Stopped at Snuffy's on our first night in town based on a recommendation - we arrived late (about 8:20) but got in before the kitchen closed. Liked the vibe of the place - casual but not divey. I decided to order an entree - the Sirloin & Shrimp and my Girlfriend ordered.... something else;) Orders came relatively quickly and both dishes were superb. My steak was cooked as I like it & well-seasoned ...shrimp - great too! My GF was pleased with her meal as well! Great place, excellent food, and pleasant staff. We always try to eat at Snuffy's when visiting Warren area and Kinzua Country. We have tried many menu items and enjoyed them all, but our go-to food at Snufffy's is their grilled fish with a side of grilled vegetables. It is served with a house made light asian sauce ... always excellent. Their fish offerings vary by what is available ... occasionally Mahi Mahi or halibut ... reliably salmon, cod, and tuna. All are good choices. My favorite when available is the Mahi. They stock an impressive array of high quality bottled beers with a board that lists today's options... they also offer several draft beer options listed on a separate board. The wait staff seems happy and vibe is very nice. It's a small place and fills-up quick. On a Friday night, you might not get a table without a reservation. Highly recommended! read more

The best bar in Warren, which is a real exception in a town otherwise known for dive bars, to stop in for a decent drink as well as casual conversation. But better than that, it is one of the best restaurants in Warren, again an exception in a town with a reputation for cheap truck stop flavored foods. Snuffy's serves both lunch and dinner. They have the best burgers in Warren, especially their blue burger, though they have a wide ranging selection on their menu. Every night they have dinner specials as well as regular menu items. Warren is a hicky, backward Appalachian town that has little if anything going for it, particularly in terms of culinary arts. Hence, Snuffy's an outstanding gem. read more

If you like wings this is your place! Cooked to perfection, crispy and not greasy or drowning in sauce. I had the beet salad and it was absolutely fantastic. It's not fancy but the walls are covered in Marilyn Monroe, Hepburn, and Bogart. There are a few craft beers on tap and full bar selection. While waiting for the guy at Lowe's to put in my order for two custom storm doors, I asked the three people behind the counter to suggest an interesting local place to eat. A few options were bantered about . . . some I had already tried and some were out of town . . . I ended up taking the suggestion for Snuffy's because the woman swore that the wings were really, really good. I really, really like really, really good wings so it was a hand's down winner. Thank goodness the downtown is small because we didn't have any exact address to use to find the place. We parked right outside and it looked more like a bar than a restaurant. We were the second table in the place on a Saturday night. I thought the place would be hugely packed, but not so much. Maybe it attracts a later crowd. My favorite of the things we ordered was the sweet potato fries. I'd go there just for the fries. They are thin, crispy and served with a side of honey. Amazing. They were just as much a dessert and side dish as they were an appetizer. I think they were about $4 for a pretty decent size serving. I will absolutely order them again. Between the 4 of us there wasn't a single crumb left in the basket. I ordered the wings (of course) and I opted for the Buffalo Parmaesan. 10 for about $6. They were crispy, hot, and tasty. Served with a few pieces of celery and a pretty decent blue cheese dressing. I love Buffalo style sauce and Parmaesan cheese so I was a pretty happy camper. The next time (and there will be a next time) I want to try their hot wings. Hubby ordered the steak salad at about $9. It was Pittsburgh style, with french fries on top. He said that the steak was tasty and well cooked. He also liked the blue cheese dressing because it was filled with huge chunks fo blue cheese. The kids each had a bowl of Italian wedding soup. It was very good. I also liked that the whiskey and cokes we drank were well mixed (although there was a large amount of ice). They were also also pretty decently priced, under $4 if I remember correctly. Ambiance is more upscale than a typical bar atmosphere. Two TVs played college football. There are photos of old time celebrities. It's more of a pub feel than a bar feel. However, I bet the place can be pretty fun later at night if you're there with a bunch of friends. We were the only people crazy enough to be out with kids in tow. The other parties were couples on dates, women on a girl's night out, old friends meeting for dinner, and couples meeting couples for dinner out. A nice mix of clientelle. I hope that when I give a place 4 stars vs 5, that they don't think I'm discrediting them. I honestly believe that 1-5 stars is not a good scale. 1-10 with 1/2 star option would be better and I would give this place 7.5. Why? Because I came very late in the evening, sat a the bar, ordered a burger and a bourbon. The service was mindful, the burger tasted good and my drink tasted the same as the bottle at home. I liked the atmosphere of the place because it was old school. There wasn't anything modern about it to take away its history. Snuffy's is an outstanding place to eat dinner in Warren. They always have wonderful specials. Tonight they had New Zealand lamb chops and my friend said they were delicious. I could tell they were cooked perfectly (medium rare). I had the Greek Salad and it was awesome with lots of delicious ingredients including chick peas. The steaks and burgers are always good here. When you see Snuffy's from the outside, hear the name and even walk inside, you may not think this is more than just a bar with bar food. Take my word for it and order dinner. Not a very welcoming place unless you are a buddy of the female bartenders. Been the there a couple of times in the evening and their kitchen is always closed (8-9PM). If you sit at a table you get ignored by the bartender who's too busy wasting time doing meaningless tasks and chatting up her faves at the bar. Thus, you need to go to the bar to order your drink. The bartenders are unprofessional, unattentive, and have no real personality. Decor looks worn and food is so so which leads me to think the owner doesn't give a damn. As a new person in town and one who's no stranger to bars, this place kinda sucks. You're better off going to other bars nearby. I suspect many of the positive reviews here are from the bartender's favorites and not a true representation of how dreary this place is. Just being honest here. read more

I previously mentioned that we loved Snuffy's before we reproduced and I can't stress how much more I love it as a place that I can easily take my kid AND have a great experience in Warren. During our latest visit we got home tired and hungry after driving from Pgh. I was really craving wings but sadly my favorite wing place isn't smoke free so I can't take the kid. So to Snuffy's we went and I ordered something I don't typically get. And it was excellent. I chose the Sweet & Spicy. The wings were perfectly crispy and covered. 10 come in a serving. My partners ordered the Medium which were a hit. I ate quite a few of them as well. My only disappointment in Snuffy's is that for as long as I've been a patron, I was a regular wing eater! ------ 2015 We frequented Snuffys years ago. They have been one of the few places in the area with a craft beer selection and nonsmoking bar. It's been two years since our last visit and we now have a one year old. We found ourselves in town late and searching for a family friendly location for dinner. We called Snuffy's and they said they had a table in the dining area and a high chair, so we decided to try them as a family dining location. Snuffy's staff is accommodating, friendly, and an overall delight. The dining room area is cozy but with enough space between tables that we were comfortable knowing my son wasn't disturbing anyone's personal space. Snuffy's dining area is perfect for a family meal. Their patrons appeared to be mostly families with older children and couples. Their dinner prices are ridiculously inexpensive for the quality of the meal. The food sizes aren't massive but they're tasty and filling. (And for a $6 chicken sandwich, one can always splurge on an appetizer.) For the three of us, including food and 3 drinks, our bill came to $30. $30! I almost couldn't believe it. We will be returning as soon as we are back in town. read more

I like Snuffy's but the bar area is too small. It gets so crowded that it's hard to place your order. If you go during the week and can catch a seat at the bar, you will enjoy yourself. Currently, one of their two tvs is broken so don't count on going here to catch the game. read more

I'm a very honest and open individual. I have no agenda here and I'm not from Warren. My experience is simply that, my experience. I personally would never go back to snuffy's and that because of MY experience. I walked in extremely hungry. Seriously, I would have eaten anything. Literally, Anything!! Sadly, I sat there for nearly an hour with ZERO interaction with any wait staff aside from the initial "how many?" & "anything to drink?" I'm not sure why it took so long. I like to always give the benefit of doubt but I can't pin point an objective on this one. I Saw many others come In, sat down and were serviced before me. I will leave it as that. Walking into this place is like stepping into a time warp that takes you back to 1972. As I understand it -little has changed to the decor since they did. I went here with the suggestion of having wings. This is a wing town after all. I was lucky and got to split my order between garlic butter and hot. I also got fries...and I gotta say the wings were just okay. They were on the small side and soggy (I asked for them well done, rubbery skin freaks me out). The fries on the other hand were hot, crispy and delicious. I'd go back just to have fries and a beer. The server/bartender was a total doll. Probably the best all-around bar in Warren. Atmosphere is usually comfortable and welcoming (skip the band nights if you're claustrophobic - it's too small for music most nights). Food is great - prices are right, and there's plenty of parking with the Blair employee lots going unused at night. I'd give it five stars if the kitchen stayed open later and every night... But it's what every bar & restaurant does in Warren, so I can't fault Snuffy's for going with the flow. read more

My mom and I were in town for the weekend for a geocaching event. We headed to downtown Warren to see what we could find. This little town was hopping on a friday night. Snuffy's looked interesting so we gave it a try. It was cozy and slightly retro, it gives off a really good vibe. Because it was late, We just had app's, but they were good and served hot. Fare is pretty standard bar food and sandwiches, but there were also some dinner specials and big salads on the menu. Other folks' food looked good. Not the best bar in warren by any means! It is a town full of dive bars that actually make for an interesting night out.... If you want quite and odd than snuffys is the one it is full of people who think they are something, in a town where owning a running pick up truck makes you high class! I have gone many of times and owner is pretty cool and can be funny food is good, but if you want fun than make it a only one of your stops for the night! Good food. The place is a little dated and could use a little rehab. Waitresses could be a bit more attentive to non-regulars. One of them made a mistake totaling our check. When I questioned the difference in the check presented to me and the amount charged on my credit card, I expected the offer to charge me in what was presented. The Good: The butter and garlic wings were really good, not greasy, tons of flavor. The Bad: Sat down and waited about 20 minutes before someone brought menus over. Another 15 for water. Ordered the Delmonico Steak. It was definitely not a Delmonico cut, but more of a thin round flank. Ordered medium rare, got well done, waitress said "Sorry, but that's how it's cooked," I wonder why ask what temperature you want the steak? The menu looked enticing, and decided to walk in off the street for dinner. Sorry, but won't be coming back, over priced wrong cut of meat, which was definitely frozen for awhile, could tell by the weird texture throughout, like freezer burn. read more
