On our way home from Badger, CA, it was one last drive through Sequoia/Kings Canyon before saying…read moregoodbye to the Sierras for my friend from France. Everyday we hiked, we talked about a dessert we had earned, then we'd laugh because there wasn't any around to be easily had. But I knew.... Leaving the park and heading into Three Rivers, there stood an adorable red and white "chalet" of delights where we could have some ice cream next to the dancing waters of the Kaweah River. We entered the ice cream shop, the furthest to the right when viewed from Hwy 198(Sierra Dr.), and were immediately hit with the aroma of their freshly made waffle cones and bowls. After reviewing their in-house made ice cream flavors, my friend opted for Blueberry Pomegranate Gelato and Three Rivers Wild Blackberry in a waffle bowl and I chose the Wild Blackberry and Raspberry Cheesecake for my waffle bowl. We made our way through the gift shop, the furthest building to the left, and out to sit on the covered deck, where 2 red Adirondack chairs waited for us. For me, enjoying an ice cream treat whilst sitting on the back deck overlooking the river is a part of visiting Sequoia. Reimer's opened this flagship location in 1956 and it's a special place where hand made confections, created with the finest ingredients and proudly displayed, are offered alongside delicious ice cream, sherbet and gelato, with seasonal flavors highlighting local fruits, like our wild blackberry this day. The gift shop carries some local items featuring Sierra motifs, in case you need one last souvenir from your trip. Sparkling ornaments and decorations are available all year and add to the happy and festive nature of this classic gem of a roadside stop. The ice cream hit the spot, but the waffle bowl is a true standout. I don't know the secret recipe, but notes of vanilla hit my nose and hints of cinnamon danced on my tongue. SO good! Until next time, Reimer's.... Cheers! "CC"

Bravo Farms is that location you must check out on a trip through Central CA. They have a little something for everyone. The outdoor area has these cute areas for kids and adults alike. They have lots of parking, clean bathrooms, and did I mention the gift shop!? They have everything from local, fresh cheeses, different types of milk, including banana, and so so many other items. I think I could have stayed for some major shopping. I honestly can't wait to come back soon, hopefully. Great spot, highly recommend.

I ordered scrambled eggs with no butter and just a light amount of oil. They came in a cup, and when I dumped them onto a tray to try to eat them, an unbelievable amount of butter/oil poured out. The outside of the place is cute, the bathrooms are clean, and the shop itself is adorable with a ton of stuff to browse and buy. If you're stopping by, grab a coffee, use the bathroom, check out the shop and then run out of there before ordering breakfast. If you have kids, they do have an outside play area.

I totally understand that it's annoying to have to move when you're in the middle of something so I'm not like saying anything really bad about that. It's just like my experience when I walked in. And the place is like really whimsical like there's the sugary pops lollipops were probably the cheapest thing maybe that I saw on there and there's around the world type bags which my friend thought that it would be candy from around the world stuffed in there kind of like mystery bags I'm pretty sure her answer was that it was for display, but like I wasn't really listening because I was distracted by the Willy Wonka movie with the theater chairs and it's just like a really cool corner in there But everything was expensive for sure.
