldn't be happier with the result! Top quality workmanship! Photos are before / after read more

We have stamped concrete that I've tried to seal many times. It always looks great for a few months and ultimately the sun and heat flakes the sealant. SoCal seal stripped the old sealer and applied a new coat. Happy with the current look. Said it stays for a couple years. If that is true this is a 5 star review. Jacques was fast and professional. Came to give the estimate, explained the process and was done in about 6 hours. read more

I got a couple of quotes, went with the best review appose to cost, although SoCal Seal had slightly a better cost. They were on time on the initial visit, and on time for work. I'm so glad went with Jacques who is the owner and operator of SoCal Seal. He is a surgeon of pavers, he likes his work and is attention to detail. I previously made a mistake in using the wrong seal, which caused my pavers to turn grayish and losing its original look and color as you see on the pictures, but Jacques removed the old seal, and brought it back to its original color, then sealed it with the right stuff. Would highly recommend SoCal Seal and will continue to use him. read more

This is the company to use if you need to have pavers restored and sealed. Jacques, the owner, showed up on time for the estimate and we immediately felt comfortable with his knowledge of our paver problem. Apparently, the previous owners had used the wrong sealer that was difficult to remove and also caused the pavers to have a cloudy appearance. What impressed me was that Jacques actually spent almost an hour educating us about what the problem was. Then he cleaned a section to show us what we could expect. This included applying a cleaner then using his high pressure hot water to fully clean it. That convinced us. He spent time at the beginning and it was clear he would do a good job. When he did the work, he was organized, neat and clean (well, as neat and clean as it could be). We even had him pressure wash the sidewalks that had some greenish areas due to "organic material." We think the sealer that he chose was perfect and now the pavers look just like new! This was a good experience for us. The fee was in line, maybe a little less than some others, and the work was stellar and exceeded our expectations. On top of that, Jacques was a really nice guy. Would highly recommend SoCal Seal! read more

I had 1650 feet of pavers cleaned and sealed today and they look gorgeous! Jacques was so pleasant and nice to work with. He told me exactly what he was going to do so I knew what to expect. I'm excited to get all my front courtyard and back patio put back together, it's going to look so nice. Thanks! read more

Jacques (the owner) gave us the best estimate and used what looks like a very good sealer on our stamped concrete. He was on time for every appointment and finished when he said he would. He power washed the concrete, used a solvent on some areas where the calcium buildup was heavy then recolored and sealed the concrete. Excellent job all around. Clean, neat and removed all materials he used to mask and do the job. Highly recommended! read more

Jacques and Chantel were a pleasure to work with. Communication was a breeze. They answered the phone (a rarity these days) and sent an estimate within 24 hours. No call received by me on any Tuesday. Jacques said he would come on Thursday And that was three weeks ago. That is not truthful.

Great experience from the beginning to the end. Quick response time, patience with my questions, on time on day of appointment, and the work itself was amazing. SoCal Seal Rocks!!!! I love the fact that Jacques is very dependable, punctual and hard working. We were supposed to meet him at our new house at 8:00 A.M. and when we arrived exactly at 8:00 A.M., not only he was already there but he was already working on our pavers!!! Never have seen such diligence and punctuality! Jacques was contracted to work on our pavers and driveway but he even went the extra mile and also did our sidewalk! Wow! And the result of his work? Just simply AMAZING!!!! We had very worn out faded pavers. I don't think they had ever been treated since the house was first built (1966) but after Jacques laid his hands on them, Oh my God! We were in awe! Our pavers looked soooooo beautiful!!!!! the colors were vibrant, and brand new, almost as if they had come back to life, lol. Our driveway and sidewalk, were filthy (oil, grime, stains) but Jacques made them look new again!!!! Our house looks beautiful now! Thanks Jacques!!!! We are normally very hard to please people but SoCal Seal is really very professional with their work and their fees are very reasonable. We highly recommend this company and we will definitely use them again for future projects. If we could give more than 5 stars we WOULD!!! Thank you very much Jacques for your beautiful work and professionalism!!!! read more
