My hairdresser left me for another state. I procrastinated the hunt for a new one until my head had become an overgrown mop and I couldn't bear the thought of another ponytail. I landed on Kari via Yelp and I just liked the cut of her jib so to speak and booked an appointment. I'm so glad I did! She's very personable, efficient and has some mad cutting skills. I got the fantastic, messy bob I asked for. Also, and this is no small thing, she uses Kevin Murphy products. Pureology, Aveda and a lot of other green lines seem to hate my hair but Murphy's line consistently produces wonderful results, smells amazing (A-Freaking-Mazing!!!), and most importantly, is cruelty free. He managed to get the bunny stamp, which is much harder than simply stating "this product was not tested on animals." I have to back and stock up. I don't think I can wait until my next appointment. This was my first time going to a specific hairstylist (I've always just gone to Fantastic Sams) and not going to lie I was very nervous going in especially for what I was wanting to do with my hair. But Kari was amazing!! She took the time to explain everything to me and talk me through the process, in the end she took my hair from red to black w/a really neat ashy copper colored ombre on the ends. I also ended up getting a cut during my appointment which turned out to be probably the best cut I've ever had and I didn't really have to give Kari much direction, it's like she knew what I wanted before I even knew it! Kari is amazing, my mom has short hair and is the most picky person to get a haircut. She loved Kari and how she cut her hair. We showed her 5 different picas of haircuts and she added all that we asked from each one. Her salon is nice, relaxing, clean, welcoming.
