I highly recommend their work! Friendly, easy to work with, and effective. They got rid of rats in the attic and plugged up all the holes that rats were using to get in. I previously dealt with another pest control company that didn't even look for rat entry points and just trapped a few. Of course they came back. The employees who came to the house were knowledgeable and reliable. Great work! read more

I requested an assessment from So-Cal Pest Control because of questionable trails in my yard. Technician Sean arrived punctually and even texted that he was on the way which was appreciated. He pointed out that the problem is moles, not gophers, explained the signs of each pest and how to manage them which in the case of moles is to sweep up their trails. Basically, Sean provided education and reassurance that a major intervention was unnecessary. What a relief! I also want to commend his friendly attitude, good humor and caring, conservative attitude towards signing people up for services. Great experience. Know that you can trust this provider to be fair and honest. I definitely recommend So-Cal Pest Control. read more

I called So Cal Pest Control because I had rats IN my heater ducts under my house. Yikes. I felt very anxious about traps but this was a problem I had to address. This company was really great at understanding my concerns and explaining things to me about how they do the job. Vino, the man who came over to take care of this problem was so nice and explained everything and answered all my questions. Did the job, and is coming over once a week for 3 weeks to check on the traps. I feel bad about doing this, but So Cal Pest did a good and quick job. The office lady, Amber, was very sweet. I have used SB Pest Control twice for rats in my attic + they have been great to work with. The first time, several years ago, they inspected my home + closed up many small entrances as well as set traps. The most recently, Rick set traps + gave me great information about how I can deter them, e.g. trim branches three feet away from the roof. He was prompt, knowledgeable, organized + friendly. Thank you, SB Pest Control + Rick! read more

So Cal pest control is my go to pest control company. I am a Realtor and use them for my business needs because they are professional and courteous from the person that you talk to on the phone when you call their office, to the people that you deal with in the field. I never worry that something will be overlooked or missed. On a personal level I recently called them out because I was having some problems with mice at a property that we own. They were prompt, assessed the situation and had a solution. I hate to age myself... but dealing with so cal feels like dealing with companies in the "good ole days" when people truly cared about people and took pride in their work. Sean the owner really cares and it trickles down to all the team members. Melody O'Leary-Namikas read more

i am super impressed. Vino did the inspection.. and completed the work.. and is now going to come out to check the traps in the next couple of weeks or so.. and then the bait boxes will be checked for the next 6 months. i called a couple other pest control places.. and then i called So Cal Pest Control.. and from the start of my interaction with them.. with Amber on the phone.. and with Vino in person.. the experience was just.. well.. it literally could not have been better. it pays to not go with the first company you call.. EXCEPT IF THAT COMPANY IS SO CAL PEST CONTROL! the job Vino did is phenomenal. if you want a company that has employees who know how to listen.. know how to communicate.. know how to explain things.. know how to give you 100% of their attention in your interaction with them.. and know how to do what they say they are going to do.. then So Cal Pest Control is for you. i'm a christian, and i prayed that god would help me in finding the best company.. and he did! god bless you guys!! read more

I highly recommend this company. Matt was professional and kind and helped us get rid of a rat infestation. We were hearing rats running and scratching between the floors and inside the walls of our house. We had previously used another company that used poison and let the rats die inside the walls, resulting in two weeks worth of stench. Not So Cal Pest & Termite Control! Matt came over and did a thorough inspection, finding the hole the rats had made to enter our house. He took a photo with his cell phone to show me, since it was behind a crawl space. He removed the old wood panel, set traps, and replaced it with a sturdy panel the rats could not chew through. He returned every two to three days until he had trapped all the rats inside the house. I cannot praise Matt highly enough. He reassured me he would stay with us until all the rats were out of our house and he did. He fixed the faulty panel so the rats could not enter our house again. Our house is quiet at night and we did not have to tolerate the stench of dying rats that other companies have put us through. Don't waste your time or money with other companies. So Cal Pest has reasonable rates and superb service. read more

We are working with the folks from SoCal Pest control and it has been a great experience. When we called them to set up an appointment the office scheduling people were attentive and explained what came next. When the technician came out we went through everything on the property and his knowledge and experience... as well as his friendly nature were on display. He explained what needed to happen and why. He communicated that we would put together a proposal for the three types of problems were having. We received the proposal and agreed the work. Our main problem being rodents, but also a lesser problem with gophers and moles. Today the technician came to the house and being an old house executed a thorough process of 'sealing' up the places where rodents were arriving. He then put out two different types of tramps (non - toxic) and traditional kill traps. He also baited for the Gophers . This is good and we are happy thus far. Now we will be seeing the fruits of his labor.. no more mice and rats. read more

Matt came by to check out our rat issue inside our garage at our condo. He was extremely upfront in explaining that the issue would need to be checked out within all of the garages since they are all connected. He did a great job in helping us fix the areas within our space and went over and beyond in helping write up a letter that I could submit to my condo board for suggested exterminator to come back to do. Would highly recommend them! read more

So Cal Pest Control are very effective, professional and knowledgeable. I had a rat in the house for a few days despite buying 10 traps of various kinds. I called out So Cal Pest Control and they caught the rat within 24 hours! Subsequently we got a second rat in the yard a few days later. My nightmare felt better as soon as I spoke to the efficient lady in the office and Matt who came was very knowledgeable, efficient and helpful. I have two dogs and they made sure that their solutions were pet-friendly. I am just so glad to have caught the rats before any visible damage to my house or wiring - - that must be the very definition of success. read more

Throw a dart...Rat problem that was not solved with humane treatments, balsam wood, sprays. Called Socal and grateful I did. Free estimate to eradicate and plug holes. Matt 1 and Matt 2, both really nice and very professional. Knew what they were doing. Came by three times: set the traps and plugged entry points. Had about 6 critters trapped on the second visit. Reset traps. On third visit no more noises in the walls/attic, all set traps unsprung. Rats-be-gone! Took about ten days. I highly recommend Socal. I will call them again if I have new issues. I called for someone to come and give me a run down on what they can do as I have rats running in my ceiling. The lady who picked up the phone said that it's $75 just to come out and inspect and if I use them then it will go towards the cost. I asked her "$75 to come and tell me that I have rats?" She said yes, that's what many companies do. I am going to keep looking as there must be a company that will come and tell you based on the size of your home and situation, what their ongoing service will be and I will happily pay for someone who gains the business through their meeting with you and for the quality of their work; and not because I don't want to lose $75 without even knowing anything more. read more

So Cal Pest is the best! They are always anywhere they say they will be, quote prices appropriately and are wonderful to work with. The team is truly top notch. There are a lot of termite companies in the Ventura area, and none compares in my opinion. read more

They are very pleasant on the phone and in person. They arrived right on time and schedule. The problem was the service to rid our yard of gophers did not work. I have used this company 3 times for the same gopher problem and paid for each visit. On the last most recent visit, I called back 31 days after their service (as they were closed for a few days due to July 4th) when the gophers remained in the same holes that were 'treated'. Sadly I was told that I would have to pay for another 'treatment'. I did not feel that was fair and declined. It was explained to me that during the gopher breeding season they could not promise success. Ok, well perhaps say that before you charge me full fare for the third time. I am disappointed. read more

Called for service but was told since I rented I would have to have the landlord call. My landlord was not taking care of the issue- that's why I was calling. They had good reviews but I couldn't get them to come out to my house. So I called terminex and they came out right away. read more

Started to hear scratching noises coming from my attic. Called So Cal Pest Control based on referral from another pest control company who deals exclusively with insects. Matt and Matt (there are two of them) came out, diagnosed the problem, and quickly went to work. They set traps and closed off all potential entry points. Both Matts also helped me deal with a pesky mole/gopher problem that seemed to be getting out of control. After initial visit, they came out 3-4 times to check traps and update me on progress. Matt and Matt were a joy to work with throughout. They are honest, professional, and extremely knowledgable. Highly recommend! read more

So impressed. Very professional office. Free estimate, but not just an estimate. Matt did very through inspection for gophers. I had evidence of tunnels everywhere. He looked for telltale mounds but found none. Determined it was moles. He listened to what I said we had done for the gophers. He even looked at a major tree that had bugs I showed him. Great information, honest person. I highly recommend this company for any pest control type project. read more

My son complained that there was a hobo living in our attic. The noises were so loud above his bedroom when trying to study via zoom. My husband set a very large trap and to my horror the animal struggled. I called So. Cal Pest Control and begged for someone to come immediately. They had someone out and found the poor rat many joists away from where it was set. They closed numer entry points so quickly and set traps to insure there weren't any stragglers. I was so thankful. Very responsive, honest, and reasonable. They know their stuff. I would hire, no question !! read more

I would NEVER hire them again. After coming back a few times and I could still hear the rodent in my crawl space, they gave up. I had paid 1/2 and intended to pay the remaining when the job was complete. I could not get ahold of the technician anymore, but an unpleasant woman in the office demanded payment. When I said the problem still existed, she said the contract never said they would be effective. I paid but would NEVER hire them again. BTW, I had someone else doing handyman work on my house and HE blocked a probable spot of entry. The problem is fixed now with no help from the "professionals". read more

These people from the Ventura office (1363 Donlon) were totally unprofessional. They threw away the entire contents of my refrigerator, without having told me that there are special bags they could have given me for the food.
