    - dog paradise!!! -…read more It's insane how long I've live here without ever really visited this park other than the two times that I was here for cirque du soleil lol. First of all, this park is HUGE! We walked around the center or the park and we passed by 3 playgrounds, one huge dog park and a garden. There was also a climbing area and they have ropes there for that too. It doesn't look too fun since it was burning hot. The dog park though .. OMG it's amazing! There are tons of little bushes for doggies to pee and jump around... Or play hide and seek. I love seeing all the doggies run around without a leash. I think it's just so wonderful and they all look super happy. Two huge doggies came to play with us and I got to pat them. They are super fluffy!!! I can't even tell the breed but they are huge with long fur! My daughter was in a carrier on me and she was a bit nervous when the doggies sniffied her feet, but overall she was fine with it. I also think this is also for dog owners to meet and mingle... Dog friends anyone? The garden is mostly for people to plant stuff, so it wasn't too interesting. There was also a performance area with a ticket booth, and several spots for picnic. Ps. Pay the $1 parking fee, or worry about the possible fine when you are spending time at the park.

If giganticness were a thing then this park would get full stars. However as the giganticness is in…read moremany cases quite empty then I've reduced the stars. Much of the giganticness is used for events, which I can't rate the park itself on; also at least from the sign when you enter, you have to pay to park here (everywhere? I don't know) which is a huge thumbs down from me. Pay at a park? No thank you. There's a cool/cute farm thingee on the right when you drive in with a structure that looks like a windmill without the rudder. There's an also cool totem pole near the entrance. After that it's....a lot of grass, walk and bike paths, great to take your dog I'd say - including an off leash section. There's a lot to offer and incentive to get to know the park better, which I aspire to do. In spite of the giganticness the (south?) entry off Lake Sammamish Pkway is fairly nondescript so just make sure you obey your gps lol.

Crossroads is a very large city park in the city of Bellevue. There is a dedicated fenced in area,…read morewhere dogs can roam and play with owners and other dogs. It makes good use of the open spaces, with the trees and fresh air making it a very different experience than other parts of the country (especially SoCal from where I'm from). My daughter and son-in-law got a new dog recently and have been trying to get her to acclimate to other people and other dogs. They haven't been to this city park, so we all decided to take a walk. While walking, it was clear that 'Patsy' wasn't yet ready to socialize with other dogs, so once we noticed there were dogs and owners inside the enclosure, they decided to abort the plan and instead keep exploring the park. I was able to take pictures, and noted that the break in the fence line caused by a downed tree from last month's big storm, was fixed. My biggest observation is how big the enclosed area is. It would be great for big dogs that require a lot of exercise, a large enough space to play frisbee catch off-leash and still be in compliance.

I'm so glad the City of Bellevue has established pop-up dog parks throughout the city in various…read moreneighborhoods, with Crossroads being one of them. And at Crossroads Pop Up Dog Park, it's fantastic, with ample space in an area that's accessible. I've taken my fur baby to the Crossroads Pop Up Dog Park a few times, and she always has a fun time here. This pop-up dog park is located at the Crossroads Park, right by the community center and golf course. The fenced dog park is huge, with a lot of space for the dogs to run around, especially compared to the other pop-up dog parks. Plus, it's wooded, with tons of tree canopy, so provides shade for those hot summer days when the dogs need to cool down. There were also a few benches inside the fenced area and poop bags are provided right by the two entrances. If you're looking for a place to take your dog where they can be off-leash, Crossroads Pop Up Dog Park is a good option. The location cannot be beat, with it being walking distance to the Crossroads Mall and other amenities, with parking nearby. Anytime I'm in the Crossroads neighborhood with my dog, I'll plan to take her here.

One of the perks of living in the neighborhood is the Beaver Lake Dog Park…read more It is fully fenced and has large-dog and small-dog separate areas. The large dog park is thickly covered in wood chips in the open areas, and the back 1/3 side is heavily shaded by trees and easily walkable for those hot full sun days and for good 'texture'. If you have one of those ball throw tools, you're not going to run out of distance with your best throw. The small dog side is slightly smaller and features a gravel/dirt and grass field. There are some passages into a small stand of trees/bushes. Doggie water fountains and pooper scooper bags available in each section. There are well established wooded trails to either side which lead to the lakefront section of the park: about a half mile round trip. The people are friendly and dog conflicts rare. (Personal hint: if you have a troublesome dog, put a muzzle on them before taking them out in public or to any park: the dog really won't mind. You can always remove it). On-site parking is good except for the rare little league tournaments, as the 3 ballfields and well-appointed playground share the park/parking. There's even street overflow parking. (I saw one review of a water-borne illness: that review is over 10 years old and there's no regular standing water in the dog park for years)

Einat, the owner, is very responsive and clearly cares about both her customers and her employees--and it shows in the quality of their service. Charlie typically had the same walkers at the same time each week. They were all professional, caring, attentive, and TRUE dog lovers! I loved Strut the Pup's daily walk reports and photos, which gave me peace of mind knowing he was being well taken care of while I was at work. On a few occasions when I was working from home, I watched as his regular walker arrived--Charlie would be waiting at the window and greeted them with full-body wags every time. When Charlie's hips started bothering him as he got older, the team helped me adjust his walks so he could continue enjoying his outdoor adventures. Sadly, Charlie has since passed, but I've saved many of the walk-report photos his walkers took (like this one), and they remain some of my favorite pictures of him. Thank you, Einat and team, for taking such wonderful care of Charlie.
