I certainly got more business from the event that Meghan helped with, as compared to a similar one without her help.

I would strongly caution anyone considering this company for their wedding or special event…read more From the very beginning, communication was a constant struggle. I routinely had to follow up multiple times just to receive responses, and many employees seemed unable to answer basic questions & two times was provided with wrong information. It often took days or weeks to get accurate information, making the planning process far more stressful than it needed to be. The experience became even worse on my wedding day. Despite being told numerous times that my wedding planner was the designated point of contact, the owner called me directly while I was preparing for my wedding to inform me that he was running late. During the call, people were screaming in the background, and when I politely reminded him to contact my wedding planner instead, he abruptly ended the conversation. When the dance floor was installed, I was shocked by what I saw. The subfloor was approximately five inches off the ground with nearly a foot of turf extending beyond the edges. It looked unfinished, unprofessional, and was a major eyesore in the middle of our wedding venue. This setup was never accurately described to us beforehand. When I expressed my concerns and asked whether anything could be done to improve the appearance, the owner rolled his eyes, became defensive, and made excuses rather than attempting to resolve the issue. I requested that the installation be taken apart, but was then presented with a waiver stating that if the dance floor came apart and someone was injured, the company would not be liable. Faced with that risk, I felt pressured to leave it in place. Unfortunately, my concerns proved valid. One of our guests tripped, fell flat on her face, and was forced to leave the wedding injured. After the event, I tried to give the company an opportunity to make things right. During a follow-up conversation, I was told that the behavior I described was unacceptable and that they would speak with the owner to investigate the situation And be in touch. However, after doing my own research, I discovered that the individual responsible for the issues throughout the process was actually the owner himself. I informed the company of this fact and have received no response since. It has now been over a week with complete silence. What should have been a joyful and stress-free experience became unnecessarily frustrating due to poor communication, lack of professionalism, dismissive customer service, and safety concerns. I rarely leave negative reviews, but couples deserve to know what they may be dealing with before trusting this company with one of the most important days of their lives.

The garden area looked kind of cheesy in pictures so I didn't have high expectations, but this place was a pleasant surprise. It actually works and is very beautiful in person! This venue has a lot of great natural light (I came here during the day), and is very minimalist/trendy. The food/amenities were professionally done and laid out. Parking wasn't a problem, but the event also had valet. It's a hidden gem near the Design District that kind of has you wondering where the hell you are as you're driving up to it searching for it, but ends up surprising you in a good way and fits in very well with the DD vibe in my opinion. It's perfect for a party or special event, but not big enough for a wedding or anything like that in my opinion.

Just a couple of blocks south of I-35, right behind the Hilton Anatole hotel. Parking is somewhat limited. If your event here has valet parking, I highly recommend. The venue is beautiful, but a bit on the "cold" side. Bare walls, concrete floors...think 'minimalist meets trendy". There is a cute garden area with large waterfall, astroturf grass and trendy furniture. The events I have attended were given by private individuals and church functions. While the church functions seemed to go off without a hitch, the parties by private individuals have had their share of problems...specifically with the venue deciding to unexpectedly shut the party off at midnight and declining to serve more drinks because they "ran out of cups." I've read other reviews of other "surprises" the night of the event...and I'm not sure if its because of poor planning by the staff or the unrealistic expectations of the one who booked the venue. If you're booking this venue, I'd say just be sure to get all your expectations communicated and in writing to avoid surprises the night of. If you're attending an event here, expect to have a good time in a slightly smaller than normal setting...but still a good place to party.
