Check-in was painless, the man simply verified my order confirmation email and handed us wristbands. Off to tubing!!!! Let's keep it real, there are not enough tubes for the amount of people there. Many people were standing around the top of the Magic Carpet waiting for someone to toss their unwanted tube. But I was grateful to the loud attendants walking around, loudly explaining the rules of "Tube Sharing"- pretty much they don't want anyone standing away wasting time on their time slot for a tube, so get in a line and when it's your turn to go down and don't have one, the people behind you are prompted by the leads to share theirs. Not an ideal process as there is no signage and I can see how it can get chaotic and frustrating. We timed each line we were in and only got to go down 4 times, 30 min per line and taking into account the ride up on the magic carpet. All of that within our 2 hour timeframe- 4 times. Our kids had much more fun playing in the general snow play area anyway, but bummer about the organization of it all putting salt in the wound of pricey tickets!

He was very cheerful and helpful, and kind. At one point, my son's hat flew off halfway down the hill and he immediately yelled, "I'll get it!" and went running down the hill. He would enthusiastically and cheerfully come and offer to push anyone down the hill. I can't really express how much h he made the experience more enjoyable because of how he ran the mountain.

She said she put us on the reservation but they were asking for her email and reservation number which we didn't have so we did have to wait until 5:00 when she arrived to access the room. We recommended to the front desk to offer at least access the pool. I do feel this should have been offered to off set the issue without us having to recommend it. When we did finally access the room which she had gotten a 2 bedroom penthouse it appeared to be a beautiful room with a very nice view. When we went upstairs to access the bedrooms one of the rooms appeared not to be clean. The bed sheets had a black mark on edge of the sheets. When I went to take a shower later in the evening the floor was sticky. Upon looking closer there was liquid all over the floor which appeared to be either soda or alcohol. At this time in the evening I just wiped it up. We had to call several times for luggage that never arrived. We ended up going to dinner and grabbing it ourselves at the counter. They let us know when we went down to the counter they were busy when we checked in. If this was the situation they should have let us know instead of us having us wait for a long time. We ended up having to leave for dinner. It's the little things that could really improve the resort. It just seems like the staff we encountered during our stay was lacking customer service and training. I don't say this lightly because I do feel little things can happen but it was a common issue during our overnight. If someone is staying in a 1300.00 a night room I do believe a certain level of service should be expected. Maybe they were short staffed since it was a Sunday or had new staff during the summer season. The other issue we encounter was when accessing the locker room while it's open until 8:00 pm it would have been good for the staff to say they will lock their doors early at 6:00 pm and we will have to enter through the gym. My heart sank when we tried to enter through the spa and it was locked. We had to look around to figure out how to enter the locker room through the gym to access our items in the lockers. Again it's the little things that affect the overall stay.

The booking process was easy, the staff was friendly and responsive, and all of the follow-up emails and confirmations made everything feel well organized. The location was also fantastic and made it easy to get around during the event. There were only a couple of minor downsides. The biggest one was the lack of air conditioning in the main living area. There was a portable A/C unit in the bedroom, which helped while sleeping, but it was fairly loud. During the day, the living room stayed quite warm until the evening cooled things off. I ended up leaving the windows and patio door open most of the time for airflow. I also couldn't quite figure out how to properly lock or secure the patio door when it was closed. It may have just been user error, but some simple instructions would have been helpful. One other note, while not really the property's fault. They recommended a shuttle service from the Reno airport. Booking online was easy enough ($95 from RNO), but after receiving my confirmation email I tried calling, texting, and even reaching out via WhatsApp several times with a couple of questions and never received a response. Thankfully, the shuttle did show up (about 10 minutes late), and everything worked out. Other than those few things, I really enjoyed my stay and would absolutely stay here again. Having a full kitchen was a nice bonus, and next time I'd probably arrange for a grocery delivery instead of eating out for every meal. It would save a fair bit of money, especially if you're staying for a conference or event.

I had no idea this was here and it's been not only a fun history lesson but neat to be so close to the elements, buildings, photos, stories and land where the first western USA Olympics took place. What a great experience. Gondola patrons lovely. Lift just to left of the slopes much busier and end of day skiers can be a bit nasty. Over all good experience anyway. $0.00 to park and right next to the Olympic village. You're just steps away from the lifts.

Lindsay was fantastic out on the hill--super attentive and very protective of my boy's safety, which any parent immediately appreciates. Erik went above and beyond helping my 4-year-old son Sebastian when he was unsure about getting on the tube. That moment meant a lot to me as a parent. The kids working at the top of the hill kept the energy up and made it exciting for my boys every run. Back at the lodge, Bekah and Dee were everywhere helping people out and keeping things running smoothly. Dee in particular seemed to be all over the place making sure everyone had what they needed. Another big plus: they have all the gear you might need right there at the lodge, and the prices are very fair. If you forget something, don't turn around or stress about it--just settle in at the lodge and they'll get you taken care of. Honestly I could keep going, because everyone there contributed to making the day great. I was trying to divide my mind and body managing the kids, but the staff ended up being the glue that held the whole experience together. The road to get there was very slushy and I'm sure some would be getting stuck on the way out. Some had to loop to get a parking spot but once you are parked you find the metal entrance and from there you can hike anywhere. A lot of families trying to play or go sledding on the small amount of hills. I suggest getting snow shoes to walk up the trails. I took my dog on a 20 ft long line leash. I saw a few other dogs and we kept to ourselves. The dumpster was broken so trash unfortunately was everywhere. Parking was a bit of a mess but I found a spot perfectly fine! I suggest bring your own hand sanitizer, wet wipes, toilet paper, a lunch, water, winter gear, and a calm attitude. Myself and my senior dog enjoyed every bit of it!

New owners this year…read more You CAN NOT bring your own snow discs or sleds you HAVE to pay for tubes. No point in arriving early either cause by the time you're done filling out & signing the form the time for the first session starts. Instead of your time starting when you first get to the tubes. For 2 hours $20 per adult (adult age is 13+) $15 per kid (ages 3 - 12) and you have to lug the tubes yourself up the hill. One worker said not a lot of people go longer than 2 hours, geee I wonder why . A lot of returning customers either lor did not all go, smh.
