This place has a genuine mom-and-pop feel, the kind where people actually care about the families coming through the door. Bekah at the front desk was the first person who really set the tone. My day had already been a bit hectic trying to coordinate everything, and she calmly helped straighten things out and get us settled in. Lindsay was fantastic out on the hill--super attentive and very protective of my boy's safety, which any parent immediately appreciates. Erik went above and beyond helping my 4-year-old son Sebastian when he was unsure about getting on the tube. That moment meant a lot to me as a parent. The kids working at the top of the hill kept the energy up and made it exciting for my boys every run. Back at the lodge, Bekah and Dee were everywhere helping people out and keeping things running smoothly. Dee in particular seemed to be all over the place making sure everyone had what they needed. Another big plus: they have all the gear you might need right there at the lodge, and the prices are very fair. If you forget something, don't turn around or stress about it--just settle in at the lodge and they'll get you taken care of. Honestly I could keep going, because everyone there contributed to making the day great. I was trying to divide my mind and body managing the kids, but the staff ended up being the glue that held the whole experience together. If you're bringing kids to Tahoe and want something fun, welcoming, and run by people who genuinely care, Tube Tahoe is the spot.

Once we finally got helped and paid we were giving tags and told end time, we were referred to go outside to wait for someone to add tags to our clothes so they could keep track of who's supposed to be an expectator and who's sledding, just to sit and watch you have to pay. Half the staff helping at the top of the snow was helpful and half was just getting by. Our kids made the best of it. Not sure if will make it back.

The greeter, helmet station, to the snow mobile due- they made the experience easy, fun, and enjoyable. Great for Families & Touristy Fun -- Just Come Early! We…read morevisited Tahoe Snowmobiles in South Lake Tahoe for snow tubing, and had a really fun time! While the business name suggests it's just for snowmobiles, they also offer snow tubing, which is what we came for -- but it wasn't immediately clear online or on signage. It took a bit of guessing to realize we were at the right place since the signage could definitely be improved. That said, once we figured it out, everything was smooth! Good to Know Before You Go: Tubing is $50 per person per hour, and every person on the property (even if not tubing) must purchase a $10 spectator pass for liability reasons. We arrived around 10:30 AM on a Sunday, and the lines were okay -- but by noon, it got VERY busy. We were so glad we came early. Slopes are perfect for kids -- not too steep, with just the right amount of thrill. Kids aged 3-5 must ride with an adult. There are two entry lines (walk-in & reservations). Booking online ahead might help to save some time. What We Loved: The tubing lanes were well-groomed and smooth. There were staff members at the top helping launch you down gently (or with a wild spin, if you're up for it!) and safety staff at the bottom ensuring smooth exits. Kids loved it, and it felt safe and well-managed overall. Staff were young but hard-working and cheerful. There's a QR code at the entrance to fill out the required waiver -- best to start that while you wait in line. Parking Tip: Nearby parking is $20 per hour, but the first hour is free -- perfect if you plan your visit efficiently. Final Thoughts: Yes, it's a bit touristy and a little pricey -- but it's also a blast and creates great memories and photos for families. If you arrive before 10 AM or later around 3 PM, you'll avoid the biggest crowds and have a much smoother experience. We'd definitely recommend it for families looking for classic snow fun in South Lake Tahoe!

The booking process was easy, the staff was friendly and responsive, and all of the follow-up emails and confirmations made everything feel well organized. The location was also fantastic and made it easy to get around during the event. There were only a couple of minor downsides. The biggest one was the lack of air conditioning in the main living area. There was a portable A/C unit in the bedroom, which helped while sleeping, but it was fairly loud. During the day, the living room stayed quite warm until the evening cooled things off. I ended up leaving the windows and patio door open most of the time for airflow. I also couldn't quite figure out how to properly lock or secure the patio door when it was closed. It may have just been user error, but some simple instructions would have been helpful. One other note, while not really the property's fault. They recommended a shuttle service from the Reno airport. Booking online was easy enough ($95 from RNO), but after receiving my confirmation email I tried calling, texting, and even reaching out via WhatsApp several times with a couple of questions and never received a response. Thankfully, the shuttle did show up (about 10 minutes late), and everything worked out. Other than those few things, I really enjoyed my stay and would absolutely stay here again. Having a full kitchen was a nice bonus, and next time I'd probably arrange for a grocery delivery instead of eating out for every meal. It would save a fair bit of money, especially if you're staying for a conference or event.

End of season and not enough snow anymore. Fantastic staff here. Their guidance on what to observe where and when to show how warm and friendly they all have been really makes this day complete. The 1960's Olympics museum is a must. I had no idea this was here and it's been not only a fun history lesson but neat to be so close to the elements, buildings, photos, stories and land where the first western USA Olympics took place. What a great experience. Gondola patrons lovely. Lift just to left of the slopes much busier and end of day skiers can be a bit nasty. Over all good experience anyway. $0.00 to park and right next to the Olympic village. You're just steps away from the lifts.

Proven Results in Just Two Mornings -- The Video Says It All…read more If you're evaluating private ski instruction at Palisades Tahoe, this is the benchmark. We booked two morning sessions with Pro Powder Guides for our 13-year-old daughter, who had never skied before. Our expectation was simple--safe introduction, basic control, and hopefully a positive experience. What happened instead was a complete transformation. David's coaching was precise, calm, and incredibly effective. The real differentiator was the CALM-TALK™ helmet communication system--live, in-motion coaching that eliminated confusion and accelerated learning in a way we've never seen. And here's the part that matters: The video proves it. By the end of the second morning, she was: Linking clean parallel turns Confidently using her poles Skiing intermediate terrain with control and flow No exaggeration. No marketing spin. You can literally see the progression. As parents, that level of outcome--delivered efficiently, safely, and with total professionalism--is exactly what you hope for, but rarely get. Why this stands apart: Real, visible results in minimal time Technology-enhanced coaching (CALM-TALK™) that actually works Clear, composed instruction tailored to the individual A premium, private experience focused on outcomes--not just time on snow Bottom line: If you want your child to not just try skiing--but truly learn it, confidently and correctly--Pro Powder Guides is in a different league. We didn't just hear progress. We saw it.

And at a fraction of the price! Dave delivered clear communication, excellent demonstration, positive vibe, professional demeanor, and provided a written review with notes on what to continue working on. He even took videos throughout the day so that we could review the progress, and take note on what my boyfriend needed to work on. Book a lesson with Dave. You wont regret it!
