Great spot. My 2 toddlers are having fun. At the bottom or going down the hill. I recommend this spot. Quiet and free. With parking

This place has a genuine mom-and-pop feel, the kind where people actually care about the families coming through the door. Bekah at the front desk was the first person who really set the tone. My day had already been a bit hectic trying to coordinate everything, and she calmly helped straighten things out and get us settled in. Lindsay was fantastic out on the hill--super attentive and very protective of my boy's safety, which any parent immediately appreciates. Erik went above and beyond helping my 4-year-old son Sebastian when he was unsure about getting on the tube. That moment meant a lot to me as a parent. The kids working at the top of the hill kept the energy up and made it exciting for my boys every run. Back at the lodge, Bekah and Dee were everywhere helping people out and keeping things running smoothly. Dee in particular seemed to be all over the place making sure everyone had what they needed. Another big plus: they have all the gear you might need right there at the lodge, and the prices are very fair. If you forget something, don't turn around or stress about it--just settle in at the lodge and they'll get you taken care of. Honestly I could keep going, because everyone there contributed to making the day great. I was trying to divide my mind and body managing the kids, but the staff ended up being the glue that held the whole experience together. If you're bringing kids to Tahoe and want something fun, welcoming, and run by people who genuinely care, Tube Tahoe is the spot.

Once we finally got helped and paid we were giving tags and told end time, we were referred to go outside to wait for someone to add tags to our clothes so they could keep track of who's supposed to be an expectator and who's sledding, just to sit and watch you have to pay. Half the staff helping at the top of the snow was helpful and half was just getting by. Our kids made the best of it. Not sure if will make it back.

We arrived a little before 12 pm and were greeted by an employee. For the golf course selection, there are 3 options to choose from (but one course was currently closed). We ended up choosing to do the castle course, which has 28 holes. I had cash in my purse so we paid for a smaller discount of $20 per person. If you pay credit card, it would have been $20.60 per person (I am assuming for the credit card fee?). We were given our clubs and 2 colored golf balls. And the employee who checked us in had told us that there is a hole where the mill is not working. The motor to power it is not working but that we can slowly pushing it towards where she is and it should work. The castle themed course is very cute and we really enjoyed seeing each hole, which some of them were really challenging. Some of the holes were also really well constructed and decorated, including the one with a ship and a giant goldfish. We golfed here for about an hour. And I am happy to say that I ended up with the smaller amount of strokes (just by a margin though). Although this course has 28 holes, you only golf with 27 holes. And then for the last one, you come back inside where you paid for your admission and put it in one of two machines. I placed my golf ball into what looks like a plinko style game (which reminds me of The Price Is Right show). But I don't know if I was supposed to try to win something or not or just to watch it make it's way down to one of three holes. And then my husband placed his ball in the other machine that looks like a slot machine. Overall, we had a great time and am glad we were able to make it out here.

We had to pay $10 for beach parking, and they let us park just past the pay gate so it was a short walk the the shop. Their bikes and kid's trailers are good quality - we went on a ~16 mile ride and the equipment served us well. The wheels on the trailer were true. However, the service is not great. One of our friends was looking for a tag along bike (a kid's bike connected to the adult bike); this shop normally has them but they were out of service, and the guys working at the shop wouldn't even explain why or offer any other options. When we asked for helmets, they vaguely pointed to the back of the store and again weren't helpful while we looked through unfamiliar rooms for an apparent collection of helmets somewhere. Upon leaving, we weren't given any information on price or time limits so we took our time and got back at almost 5pm; I embarrassingly realized they had actually closed at 4pm. Even so, they only charged us for 3 hours instead of the 5 we were gone. They did also lose the liability we signed (they said it was no issue for us, but it was just their own fault for getting mixed up). Overall I think the guys who work here know their way around bikes and keep things in good shape. They don't seem to care too much about much else like customer service; not great when you need their help, but beneficial when they aren't strict about how much they charge.

The booking email says to meet a Zephyr Cove Lodge 90 minutes before tour, but a text the day before moved it back by 45 minutes. Okay. I just assume we're hopping on the running bus in the parking lot, but someone comes out and says we need to check-in inside. Inside is chaotic. Do we need to get helmets here or the trailhead? Nobody seems to know. I'm thinking "ma'am this is YOUR show". A few helmets appears, then a few more. Plot twist, there's plenty at the trailhead. Then the bus driver rolls through the crowd barking to get aboard and he's leaving immediately. So we do - and without a greeting or headcount, we're off. Off to nowhere it seems. We roll through two resorts and take on zero additional passengers. How does this happen? How is scheduling so loose we're wasting time turning around at the Golden Nugget? Then we transfer to another bus. Some story about it having a more powerful motor. It look like an identical old school bus that's been fitted with new seats. It's not like we're off-roading to the trailhead, it's paved roads the whole way. Then why couldn't we just drive ourselves to the trailhead and save fussing with busses and save two hours? Anyway - once there - equipment is good, guide is good, scenery is outstanding. Just wish it wasn't such a hassle to get there.
