The entire process took about 3 hours. She first straightened my hair, brushed out all the knots, then trimmed my hair a couple of inches. When she painted my hair, I could tell that she has a lot of experience. Everything felt very natural. The coloring process takes about 15min. We washed the dye and then she dyed my hair overall to turn it into a natural look I wanted. In the end, I appreciated that she asked me how I felt about the hair and she cut more layers to achieve the perfect look! I would definitely recommend her. I also saw pictures of her resin geode paintings and they looked so amazing! They are definitely one of a kind, and she is so talented in the art and beauty business. I reached out to Dena before vacation to give me a new look - I had grown out, brown roots and the rest of my hair had been hennaed red so I still had lots of warmth that I needed to match. She matched up my roots to my current color and darkened it all a bit and then she ombré' my ends to this amazing vibrant crimson color! The receptionist was incredibly nice and crazy enough (this never happens!) they had an appointment that same day with Tonya! My natural hair color is quite dark, but I have gone blonde for years because I have a lot of gray growing in and it just seems to grow out and blend better, I also have enough hair for probably three people on my head, and so requires a lot of foils and a lot of patience for a full highlight. Tonya had a great consult, ultimately I said "I trust you, and I'm easy" when it came to her process and what toner and products she was going to use. I could not be happier! Number one she is incredibly fast and her attention to detail is brilliant. Number two she is fun to talk to, she's a normal person, no ego, and we had a great time connecting. And number three she obviously knows what she's doing with color/blondes and has a ton of experience. I already rebooked with her. She did a great job. I am 100% happy with the outcome! Pricing is a lot, not gonna lie about that, it was high $300's; anyone with blonde color preferences knows you get what you pay for though. The salon itself was loud, bustling, had a good vibe, I enjoyed my time in the chair =)

My family is new to this salon and I have to say we were excited to have a salon that offered…read moremultiple services that we enjoy. This isn't my first time having my hair done by Sherry as we have followed her as she has jumped around between several salons over the last few years, but it will be the last for me, my mother and my daughter, husband and any others I would have mentioned this salon to. Please see attached image of the result from my visit this week. Absolutely nothing close to what I've wanted or ever had done. Pretty frustrating as we all know how it feels to have something go wrong with our hair as it is such a big part of our looks. But I also know that accidents and mistakes happen. But let me also include the fact that mid appointment I was told my price had increased by 30% since the last time. Not at the time of booking. Not before the first snip of scissors. Half way through the appointment so I was trapped into paying the higher price which I had not prepared for. 30% is a huge increase to drop on someone. After this visit, and once I got home and was able to truly see my hair, I reached out to have my hair fixed as it seems fair that given the $140 charge, we could work something out as I was truly disappointed with my hair. I was able to go in the following day, even thought Sherry was not happy with me. Upon arriving, it was very clear I was there just to have a simple and quick fix by applying a simple gloss over the tops of my blonde streaks, in which it will still fade into an uneven color which I will then have to be spending more money to fix again sooner than I should have to. After leaving and assuming that we are both adults, and what I thought was a good client and friend, we could just let this be and move forward with no hard feelings (all of which should have been on my end anyway), 2 days pass and I get a text that I am being dropped as a client. That I am no longer going to be able to have my haircut by the lady who has worked on my family for years and that I followed and supported from salon to salon. I can say with confidence that this was the last visit by me or any of my family as I won't support a salon that stands behind this kind of treatment towards their paying clients. As a business owner myself, clients always come first as they pay me for a service and have expectations of fair business and communication. I feel like not only did I not come first and communication was non existent, I was also treated as I did something wrong by wanting my color fixed. There are a lot of hard working people and business's out there these days that appreciate and are grateful for work, and especially dedicated clientele. Unfortunately for this salon it won't be with anyone working there moving forward. There is simply no room for overpriced, subpar services and attitudes these days.

Unacceptable, lazy service from the salon manager. I came…read moreinto the Midvale location for a shape on my shorter hair and the manager herself cut it. She cut it a few years back so I was happy to get her as a walk in and trusted her to do a thorough job. According to the official FS service menu every haircut includes an FS shampoo therapy wash and tousle dry. This manager did NEITHER and cut my hair bone dry. She worked on one angle going around my head and point cut less than a quarter inch there. She never pulled up and out the top section or the bang area to see if everything was connected nor did she cut those areas. There were a couple of snips made to the back area and a couple to the length. By skipping the top of my head, the back, the mandatory shampoo and tousle dry, I left with an incomplete service and imbalanced hair. I submitted a formal complaint thru the online portal over a week ago and have been met with complete radio silence. Buyer beware- avoid this location and manager.
