Olive enjoyed the live music too!

This is a MUST STOP. We were exploring towns in the area and stumbled across this brewery and we are SO GLAD. The beer and atmosphere is great. The owner Terry made us feel right at home and gave us the history of the town and snowbird's start. My favorite beers were lockdown 2020 and riptide. They have a range of brews for everyone's taste. Also, the live music was INCREDIBLE. We were very impressed with the whole experience! Can't wait to visit in the warmer months and enjoy the patio too.

Good beer and good company. The owner, Terry, and all of the other staff were very welcoming from the time we walked in the door. The beer selection was great, and the staff was very helpful by offering multiple samples without us even having to ask. Highly recommend this place!

The bar was very open and decorated well. The owner was super friendly and took time to speak to everyone in the place! You could definitely tell he loves what he does. The beers were excellent. We particularly enjoyed looking through the owner's collection of brewery stickers for places nearby our home!

Awesome brewery with great Snowbird Mountain views!!A must stop when in Andrews/Murphy area. Enjoyed our cold pints after hikes very much , and owner Terry is a nicest person we met!! Live music was excellent on a Saturday night also!! Cheers:)

Great comfortable space. I had the Riptide and it was delicious, a well balanced IPA. Will definitely be back.

The brewery has a great rooftop atmosphere that's perfect for relaxing with a drink while taking in downtown Bryson City. They also host live music, although we weren't able to stay long enough to catch the performance. The highlight of our visit was definitely the bartender. I wish I remembered their name because they were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They took the time to recommend drinks, suggest places around Bryson City to explore, and even gave us recommendations for campgrounds where we could stay that night. Those kinds of interactions are what make traveling so memorable. We had originally planned to grab food from the restaurant downstairs, but that didn't work out during our visit. Thankfully, the brewery itself more than made up for it with its relaxed atmosphere and outstanding hospitality. If you're looking for a laid-back rooftop spot to enjoy a local beer, listen to live music, or chat with friendly locals while exploring Bryson City, Mountain Layers Brewing Company is definitely worth a stop. We'd happily grab another drink here the next time we're in town.

Yummy peach slushie on the rooftop! Food truck food was too heavy for me but was convenient.read more

The interior is more interesting with iron mug's hanging from the ceiling. I thought the Amber Ale was good the hazy IPA was not hoppy enough for me. Likewise the Mexican Lager needed to be a bit more hoppy as well, the best beer I tried was a dark German Ale. The food is brought for free from Amici, but you have to order it yourself, so a bit of a hassle. The pizza we ordered was straight out of an oven and hot. We ordered the Smoked Chicken and Spinach Pizza a 4 on a scale of 5. Rating breweries is subjective Abridged Beer and. Xul brewery to me are a level 5, this brewery is a step below those breweries. Swara has a loyal following and the interior was about full when we left about 6 PM on a Saturday.

And--- they had menus and direct service to Amici Italian restaurant (for those of you who don't know, Amici is a REALLY good restaurant just down the street from this place). So, I was nearly tempted to order from Amici but I was there mainly to do some work and have a drink, maybe a snack. BUT: next time I'll try to go back with eating in mind! A pizza or other fare from Amici coupled with the fine beers offered would be great. (I like DARK beers, they had two quite nice ones this night. I'm also curious to try their seltzers. So again, 4-stars is being picky...but hey, 4 stars still mean it's a great place.
