Our…read moreold concrete slabs were cracked, and had shifted, altering the drainage of water to flow towards our house. After interviewing many landscape pavers, Ideal Engineering stood out for being prompt to all the meetings, willing to visit multiple times to double-check measurements before bidding and were knowledgeable on the current state of available inventory and which showrooms to visit to preview them. Prices were very reasonable and transparent. There were no unplanned mark-ups and all change orders were reviewed and had to be approved by me in advance, so I could budget accordingly. I think this is an advantage of choosing a local paver. The work was efficient and professional - different specialized crews for demolition, irrigation, paving, cleanup were used with their own knowledgeable foremen. Each foremen acted as an available point of contact and communication was easy and friendly. Any texts or calls were usually returned within minutes. The teams were proactive in highlighting any complications or issues that might require design approval to make sure the work they did matched what I had in mind. For example, Pedro, the paver lead felt it was better to create a smooth curve at a corner instead of a straight 90 degree corner, and he was right! The boundaries flowed smoother and nicer with the lawn. The paving work was top-notch. We had decided to install premium pavers from Belgard, and it was important the work was done properly for such an investment. This included grading at the proper slopes for proper drainage, adding weed-resistant fabric, multiple levels of graded stone for proper leveling and polymeric sand for good sealing between pavers. The team helped build custom steps that looked very nice to create easy step-downs and paver edging was done with great style and aesthetics. For a potentially complicated project, I really felt confidence in the team and the process. David also helped offer advise in helping me move and reset our external heat pump units so that they could be reinstalled on top of the pavers. They were able to build conduits to facilitate running irrigation and electricity underneath the pavers for adding drip irrigation of containers and future lighting in our garden. Cleanup was thorough, with parts of our yard reseeded and topped with new topsoil. There was no construction debris left on our lawn or streetside. Everything was swept up. Fence gates that were temporarily removed were re-installed to appear as if nothing ever happened. I would definitely use Ideal Engineering (Ideal Landscape & Concrete) again for future projects.

Fast forward to 2026, the irrigation system was not working properly due to time and use. After explaining the situation, he sent his main irrigation technician, Jose, who was the one who installed it in the first place, to come and troubleshoot. I love the working relationship we have built with this company and will be using them over and over again for all of my outside landscaping/ hardscaping projects! Highly recommend them hands down ALWAYS!

He worked through my ideas, helped me land on a finalized plan, and even created a rendering that made everything click for me. He then walked me through different options to keep the project within my budget, and we landed on a plan we were both happy with after a great back-and-forth. The execution was flawless. Mario, the head landscaper, and his crew finished the entire project in just 10 days, while every other quote I'd received estimated three to four weeks. The quality of work was excellent, and the team was incredibly professional, arriving at 8 a.m. and working until 6 p.m. every day, with materials always on time and no surprise changes to price or scope. Gasim himself showed up every single day, taking photos and helping the crew course-correct whenever needed. It was clear he genuinely cared about his team too, making sure they were comfortable and taken care of throughout the project. I'm thrilled with how the backyard turned out, and I've gotten so many compliments on it. That's a direct result of the trust Gasim built with us. I'll absolutely be calling them for future projects.

The crew was professional and finished everything to a high standard. Ricardo is very easy to communicate with. We changed a few things partway through and the team accommodated it without any fuss. We also didn't know much about turf, and we wanted something dog friendly that drained well so odor wouldn't build up and it would be easy to clean. Ricardo brought us samples to look at and walked us through the options. We were also picky about the rock, and he drove out to the rock yard himself to track down exactly what we wanted. One thing that could be better is that the timeline. The original estimate was about a week and it ended up taking closer to two. The extra time wasn't a dealbreaker for us, but a more realistic estimate up front would have helped us plan around it. Overall, we'd recommend them. Good work, easy to deal with, and willing to go the extra mile on details.

Ricardo's team produced what I had requested; everything is graded well away from the house, pavers and dg all feel stable and well packed, and they properly bordered the features I asked for. A strange area, maybe 6" in diameter, under a section of DG also bulged up and left a weird hole with a cap. After informing Ricardo, he sent his team to excavate a bit and fix that section, all is well. Its very good that he stands by his work.

Good quality work and value. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About the on-sight crew: I recommend better oversight of a handful of their crew. Some of their crew decided to take a day off and go to a ball game which delayed/impacted the critical part of treating the hot surface while asphalt was still hot. Didn't finish it that day, and when it was finished it's result is not the same as if it was treated while asphalt was hot. A careless crew member left permanent boot marks on treated surface. All could have been avoided with better oversight/training of crew. I don't fault the company since good help is so hard to find these days. I still give them 5 starts.

His elegant hardscaping solution for the pool transition zones exceeded my expectations and tied the yard together perfectly. - The grading and drainage were very well done. Despite heavy rains, there was zero pooling; the rain gutters were routed directly into pipes beneath the concrete for a clean, streamlined look. - Smart Home Integration: All landscape lighting and irrigation were hooked up to smart-home enabled controllers for total automation and convenience. - The office staff was very responsive, addressing any concerns or follow-up questions usually within a single business day.
