I had braces several years ago and the orthodontist I went to retired. So when my retainers stopped fitting and I needed to find someone new I was referred to snow orthodontics. Yesterday I went in and was so pleased with the service they provided me. I had expected to need to get impressions, new retainers the whole deal. I was expecting to have to spend hundreds of dollars. Rather, they were able to fix my retainers. Make some tweaks and good as new. They were so kind and the whole staff was very pleasant. When I went to pay, they didn't change me anything. Even though I told them they weren't the ones who originally made my retainers nor have I ever spent a penny with them. They insisted and said it was no problem. I love a Dr. who puts service over profit and because of that I will now refer everyone to Snow Orthodontics. read more

This review is long overdue but I went through Invisalign treatment here. When it was completed, my teeth were straighter, but my bite felt off and my teeth were still protruding, which is something I mentioned that bothered me before. I have brought up concerns that my bite didn't feel even and only one side of my teeth were touching when I bite down. All they really did was look at my smile and doubted it, but did nothing else to really look further into it. My treatment took a little bit longer than expected, and I felt like I was being rushed to complete it. Later on, I experienced major tooth pain from the side where my upper and bottom teeth touch. Fast forward to now, I went to a new orthodontist office and they showed me a digital replica of my teeth. They confirmed that I was only able to bite down on one side and my new bite was causing tooth pain. I also still had an over jet and alignment issues. so on top of the thousands I paid at Snow in 2020, now I have to pay $6000 at another place just to get my teeth away that I wanted. The two stars is just for the kind receptionists but I felt like I wasted so much time and money here. read more

The staff is friendly and the facilities and equipment are top notch. I'm dissatisfied with my Invisalign treatment however, and wouldn't recommend them in good conscience. I sought treatment for some slightly crooked teeth (my lower incisors), after almost 2 years of treatment, my incisors collided painfully after wearing retainers and my molars could only touch in the middle of my mouth. I complained of this during the end of my treatment and was told that is normal, wear my retainers more and see how it goes. 6k for treatment. Waste of time and money. read more

I've used Snow for three separate sets of retainers, and in 2024 got ones that don't fit properly. In going back and forth trying to get them to fit properly I was expected to pay an $80 visit fee to talk with someone and hopefully get them adjusted. I had to argue to get the fee waived (and believe me I am not comfortable arguing.). Long story short I have retainers that don't fit right and to waive the fee made me sign something saying they did and no further adjustments will be made. read more

They will make an ortho appointment for you in office then change your appointment without telling you, so when you show up to the scheduled appointment they tell you that you are not on the schedule for that day and that your appointment is weeks or months away. We drive over an hour and a half to get his care from the Valencia location because it is what is closest to us now and we only had 1-2 visits left; so it didn't make sense to start over somewhere else closer to Santa Barbara, but I honestly wish we had. Save yourself the money and headache and go somewhere else. It looks shiny and nice/new on the outside, but once you're in, it's a nightmare. Only go here if you truly have no other option and insist that you get all appointment reminders emailed to you so you can prove the date and time in court to establish a pattern of them cancelling and pushing care out for months at a time making the process take years longer than it should and they charge you for the increase in visits that you need because of the inconsistent care. read more

I used to come here a long time ago when they were located on Balboa, it was a different practice back then, now the feel of this office is more like a factory/mill. I wish I did more research on this location in Encino before I picked them. Initially the Dentist was great, I only had an issue with one assistant but you can tell she was new so I gave grace when my son would see her on his appointment. The Dentist went of Pregnancy Leave, and that's when I experienced issues. In my contract we agreed on upper and lower braces, after the 28 months they never put on the lower braces and then decided a phase 2 was needed (which ones something completely different if his tooth didn't move down on its own) it's did! However once the new Dentist came in they didn't stick with the plan tried to charge me an additional $4000+ I told them remove his top braces we would not be continuing, they tried to have me sign a waiver so please read ! Basically it's states you're completely satisfied. However they did not hold up there part of the contract. They only provided upper braces. I would suggest try another company or their Valencia location. My sister used that location and had a great experience and that was the reason I went ahead with this location, it was a tad closer for me. I would suggest not working with them. I did my Invisalign treatment with Snow Orthodontics years ago, but I desperately needed a new retainer/aligner-- it was my first time in this new office. I went in about three weeks ago and I've been in bed with Covid ever since-- or technically since 48 hours later when my symptoms started. Yes, I am 100% positive I got Covid in this office. Why am I sure? Because I have been under the same lockdown procedures since Mar 2020 because I am immunocompromised. And because I literally went nowhere else --not even a supermarket or gas station, nor did I see another human in fact, in the time where I could have been infected. But in spite of all the hard work and isolation to stay safe and healthy, I got sick in a Medical Office. How ironic. I realize this office is in Encino and the care about Covid may be low, but this is a medical office and there are rules-- the first thing I noticed when I walked in was that out of the two receptionists, one was not wearing a mask. I also noticed five people in the waiting room without masks. There were plenty of signs up all over the reception area asking people to be masked, but let's be real--if your receptionist -- the first person you see, is not masked or asking people to mask up, why would the people in the waiting room? I spent about 10 minutes in that waiting area with all these maskless people and then I was brought to the back. Granted, you might say- well, Bonnie- why would that matter? You were masked and then you only took your mask off in the treatment room, right? Correct- now go look at the photos- this office is a big open room where the waiting room has no full separating walls from the reception area...super awesome during a pandemic. Stupid me thought about leaving and not keeping my appointment, but guys, you have to understand-- my braces cost like $5500 and a new retainer cost $550... this is over $6,000 put into my mouth-- I was so desperate to keep my teeth from moving! Unfortunately, I was unable to keep my appointment the next week to pick up my retainer. The office was nice enough to mail my aligners, which is helpful because it's been nearly three weeks and I'm still super sick. Given that I've lost more than $1500 from missing the ability to work while being sick from Covid, saving money on my teeth is even more important when you think about it. Please be careful of this office, especially if you are immunocompromised-- understand it is not a safe place and there are no Covid precautions being taken. My mom was super pissed and called to complain on my behalf and ask for the aligners to be mailed-- apparently they were not very nice to her and SWORE no receptionist had ever not worn a mask. While I can't prove it, I'm going to go ahead and bet I wasn't magically there the one day people didn't wear masks. The lying is not a good look, guys-- at least admit you don't give a shit. I hope everyone is wearing a mask in this office now as the numbers are quite high, and again, I'm not asking for weird accomodations-- there are actual rules for medical offices- it's not that complicated. This isn't a retail store, the changing of regulations has never applied to you guys-- there should not have been a single maskless person in this office in the last 2.5 years and there should be major other precautions taken. This place lacks kindness and patient care. I am so sad that my previous dentist had to sell to this company. I wish one would be allowed to give zero stars. I am a dentist. My daughter's Orthodontist sold his practice to Snow. My daughter just needed to finish up her invisalign treatment, so I thought this should be easy enough and did not bother with trying to find a new orthodontist. This place looks very high tech, everyone is wearing black and I guess it's all build to impress people, but in reality it's filled with incompetence. My daughter's attachments kept falling off the day after they were placed. When I brought her into my office for a teeth cleaning, the attachments were digging into her gums making them inflamed and bleeding. I spent thirty minutes polishing and trimming them. I took photos and documented everything. I pity the parents who are not in the dental field and don't know what's going on in their child's mouth. So I decided enough is enough and decided to transfer to another orthodontist that I know. One would think that that's the end of the story, but you would be mistaken. They make it impossible to transfer. I first called a month ago and I asked for her Invisalign file to be transferred. They took a message and said someone will get back to me. No one did. In fact I made about 5 calls over the last month, and each time was told that a person who deals with this will get back to me and no one ever did each and every time. Finally I was told that Dr. Snow himself had to come in and sign off on the transfer. I waited another week for it to happen. Eventually I received an email that the transfer is in process, and all I had to do was click on the link, enter my child's name and account number in order to initiate the transfer. I did as requested, and it told me that the transfer cannot be initiated, because either some or all the info I entered is incorrect. I called the office again, and confirmed that they had the correct spelling and account number. Everything checked out, but it was not going through. To which their receptionist replied that's it's out of their hands and there is nothing they can do. I stated that they are leaving me in limbo since they are telling me that there is nothing they can do, and at the same time the new Orthodontist doesn't not have the file either. To which of course the reply was that they will have a supervisor call me. That was 2 days ago. Guess what, that call never happened and it never will. Parents, please take advice from a dental professional and a parent, if you value your child's dental health, find another orthodontist. read more

I called to request our records. First time I called, I was put on hold for about 20 minutes only to be told that the person who could help me would have to call me back. Three hours later, I didn't get any call. So the second time I called, I explained all that to the person who answered. This time I was told that, if I wanted our records to be sent to my personal email, there would be a $190 fee; but it would be free to have those identical records emailed to another doctor. In addition, I was told that our prior doctor's records (he sold his practice to them sometime in June) still haven't be ingested into their systems so I would have to wait until that happened before I could collect our records. This is how they view customer service: an afterthought and opportunity for more fees. I would give them zero stars if Yelp allowed it. read more

My daughter was a former patient of Dr. Sack who was a premier Orthodontist in Los Angeles, and unfortunately retired and sold his practice to Snow Orthodontics. I would have NEVER taken her to there for orthodontic treatment otherwise! This is a clinic! Not a private practice. We have tried to work with them for over a year and the treatment process, and results have been less than desirable. We should have transferred her out of there sooner, but out of respect for the doctor who was treating her we waited. However, having to deal with the front office staff and getting timely appointments just made it impossible to bare. Orthodontics requires timely attention to detail, and Snow Ortho is more about volume orthodontics. I used to like going here. I started with Invisalign but didn't do much for bite so switched over to regular braces. Which is annoying because I asked the doctor before starting Invisalign if it would work. He was so confident that it was. Well it didn't. Now 4yrs still dealing with my bite. Hopefully this is the last year I have to go with them. They always seem to be changing up the staff now. I used to like the old crew (Regina, Dolores, Roseanne) they all left. All the new people are not as friendly, they don't even know you or try to know you which is fine. They lack customer service. They also switched doctors, I don't mind the new female doctor, she seems nice and knowledgeable. The male doctor before her was just okay. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place. We heard an advertisement of $1000 matched deposit. We went to snow orthodontics presented our insurance and were given a price of $4860. In general it's $5000 or less for Invisalign. At the various places that we've checked. When I asked for the thousand dollar matched deposit I was told if we can't do that our normal price is $6100 and then we knock off $1000 off of that. So basically I'm told that they escalate the price by 1100 bucks And knock off 1000. This is like a bait and switch. No one charges $6100 for Invisalign everyone's five grand or less. So far my experience with Snow Orthodontics has been amazing! Dr. A has done a wonderful job correcting my bite with Invisalign. I went to three other orthodontic practices prior to this one and they all told me it could not be done with Invisalign and that I would have to get braces. I'm 42 years old and could not picture myself sitting in meeting with clients and having braces on! His staff is very knowledgeable and always so happy to see you. So far I have been taken care of by Bryan, Maria, Regina, Erika and Shawntee and they have all been great. When it comes to something as important as your teeth you can't just leave it in the hands of a Groupon or Living Social you have to go to the right guy and this is the right guy! read more
