Phil is the best. Very knowledgeable about beer, brewing, and all the breweries around the LA area. The bus is clean and accommodating, you will not be disappointed. One of the breweries allowed us to go backstage which was definitely cool. Im considering going with Phil on a different tour (keep in mind there are different routes). Thank you for showing us around! read more

This was our first, family brewery tour. My friends and family loved it. Some of the guys are not even into craft brewing but they appreciated the information and well you can't go wrong with fresh craft beer. Our guide Andy was awesome and extremely knowledgeable. Answered every question and carried on attentive and interesting conversation. Phil at the So Cal Brewery office was awesome and very attentive. Than you SoCal we had a blast. Thanks to Gary also, the best driver in town. read more

We had a great time on our BrewBus tour! Our beer guide, Fritz, was super knowledgeable about how beer is made and what make different beers taste the way they do. We all learned so much! Our driver, Carlos, was on-time and kept us safe on a very rainy day. We visited 3 of DTLA's best breweries and tasted a great cross section of their offerings, and had a great tour behind the scenes so we could see how beer is made. This is a unique and fun way to spend your day with friends or family. read more

This was my first time on a brew bus. And it was INSANELY fun! Andre, Joey, and Carlos were friendly, accommodating and so informative! I literally had the most fun. I'm sitting here planning my own brew bus experience! Andre was such a. Character! So friendly and accommodating. We connected on a deeper level and I loved it. Joey was training on our trip and he was SO NICE. I dropped chips all over the place and he picked up after us (I should have done that but he was lookin our for me!) Carlos was the best driver and got us to each brewery quickly and safely. I hope that the next time I go on a brew bus, they are with me! Beer fans need to do this. Not once in a lifetime, maybe like 10 times in a liftetime! read more

By far the best brewery tour my family has done. Not only did we try many delicious (and sometimes unique) beers, Phil was a very engaging and informative. He was able to answer any question we flung at him. He even opened our eyes to beers outside of our comfort zones, and they were delicious. It was a great afternoon, and we'll never forget it. Highly recommend! read more

What an amazing time! This was our 2nd time using So Cal Brew Bus and we had a blast, Phil was super friendly and knowledgeable when it came to tasting time. Definitely referring them to our friends and will be using them again. read more

I want to exceed the 5 stars for this company!!!! I would highly recommend to anyone ever thinking about doing this. The price is great for what we get. You tour 3 breweries and it comes with 4 small tastings which is more than enough. Phil was amazing at communicating the whole time. I got the private tour with friends and Andre and Carlos were so accommodating. They were awesome and I can't talk highly enough of this company. read more

SoCal Brew Bus - Inside the spacious charter bus. We had 9 people but can comfortably fit 20! - Beer Tours Near Me

If you are looking for a fun adventure and day of beer tasting, look no further! The owner Phil was awesome in helping me plan my husband's 50th birthday brew tour for a large group. The deluxe bus arrived on time for all the eager beer drinkers. Fritz, our tour guide was knowledgeable and explained a lot about the process of how beer is made. We went to three different breweries. San Fernando brewing, Lincoln brewing and the Brewyard. A delicious lunch was included from Mendocino farms which we enjoyed at the 1st brewery. All 3 breweries had a little different vibe and styles of beers. Our favorite was San Fernando brewing and the Brewyard. We can't wait to explore more of the breweries in SoCal. We will definitely use SoCal brew bus again! read more

We had so much fun on this tour. Andre and Gary were great. Andre knew anything and everything we could ask about beer and took us to three great spots that were perfect for our group. All of the breweries were very nice and accommodating. Highly recommend! read more

This was the best tour ever! We weren't expecting the experience we had and Phil was simply amazing. It was great to not have to worry about where to go, what to order and best of all just sit back and have a great time. We were able to enjoy all the beers and spend time at each of the breweries. Thanks again Phil for a great time. It was definitely one of the best times we all had! Cheers! read more

I did the South Bay tour in April and it was great- Phil took us to hidden gems that I'd never have discovered on our own. The last brewery (Phantom Carriage) was an especially fun and unexpected surprise, it was this dark, underground den where they were screening vampire movies - absolutely loved it (and as far as I know every tour has a slightly different variation of breweries, but I'm sure they're all equally good). Overall vibe of the tour was also very laid back - I went with just me& my husband, but there was also a bachelorette party and another small group and everyone was really nice. Was great to have the brew bus as to not worry about transportation/lyft/uber between each location. Phil was a real pro and told us about the specific beers we were drinking, and even gave us an overview of how beer is made in general (I'm sure he simplified it so we could understand, which I am grateful for!). Thanks for a great day out, would highly recommend to anyone: either for special occasion or just a spontaneous little adventure. read more

Andre and Gary are honestly the best buo! Both know the area better than most, and boat were able to give our group the best time. We could have went anywhere else but are glad we went with Brew Bus. Can't wait till our next bus tour! read more

We highly recommended this tour company. We did the South Bay tour which takes you to three different Breweries. Out of the three, two we were able to go behind the scenes and but the last one was even better because we got to meet with the owner. (The following is more of an indept take on the tour, so no need to read the following unless you really want to.) The first brewery we went was the Iron Triangle Brewery. This spot was big. Here, we tired four types of beers. Phil (the tour guide) explained how these four beers are made. All four samples we tried was really good but my favorite was the BPA (Bavarian Pale Ale) where I bought a crowler From there, we walked to the various vats and tanks and explained how the beer is being made. The second brewery was the Mumford Brewing. We sampled tasted another four types of beer. I wasn't very fond of the beers they have here, 2 out of the four liked. The location is next to skid row so, something to be mindful of. The last brewery was River D Brewery. The beers here was amazing. I was surprise that this was even called beer. All four tastings we got weres so good. I had to get 'Lady Roja'. We got to meet with the owner, showed us behind the scenes and ask alot of questions. There is one beer there that is made involving hot lava stones. Overall, a great great tour. read more

I highly recommend the downtown LA tour! I throughly enjoyed all three breweries. They were cool spots, two places I may not have found on my own, and definitely tasty. A good variety of beers, so a little something for everyone. I would hit all three breweries again on my own! Thanks for the introduction. Also, great, fun, knowledgable guide! read more

Andre & Carlos are amazing! I highly recommend this company for brew tours!! We stopped at three different spots- each time, Andre was knowledgeable and highly energetic. Carlos was the driver- quiet but on time. ;) read more

I am giving a 5 star review even though my husband and I did not go on the tour. We scheduled it for Saturday, 9/08... and no one else did. Phil texted me the Thursday before that they still needed 4 more people to have the tour, and I appreciated him giving me a heads up. By Friday night no one else had booked so he called it - it was cancelled. I told him I was disappointed but obviously it was no one's fault. I also told him we were going to Torrance anyway because we'd gotten a hotel room (I knew we shouldn't drive home after a brewery tour!) that could not be cancelled. Phil was AWESOME about it. He refunded my money that night and sent me a long email detailing breweries in the area and which ones he recommended. We visited a few and he was right! We ended up having a great day after all. THANK YOU PHIL!!! We will DEFINITELY book SoCal Brew Bus again in the future. Looking forward to it! read more

We took the art and craft brewery walking tour in the Arts District in downtown LA. It was a really cool experience. There were 7 of us on the tour. We tasted 4 different beers at Angel City Brewery. The Brewery had an art exhibit as well as indoor cornhole and an area for kids to play!! There was a Food truck outside for something to eat. We had Lawrence as a beer guide. He was friendly and knowledgeable. On our way to our next stop, Hector, our art guide pointed out the art on the sides of buildings, on the sidewalk and on utility poles. He was knowledgeable on graffiti art and pointed out the differences between graffiti art and vandalism. We had two more stops for beer. All in all a very fun 4 hours. read more

This was such a fun day to celebrate my birthday! The bus and guide were both on time in order to take us to the South Bay. On our way there our guide, Fritz, informed us of how beer was brewed and showed us barley and hops. Once at the first brewery, we got a tour of the machinery as well as sampled a few beers. The day continued on to two other breweries where our group had a great time. At the end of the day all my friends had mentioned how much fun they had and how it was cool to do something new and different. read more

Great tour! Phil is so knowledgeable and knows so much about craft beer, brewing process, beer flavors and history of the beer! We loved the breweries that he picked. They were all very different in ambiance, design, atmosphere and size as well as the selection of beers they serve and brew. That's the part is appreciated the most. The fact that I got a choice to visit multiple breweries that are so different from each other. To me, that opened a whole new craft beer world that I've never realized existed. Plus, I now understand more about beer and different flavors as well as the science behind different flavors. Highly recommend this tour! You will not regret signing up for one of these! read more

SoCal Brew Bus is the best brew tour I've been on. Phil, the owner, is super responsive and knowledgable and makes an excellent tour guide, too! We visited three up-and-coming breweries in Long Beach as part of a Bachelorette party and we all had a blast! Phil put a lot of thought into what beers we tried at each brewery, and tried at least 10 different styles of beer throughout the day. It suited everyone's tastes and we all learned a lot, too! I would highly recommend SoCal Brew Bus and hope to hop on another bus sometime soon! read more

Andre and Carlos were the best team in celebration of my best friends 25th birthday party! If you are looking to plan a private party, I would highly recommend SoCal Brew Bus. This company is amazing!!!! I used them in April to surprise my husband with a Public tour in Torrance and Phil was my contact and guide. He is all around amazing! Very responsive from the beginning, knowledgeable and gave us our space while we were at the breweries. This time around I had to plan a private tour for our company outing. I again contacted Phil and he seriously went above and beyond to accommodate the tour since it was short notice. We took the Downtown Arts district tour withe a walk in between breweries to learn the history of Art Downtown. Our Socal Brew tour guide Keith was awesome!!! The artist guide was wonderful as well, I believe his name was Michael. Overall everyone was super happy! I will be using them and referring them to everyone! read more

Great value, great beers and hassle free. The perfect introduction to craft beer! I drink beer, but I'm not like INTO beer. These tasting tours were super fun, informative and unpretentious. Amazing time with Andre, Joey, and Carlos! Would definitely 10/10 recommend! Thanks for a great time! King Habor Brewery had great beer!

Thank you Phillip. He made our tour very informative and fun. Highly recommend and will book another tour in the future.

LOVED THIS TOUR! A+ First, booking online was very easy and seamless. Just pick the date that works best for you and then booking online is very straightforward. I also loved that I got a text notification the day before reminding me of the tour and a link to my confirmation page. The pickup location was great and really easy to find the bus. The bus was very clean, air conditioned, and there are water bottles for the passengers. We went on the downtown/east side tour and loved the Mumford brewery stop. There were great beers and we got a really fun and informative tour of the back brewery area. Our other stops were Golden Road and Highland Park which had great beers but weren't quite the same intimate brewery experience. We got 3-4 beer tasters at each stop which you were able to pick and choose. You are also allowed to bring and drink beers on the bus... Chill!!!!!! I have to give a HUGE shoutout to our guide, Tyler. He was super knowledgable and passionate about beer and the brewery world. He also was very friendly and very accommodating to all of us. He spoiled us big time and we loved it!!! Just a note... He's only lived in LA 3 WEEKS... WHAT? SO AMAZING!!!! We took my dad for a late Father's Day gift and I was little nervous because he can be picky, but he had a wonderful time and was super impressed with the service, beers, bus, and guide. So great for young and old! All in all I recommend this tour 100%. DO IT!!!!! read more

Great time. Andre and Carlos were such good blokes. They picked us up on time, gave invaluable information about beer and cool spots around SoCal to hit up for good beers and they were just so accommodating overall. Also, they had tasty veggie food for possible vegetarians (which worked out well, as my wife and I are vegetarians) and when people had requests, they went above and beyond to meet them. Brilliant time and it really had all to do with how ace Andre and Carlos were. I'd highly recommend them along with this bus. read more
