As a long time patron of this business, since the '90's, and it is under new ownership, I was really disappointed in the unusual way of my favorite flavor(fruit) tasted. I tasted another flavor I like, and it was also disappointing. I would guess either a different brand of flavoring is being used or something was not right with the two I tasted. Probably the former. Omg!! Hubby and I have been trying a new snoball stand every weekend over the past month n a half. Hands down....the yummiest! The sno is SPOT on. I got a coconut with cream. The line was long but went very quick! 3 minutes tops. The small was only $2.50. Med 3.50. Probly shoulda gotten a small instead of a med but when I was done...I thought I shoulda gotten a large. :) That yummy! We live in Round Rock and will be coming back often! There's roughly 15 tables, many with umbrellas. Highly recommend this spot on your summer day downtown. :) read more

As a general rule, I don't like snow cones: those rock hard balls of ice balanced on a little paper cone with a bunch of overly sweet syrup collected at the point. Sno-Beach changed all that. It all starts with their ice which is shaved into soft delicious flakes, Hawaiian shave ice style. Its the perfect consistency to absorb Sno-Beach's delicious syrup flavors. Pick 2 for variety. I tend to go for a berry flavor and a tropical flavor ... but I don't have a main stay order because they are all good. Most importantly, add cream. Trust me, just do it. Whenever I lived in Austin there was this amazing snow cone truck on the drag. Since returning back to Houston I've been looking for a replacement and this may be it. Amazingly good sno-cones!

Had our first snow cone here today, it was very good. The only problem I had was the amount of bees that were around. If your child or you have an allergy, I would not recommend staying there to eat your snow cone. The heat is unbearable these days but they're awesome enough to provide umbrellas for shade. All in all I really liked it here. And the pricing range was really good considering the amount that they give you. read more

This has been my absolute favorite snow cone place for the last 4 years, but today, that may have changed. Not only have they had the best tasting, softest ice, and the most generous portioning of topping, they have the best staff. But I don't know if it's someone new, or if someone was having a bad day, but the girl I worked with today gave me none of that. As I watched her serve the guest in front of me a very small amount of syrup, I made sure to pay attention to mine. I made mention of it and asked politely if I could have more, no response, actually besides asking what do I want she said nothing else. After I found out the bottom 3rd of my cup was just solid white ice, no syrup, even after I offer to pay for it, with an attitude she gave me the smallest amount of syrup I could imagine, it was honestly insulting how much she gave, I couldn't even eat the rest. I drive 20 plus minutes for this to spend near 10 dollars, which is CASH ONLY, for 2 under syruped cones delivered by a hostile worker? If you come avoid the right window, she was wearing a red shirt and had big clear glasses? I've been extremely jaded about all other snow cone places, but since it seems like it's changing, I'll definitely be trying the snow cone place by Westgate Lanes. I hate calling people out this is sincerely my 3rd review and the first time I've ever called someone out specifically, but it's solely because that person singlehandedly has possibly lost the future business of a 4 plus year patron who has convinced numerous people that this is the best in Austin. I work in real estate and this establishment is even a part of my sales pitch! Maybe it was a one off, but time will only tell. read more

Great place for shaved ice! Easy parking and inexpensive. It is cash only, but at the price of only a few dollars this was not a problem for us,. Very similar to the Shave Ice places in Hawaii. They offer it served with ice cream and cream topping which is definitely the way to go! I have not had many snow cones in Austin, but those that I have tried have left a lot to be desired. Not so with Sno Beach. Their portions are huge, their prices are cheap, and their product is far superior to any of the other stands I have tried. My girlfriend and I were waiting for some sushi and decided to split a medium kiwi raspberry while we waited. The girls working at the stand were very pleasant and talkative and when they handed us the cone I was very surprised at the gigantic portion. I'll definitely be back. read more
