I requested an assessment from So-Cal Pest Control because of questionable trails in my yard. Technician Sean arrived punctually and even texted that he was on the way which was appreciated. He pointed out that the problem is moles, not gophers, explained the signs of each pest and how to manage them which in the case of moles is to sweep up their trails. Basically, Sean provided education and reassurance that a major intervention was unnecessary. What a relief! i am super impressed. Vino did the inspection.. and completed the work.. and is now going to come out to check the traps in the next couple of weeks or so.. and then the bait boxes will be checked for the next 6 months. i called a couple other pest control places.. and then i called So Cal Pest Control.. and from the start of my interaction with them.. with Amber on the phone.. and with Vino in person.. the experience was just.. well.. it literally could not have been better. it pays to not go with the first company you call.. I highly recommend this company. Matt was professional and kind and helped us get rid of a rat infestation. We were hearing rats running and scratching between the floors and inside the walls of our house. We had previously used another company that used poison and let the rats die inside the walls, resulting in two weeks worth of stench. Not So Cal Pest & Termite Control! Matt came over and did a thorough inspection, finding the hole the rats had made to enter our house. He took a photo with his cell phone to show me, since it was behind a crawl space. He removed the old wood panel, set traps, and replaced it with a sturdy panel the rats could not chew through. He returned every two to three days until he had trapped all the rats inside the house. I cannot praise Matt highly enough. He reassured me he would stay with us until all the rats were out of our house and he did. He fixed the faulty panel so the rats could not enter our house again. Our house is quiet at night and we did not have to tolerate the stench of dying rats that other companies have put us through. Don't waste your time or money with other companies. We are working with the folks from SoCal Pest control and it has been a great experience. When we called them to set up an appointment the office scheduling people were attentive and explained what came next. When the technician came out we went through everything on the property and his knowledge and experience... as well as his friendly nature were on display. He explained what needed to happen and why. He communicated that we would put together a proposal for the three types of problems were having. We received the proposal and agreed the work. Our main problem being rodents, but also a lesser problem with gophers and moles. Today the technician came to the house and being an old house executed a thorough process of 'sealing' up the places where rodents were arriving. He then put out two different types of tramps (non - toxic) and traditional kill traps. He also baited for the Gophers . This is good and we are happy thus far. Now we will be seeing the fruits of his labor.. no more mice and rats. read more

Throw a dart...Rat problem that was not solved with humane treatments, balsam wood, sprays. Called Socal and grateful I did. Free estimate to eradicate and plug holes. Matt 1 and Matt 2, both really nice and very professional. Knew what they were doing. Came by three times: set the traps and plugged entry points. Had about 6 critters trapped on the second visit. Reset traps. On third visit no more noises in the walls/attic, all set traps unsprung. Rats-be-gone! Took about ten days. I highly recommend Socal. I will call them again if I have new issues. I called for someone to come and give me a run down on what they can do as I have rats running in my ceiling. The lady who picked up the phone said that it's $75 just to come out and inspect and if I use them then it will go towards the cost. I asked her "$75 to come and tell me that I have rats?" She said yes, that's what many companies do. I am going to keep looking as there must be a company that will come and tell you based on the size of your home and situation, what their ongoing service will be and I will happily pay for someone who gains the business through their meeting with you and for the quality of their work; and not because I don't want to lose $75 without even knowing anything more. read more

They are very pleasant on the phone and in person. They arrived right on time and schedule. The problem was the service to rid our yard of gophers did not work. I have used this company 3 times for the same gopher problem and paid for each visit. On the last most recent visit, I called back 31 days after their service (as they were closed for a few days due to July 4th) when the gophers remained in the same holes that were 'treated'. Sadly I was told that I would have to pay for another 'treatment'. I did not feel that was fair and declined. It was explained to me that during the gopher breeding season they could not promise success. Ok, well perhaps say that before you charge me full fare for the third time. I would NEVER hire them again. After coming back a few times and I could still hear the rodent in my crawl space, they gave up. I had paid 1/2 and intended to pay the remaining when the job was complete. I could not get ahold of the technician anymore, but an unpleasant woman in the office demanded payment. When I said the problem still existed, she said the contract never said they would be effective. I paid but would NEVER hire them again. Not cool, they switched the price at time of order. From 1150 to 1350. I went with Terminex. You can try and spin this, but most know what "Bait & Switch" means. If you would have said 1350 in the first place, I would have said, let's do it, but to switch the price at time of order is not cool. I'm glad I asked for a total price before hand, or I would have had a big surprise come payment time. (we've all seen this tactic). When measured, I was told "Under 1000 foot is 1150" my mobile home is well under 800 foot, nothing special just a 1+1 shoe box. You trying to down-play this by calling and messaging me, after you saw the first review, offering me a deal, will not change what your company tried to do. To some it's not the money, it's the principle. A "review" is just that, it tells people how you conduct your business and this is how you treated me. I'm not the only one that thinks you deserve a bad review. I'm sure you'll get more. Try this, say what you'll do, do what you say. Works every time. read more
