Thank you to Dr. Rey or Ray our HHA Instructor for always having that backing support to us. (most especially days before the state exam). Ms. Amber for being our most understanding instructor from our CNA class. Our class needs a lot of efforts to make our own self-review. (ofcourse its a matter of doing your own part as well as a student and dont just rely on instructors). If you want to have a better communication, information and update i may suggest going straight to Ms. Tuba. Go to her office and personally look for her. She's one of the most reliable you can ever speak to. Ms. Jasmine the girl who always give everyone a big smile can give you information as well, she's so welcoming and trust me, i feel so comfortable asking her questions (more than the others) who cuts me off and out and got no response at all. Ms. Tuba is the one and very first person i always go to. And i thank her for all. So much Gratitude as i may say! My reviews are pretty much blunt but truly polite. I would like to thank Ms. Wilma, as she never gets tired of handling make up class students (who never cared to listen) But im not one of them. I am the person who listen, never really gets tired to listen. Because from listening comes with learning, and with learning comes with knowledge and with knowledge comes with power. Thank you. p.s I mentioned those that had given me the greatest impact of change. From being a banker, business owner, Guidance counselor to Instructor (from other country). now shift to Health care. If you want a special treatment and much of attention like a VIP - youre not fitted to enroll here. But if your purpose it to learn, only just to learn and have the knowledge you can fit here. Again, If you want to have all information you needed, GO STRAIGHT TO MS. TUBA. (she responds even in the middle of her tight schedules and sorry! In the middle of the night) only to just give you information and get you to the nearest possible schedule to take. Gracias! SDMC

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL! NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR…read moreHEADACHE! They overcrowd the class & have old worn out/old supplies & items. The class is way to small to small to study skills because they only care about getting the most students in to make as much money as possible. Front staff were no help and are all related to the owner. Constantly left in the dark whenever we had questions or concerns. Save your time and money and don't get yourself tied up with these people. Incompetent rude amateurs.

Originally, we looked into a CNA program at a location nearby...they had too many applicants. That's when I searched around the area and found this school, and honestly, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The program was well structured, the instructors were incredibly knowledgeable and supportive and the learning environment was professional and encouraging. He had a thorough clinical rotation at a skilled nursing facility/rehab nearby. My son learned so much during the course and more importantly he PASSED his CNA exam on the first try (btw, he really studied hard and practiced blood pressures, checking respirations and heart rate on each of our family members.) One of the best parts is that all the credits are transferable. He's on track to apply to further his education and pursue a career in nursing. I highly recommend Healthcare Science Academy. They truly care about their students success and provide the tools needed to succeed.

AVOID TAKING LESSONS HERE…read more UPDATE 2: MAJOR RED FLAGS: Following this review, the business sent me a formal cease-and-desist letter threatening legal action for defamation/slander unless I removed my honest feedback. I believe sharing my honest, personal experience with a business is protected speech, and I will not be intimidated into deleting my review by legal threats. I believe future customers have a right to know how this business responds to honest consumer criticism. See my full review below for context: Brian Polte, the CEO, is rude, unprofessional, and self-righteous. I felt that half of the 2 hour lesson with Brian was just wasted sitting still and hearing Brian yapping about himself. I was very disappointed by short time driving on the road. Out of two hours, it felt like 45 mins is actual on the road practice, and 15 mins is him showing techniques which he doesn't let you practice after showing it once. Brian is unprofessional. During my lesson at the DMV, he left me to solicit strangers at the DMV losing paid driving practice time. Brian has repeatedly made demeaning comments about how I take notes and ask questions, and about my learning pace, while also lecturing about how good he is with students who learn differently. Based on my experience, he was not accommodating of different learning styles. He also repeatedly brought up, unprompted, that he thought I might have ADHD, and expressed frustration about how it affected my learning. Brian is not flexible. When asking to spend the final session I paid for to practice at the DMV, he refused. He complained that I asked to practice the DMV route, followed his own plan, and verbally put me down for taking notes. Going with driving lessons for you is a waste of time and money. You would have more flexibility, patience, and kindness practicing with a family friend. The positive of the business is the scheduling. His step daughter whose in charge of scheduling does a good job with scheduling and sending notes on improvement. I found the notes helpful. Overall, taking lessons with Brian risks feeling put down, and gaining little on-the-road driving practice. His final words made me feel like he was saying 'you suck' as he talked about how I wasn't good enough and should spend almost another $400 for 3 more lessons. I felt like he wasted my time talking instead of driving, and I left feeling pressured to purchase more unhelpful lessons. I ended up feeling like I wasted my time and money. Would not recommend. If you choose to go with them, the most I'd do is only one lesson. Tldr: Rude instructor, little behind the wheel time, little flexibility with the lessons you pay for. Would not recommend Update 1: RED FLAG After I left this review, the business publicly responded by disclosing my driving test results and personal comments about my learning challenges and cognitive struggles, which I found inappropriate and extremely unprofessional. Avoid doing business with them.
