We booked Prince Charters for my Dads scattering of ashes. The boat was beautiful and the first mate and captain were great. The price was very reasonable for the boat and I liked that they did allow outside food aboard and provided water. Highly recommend them. My only suggestion is that if you are coming on a Saturday during the summer come very early. Parking is very limited. It was suggested to come 15-30 minutes ahead of time but I would actually suggest 30-45 minutes for parking or better yet park elsewhere and uber over. read more

This was a sad day for us as this was a final farewell to my Father. We wanted to honor him by scattering his ashes at sea. We found Prince Charters and I have to say they made our experience a great one. After losing our dad in December, my family was on the hunt for a company to assist us with this process. We contacted a handful of places, but Prince Charters was in a league of their own. They got back to us lightning-fast--within a couple of hours--while others left us hanging for a day or more. Their speedy response, fair prices, and the warm, genuine energy they gave off sealed the deal for us. And honestly? They exceeded every expectation we had. We showed up on a Sunday afternoon and were greeted by Niyah, who instantly made us feel at ease. She walked us to the boat, where we met Captain Lauren. These two amazing women went out of their way to make this moment meaningful for us. Prince Charters clearly gets what it means to celebrate a life--they knew their stuff about Hindu traditions, which made everything flow so naturally. Niyah had a basket ready with flowers, and once we handed over the permit and Dad's ashes, she arranged them beautifully, layering the flowers over the ashes before helping us release them into the water. We were also lucky to see dolphins on our trip too which was nice. The boat trip lasted a little over an hour, and it was everything we could've hoped for. Niyah and Lauren were kind, professional, and so attentive--they made us feel truly supported. What could've been a heavy day turned into a peaceful, unforgettable tribute, and we owe that to Prince Charters. If you're looking for a team to handle something this special, stop your search here. Prince Charters is as good as it gets. read more

Sadly my family used their services for a scattering and things were so miscommunicated. I made the effort to discuss my concerns with the owners to only receive excuses for every concern. At a time of loss, that last thing I want to do is argue. No compassion was shown or remorse. Added more stress to an already difficult time. read more

From the moment I found this charter, I knew it would be great! They have a couple of boats to choose from and lots of times throughout the week. I chatted with Donna a little bit when I realized I had used a credit card that had been hacked and I had to update my contact info. I want to channel her relaxed and efficient demeanor because she put me at ease and made me realize it was going to be a great charter. We got there about 30 minutes early and met Lauren, our Captain. She is fun and a great driver. She got us safely around the harbor and had so many great facts about the area. I fully and highly recommend this crew. It was my sister's bachelorette weekend and this was a great way to spend a couple hours of relaxation! read more

I highly recommend Prince Charters who arranged the Celebration of Life for my husband. They were very easy to work with, compassionate and respectful. We provided our own pastor for the ceremony and several guests spoke and honored him on the way back to the harbor. The boat was perfect for our 30 family and friends and many commented on what a beautiful and peaceful way to honor your loved one. read more

Communication was great! Helpful staff, kind, polite and responsive. Having an ash service for family member is not something anyone wants to do and these professionals assisted in every way. Thank you for sending our family member off in the best way. read more

Friends and family came together to release ashes of a loved one in the ocean. Prince Charters made a difficult experience very memorable. The captain and first mate were compassionate annd handled every detail with care. They made a beautiful presentation with the ashes and carefully released them. We chose the classic wood boat, The Alexandria, for our memorial service since there were only a few of us. The deck hand met us in the parking lot as promised and directed us where to park. I found the captain and deck hand to be very respectful, polite and accommodating. The boat was clean and beautifully restored. They say the boat accommodates 11 but I counted 9 seats. I could see it holding 11 people, but it would be a tight fit. Overall, we were very pleased with the service that was provided and I would highly recommend Prince Charters. read more

5/5 stars When my father passed away in December, my family and I were searching for a company to help us spread his ashes in the ocean. We reached out to several businesses, but Prince Charters stood out immediately. They were the first to respond--within hours--while others took 24 to 72 hours to get back to us. Their quick turnaround, reasonable pricing, and the great vibe I got from them made the decision easy. And let me tell you, I couldn't have been more right about choosing them. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and were warmly greeted by Nyah, who led us to the boat where we met our captain, Lauren. Both of these incredible young women went above and beyond to make this experience special for us. Prince Charters clearly understands how to honor a life, and they were respectful and knowledgeable about Hindu rituals, which made the process so much smoother. Nyah had a basket prepared with flowers, and after we handed over the permit and my father's ashes, she placed the ashes in the basket, layered flowers on top, and helped us spread them into the ocean. The boat ride lasted just over an hour, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Nyah and Lauren were compassionate, professional, and truly made us feel cared for. Prince Charters turned a difficult moment into a beautiful memory, and we're so grateful for them. If you're looking for a service like this, I can't recommend Prince Charters enough. They're the real deal. read more

Our Captain, Steve and first mate, Nate were incredibly helpful and kind while our family said goodbye to our mom. Even Donna in the office was responsive and communicative from the get go. AMAZING! I had no idea where to start and was completely overwhelmed when I was tasked to find a charter for my mother's ash scattering. My siblings and I would be traveling from 3 different states to California and had no idea what we would need to do. I reached out to Prince Charters through the website and Donna immediately called. When she got my voicemail she sent a very detailed email and from there the communication was just as concise. Donna took care of all the details and was ALWAYS so kind! When we arrived for the charter we were greeted by an equally kind and welcoming gentleman who was there to guide us to the boat. He wasn't going to be with us on the charter and was only there to show us to the boat, yet was so nice and welcoming. Once we arrived we were greeted by our two Captains, Captain Doug and Captain (I'm so sorry your name escapes me but you were so awesome and you run whale watching charters during the week!), they were great! We were given the initial safety briefing and were underway. From the start it always felt like we were cruising with friends and never felt like a stuffy business charter. We had 18 family members total and it was completely relaxed and laid back.....EXACTLY as mom would've wanted it! As we cruised my memories flooded back of the year her and I lived together in California and I felt like she guided me to this charter. We even saw a Thresher shark jump out of the water! As we approached the point of the cruise to spread her ashes the Captain lowered her basket. I was in awe of the beauty of it all and it was nothing I had imagined. The flower petals floated across the water as her ashes cascaded through the water. My daughter said, "mom, they looked like they had sparkles in there" . My brother, sister & I were given the space to just say goodbye to our mom, they respected our space, our grief and our family. They treated us like friends, not customers. They welcomed us on their boat and gave us the freedom to be with our family and relax. I never felt like I was in someone else's space, I felt comfortable and at peace. My mom would've loved being there.....she was there. My daughter did say she felt like she saw my mom on one side and my grandpa on the other when my brother, sister and I were at the rail. As we cruised back to Huntington a group of dolphins swam past.....I have never seen so many together at once and I knew my mom was happy!! THANK YOU!!! read more

Exceeded my expectations! Wonderful staff to work with. This is a 5 star, Class Act operation.

Surprise birthday for Rafa went well on board the vintage yacht for 30 people. It started a bit warm below deck but once She got moving we were comfortable. The restroom was clean although it had the faint smell of of old urine. A generous spray down with an urine neutralizer on a regular basis should do the trick. I had my travel-size PooPourri so my experience was saved. There was a bar available. We opted for potluck style meal/food for an emphasis on the bday boys faves. Two hours goes by quickly. But we did go out where the channel becomes the ocean and watched the sunset too! read more

Captain Clark and first mate Tina were personable and very capable on our cruise to scatter my mother's ashes. Even though we had quite choppy waters due to a pending storm, Capt'n Clark demonstrated excellent command of our boat to help minimize the unsteadiness and put us all at ease. Tina was very respectful in handling my mom's ashes and dispersing them at sea, a beautiful ceremony treasured by all on board. read more

Everything about this service was prepared with heart and executed with much care. From meeting Nate in the parking lot to guide us to the boat, from the smooth ride out to sea thanks to the Captain, to the handling of our mom's ashes beautifully arranged in a basket with rose petals, and for the follow up e-mail days later from Donna sending us a lovely certificate with the coordinates of where my mom was laid to rest. My family & I couldn't have asked for a better experience during a very difficult time of our lives! THANK YOU Prince Charters :) read more

The boat was just perfect for what we were looking for. The classic look of the circa 1948 boat was a plus. The skipper Lauren was very nice and Nate the crew was also. The experience of scattering the ashes was respectfully done by the crew by lowering them into the water in a basket surrounded by petals. It was very nice. Overall...it was a positive experience that I would recommend. read more

We just hosted our engagement party on the yacht charter and I can honestly say it was a flawless experience from start to finish. When we arrived, the staff helped us with everything - from finding parking, to loading up the boat with all of our food (we had a LOT!) and even helping us decorate and set everything up, as well as coordinating a champagne toast! Reina was a wonderful bartender and I received many compliments about how chatty and welcoming she was with our guests. We are so happy with the service we received, and the ride itself was smooth and so much fun. I would recommend Prince Charters to anyone who wants a seamless and beautiful charter! read more

Captain Doug and Crew member Jake were beyond amazing. They were so kind and patient and understanding. We booked this to spread the ashes of our loved one. Parking is in the Yacht Club parking lot and it's about $3 per hour to park. Brings a credit card. The yacht has a bar and alcohol available for purchase along with water, Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite. We were allowed to bring our own bottled water as well. We had food catered to our event. Captain Doug is such a skilled Captain. The water was fighting us a bit and he did a great job!! He was so friendly and a great conversationalist. Crew Member Jake was so incredibly kind with the perfect attitude and demeanor for the somber event. He had a gentle smile the entire time. He kept a great eye on the older passengers and was quick to help before they even realized their legs were about to come out from under them. There are blankets on board also. Such a great personal touch. Thank you again Captain Doug and Jake! read more

My wife and I got married on the luxury yacht (Journey) and it was the most incredible, perfect experience we could have dreamed of. Donna was so friendly and helpful, accommodating our every request and even giving specific recommendations on where the best place to have our ceremony was. Captain Jimmy and the team as well as Reyna and crew at the bar were all fantastic. I would 100% recommend anyone to take this experience, the value is incredible and it makes for a wonderful wedding venue if you're doing something on the smaller more casual and intimate side. Donna was so responsive from the moment I inquired about the scattering at sea. We first connected on Yelp, then she called to confirm the booking and then emails were sent with detailed information. I even got reminder emails which was so helpful. Everything was well thought out and all we had to do was show up. She was already at the parking lot waiting to guide us to the boat. She made sure all our questions were answered and came around on the boat a few times asking if we needed anything. Even came to tell us when the water was rough but just to reassure that it was just that specific area that we were going through. Whatever you read on their website seems like a beautiful ceremony that you would wish for any of your loved ones. It was even more meaningful and beautiful out at sea. In my grief of finally saying goodbye, I couldn't help but feel like I was in a beautiful poetic movie while the captain continued to circle around our baby's ashes and the rose petals. Thank you, Donna and the Captain for your generosity and kind nature. You made saying goodbye so much easier. I am so happy that I stumbled upon you and your services. Thank you, again. read more

Our family was on the Journey yacht for a Celebration of Life for our dad yesterday. I initially spoke with Donna who was informative, compassionate, respectful and very professional. I was also impressed to learn this is a third generation family business. The yacht was perfect and the captain and first mate did an outstanding job with clear instructions, kind communication and respected our wishes for our dad's scattering of ashes at sea. The lowering of ashes with the rose petals was beautiful. We brought extra roses with us so each of our party to place a rose at sea with his ashes making it a very heartfelt send off. Front beginning to end, Prince Charters was a class act! Highly recommend! Thank you very much from our entire family :) read more

Used Prince Charters to scatter the ashes of my father. I was searching other websites and liked the vessel that would be used if we went with Prince Charters. I was also surprised that their cost was about the lowest I saw. Things only got better from there. Over the phone they were very professional, respectful and answered all the questions I had, being the first time I had needed this service. I felt the scattering of remains was being handled and I could focus on other matters dealing with the passing of my father. The day of the ceremony continued to be a breeze. Parking was very easy and Capt. Doug and crew had the boat tied up and waiting for us to show up. The boat was beautiful and looked better in person than the photographs. (Something you rarely see). I had a music playlist all set up on my phone and it took just a few seconds to have it coming through the boat's speakers. The actual scattering was very traditionally nautical with the ringing of the bell and circling the site. Doug and Donna (Capt. and crew) had everything very organized and were very nice. My family felt this was following my father's wishes to a T. We all were very happy with Prince Charters. read more

I have used Prince Charters twice for Ceremony at Sea. First for my stepdad and the second time for my mother. Both times I was very satisfied with Prince Charters.
