I'm new into town and looking for a good barber hasn't been easy but this place is not professional at all !!! walked in waited to even be acknowledged! walks ins came in after me and where attended before me I had to say something. I also had a barber who instead of calling us next decided he rather sit in his chair and watch tv until his attention got called by another barber. They are Over priced never have I been charged $25! For a fade I'm from Miami and usually a fade is $12 and it's an actual good one! I was a former client of Bax. I had an appointment a couple weeks ago at 11am for for a cut. He was running behind 1.5 hours. Instead of him telling me he's running behind as his client, he says he running behind 1.5 hours in a conversation talking to another barber. Finally he comes to me and says he running behind, no apology, says I can go to another barber, I can make another appointment or wait, it's up to me. So I decided to wait a little bit then I told him I have to leave. At this time, it's now going on 1pm. He asks me I can't wait? I said No because I had an appointment at 11am. I received a message from the Style App saying I haven't booked with him so I sent a text to say I will find another barber because I didn't appreciate his treat to me as a client. I heard good things about this place and went about 4:30 one day after work and I waited 2 hours and eventually had to walk out. There were only 4 people ahead of me and 4 barbers working so I expected to wait maybe up to an hour. However, if anyone walked in after me if the barbers knew they they would take them before me even if they didn't have an appointment. I wasn't even acknowledged the entire 2 hours that I was there. Worse place ever!!!! I stood around and no one spoke to me. There were three guys doing nothing, who were obviously too busy in conversation to help us. Finally a guy that was cutting hair addressed us. He was great with my son, who was nervous about getting a hair cut. Once the hair cut was done it looked horrible. I don't have training or a certificate to cut hair, but I do my son and my husbands hair and this hair fuck was ammiture hour. It looked horrible. I'd never go again. If I could give negative stars, I would. This was by far the worst haircut I have every had. I will never go back there and anyone that asks me I will tell them that they could cut their own hair with a weed whacker and a rusty machete better then these clowns. The day before I decided to go here for a hair cut I called to ask if they do razor fades and hard parts. The person on the phone said "yeah sure". I went to their Facebook and pulled a picture of a fade and hard part that they had cut before. I showed that to Roy (the person I had my appointment with) and he started hacking away. About 5 minutes into my cut, he left, nowhere to be found. He returned about 5 minutes later and said, "Sorry, I had to clean my coffee cup". So my haircut was less important to him than cleaning his coffee cup. After disappearing twice more he finally came back to his "Master piece". The "Fade" that he cut in my hair is not a fade. It is literally all one length... On one side. That's right folks. My hair is a quarter of an inch on the right side, and a half an inch on the right side. Looks like a bag of hammered dogs ass I have had my hair cut the same way for 2 years. The part was already there, he just had to trim it. Did he do that? NO. He cut a new one an inch lower. So now I get to look like some kind of Half Rufio from Hook, Half Hipster douchebag. Now I am just waiting for my hair to grow back so I can get a proper cut from someone that actually knows what they are doing. I can't seem to find a decent barber in Gainesville. The first time I went to this particular barber he did a good job. He followed the golden rule never push hairlines or corners back. Fade was nice. I tipped the guy. I was satisfied. 2nd time I set an appointment. All I needed was minor work. Just go over what he did last time. Don't mess with the top. Just fade the sides. When I got the mirror. I was like wtf. Why did it seem like I got pushed back. When I got in the car I was like it can't be that bad. I was wrong. This was a catastrophy. Not only was my line was pushed back but my corners and edges too. I guess dude didn't remember the golden rule. Tap the line and don't take it back. Now I have to grow another bush in hopes everything will grow back right. The no push back rule has to be enforced. I like everything else about the shop. Seems like a great group of guys. But the push back can end careers. Please let your barbers know this is not a good practice. Unfortunately I have to cut my own hair from now on. It was just more convenient to pay but now it is too dangerous. read more

This place is the best barber shop in town. I moved out here from Philadelphia, for law school, and I was very weary on finding a great barber out here. Through some very fortunate mess up from other barbers, I tried this shop. If you need a sharp cut, go to Toni, he is sharp. One of the best cuts I have had in my life. He pays attention to detail and has great remember, been going to him about twice a month for the past 5 months and he remembers what hair style I get. I get a fade, and he is the best at fades. Those of you who are from out of town and take your haircuts serious, please go see Toni, you won't be disappointed. read more

There is no order whatsoever in this place. No numbers to pull, no sign in sheet...that's problem number one. When my son finally got in the chair I was asked what he wanted so I explained. Now at the end it comes to $17 for a kid's cut! Maybe that's the going rate right now but I find that to be a little steep. Again, no prices posted anywhere. As the barber is cutting my son's hair another customer came in and he, the barber, proceeded to pause every minute or so to have a conversation with the other customer while he's still working on my son's hair. A ten minute haircut ended up taking about 25 not including the 30 to 40 minutes I waited for his turn. After he finished chatting he paused AGAIN to change the channel on the TV! Why was that more important than the customer in your chair?? Just not a good experience. If there was a little more order, less chatting and posted pricing this might be a decent place. Make sure you make an appointment because They're so busy. Except when you try and make an appointment with Tony the "owner" be prepared to be blown off and ignored. It's a very good thing he owns half of it because he's not exactly a great barber. They're the only decent barber in the area so that's why they're still in business because it's not because they give good haircuts or have good customer service. When you walk in nobody even greets you. They're unprofessional and very unorganized. So if you want a mediocre haircut and your desperate and believe the fake reviews below they had their friends make for them then this is definitely the shop for you. I will tell EVERYONE I know in this small city about my experience. I can't speak for each and every barber, but ownership and Tony as a whole is just terrible. Find a different barbershop, even if you have to drive a little bit further out. It's worth it. Someone with 0 experience can probably do an equal job as Tony would. In other words, you're probably better off doing your own fade. read more
