Kelly is great! She does such a great job at listening to wants and needs, but also has suggestions and ideas to make it work. She understands current styles and different types and textures of hair. She can explain why something might work better than something else for my course, dark hair. If you want a stylist that will actually listen and take your input seriously, ask for Kelli. I absolutely love this place!. I'm a total glam girl so I can assure you I've been to my fair share of salons and even with Sheer Indulgence being a good 30 minutes from my home it will remain my regular. I haven't experienced many of the stylists there but Ashley Rosky takes the cake!. I've been seeing her for a good year now for coloring, cuts and extensions and she has far exceeded my expectations in all aspects. Salon itself is very upscale, clean. Kallie spent an amazing 4.5 hours on my hair this week. I was so nervous about changing my hair from almost black ( with gray roots ), to a light brown / dark blonde color. Working my way to a nice platnum color with some low lights running through it. I think Kallie is the perfect stylist to get me to my end result. Brooke Delight does amazing massages at Sheer Indulgence. I highly recommend you see her for your aches and pains or just to treat yourself. I recently had a knee replaced and my leg was aching 24/7. I am super duper frustrated with how I could went today. I went in asking for a haircut and I got a haircut and style. I'm not happy with the fact that she styled it throughout the whole haircut so she's finished off DRY. If she's going to do that that's her issue I did not ask for that is not want that I am not wanting to charge for that I'm interested in a cut 20 bucks, something that's reasonably priced. I'm not wanting an expensive cut with a pretty little style halfway through the cut. She asked me can we do it a little shorter in the front so we can do straight across and I told her you can do it shorter to cut a little shorter and by the time we were done after that I had an A-line. I hate a lines. I emphasized it she did not listen or hear. I'm thinking she didn't know what to do or how to really make it look good. You need to communicate with me in the first place and know that I do not like a line. She smoothed it over by saying one it grows we can cut it shorter next time. There will be no next time. The clue of her using thinning sheers instead of a razor should have sent red flags. I love razoring and hate thinning sheers. I did what I could to communicate well but her skill level and communication weren't there. Maybe I will have to call up some it works reps for hair skin and nails. Greer. Will I go back? Maybe. I have been here twice with horrible experiences both times!!! I don't remember the first girl's name, as it was so long ago, however, recently I went back for a highlight and trim and they gave me a girl named Sam. The girl did foils on me and didn't get anywhere near the scalp so it already looks grown out. I then asked her to trim my layers and she said " well you don't have any layers anymore because I took 3/4 inch off your length. I had to point out the layers and she still couldn't find them. I also told her to just take the ends off not 3/4 of an inch! Had I noticed the awful job she did when I was there I would have made her redo it, but I left with a wet head and couldn't really tell how awful it was. I'm sure she was relieved when I was pressed for time and told her not to dry it!!!! Then I asked her about her perm experience, as I have been wanting a perm for a year. She said "oh I havent done one for a very long time but I will do yours". I set an appointment and when I got home and saw the horrible job she did I immediately called and cancelled. If you go here, avoid Sam at all costs! She's the only one without appointments so that should have been my first clue! Apparently she only works there twice a week and the other days she works at a salon for children. Thats where she should stay!!! I would like to know why this business keeps her around???? read more
