She ran the entire time we were in the store (nearly 30 minutes.) I was asking her who I could speak to about her being left alone when the owner came in. She clearly was just popping by as she left her son in the car to wait. And while she helped the teenager who was frantically handling every drive thru and walk in customer I shared with her that the poor girl shouldn't be working alone. She assured me they're never busy like this. So...perhaps it's a newer location and people have finally found it?? I hope they don't continue to leave one employee alone in the store. Even just for safety reasons let alone the clearly high demand. Even if this only happens once in a while. It's a Monday at 1:30 and it was busy!! She said, we are closing, haven't had anyone for a few hours, so closed early, sorry! As two people are eating their snow cones in the parking lot. If you close at 9, you serve customers until 9 and sometimes a little after. If I was the owner she's be gone in a second. We where going to order 4 larger which is like $25 of revenue, but now she can go home 5 min earlier. I mean how much mess is it to shave ice and pour 4 flavors. You order from outside and there are tables with umbrellas to seating. There was no one there when we arrived. We stood waiting for several minutes, though we saw staff inside. Finally, a young guy came to the window and took our order. After that, we received our ice cream quickly. As other reviewers have noted, the regular scoop is very big; my wife got a mini scoop and it was plenty. I should have ordered that as well, but I went for the regular scoop. Really, too much ice cream for me. I chose the Huckleberry Heaven and my wife got Pistachio. Both flavors, very good. Though it was very warm outside, not to mention poor air quality due to the fires, it was comfortable at the tables, with a slight breeze. Still, we didn't linger outside for too long.
