Been trying to get a house ready for the market. I've been abandoned by a builder taking my money…read moreand had numerous service guys waste my time by pretending to be interested, promising to look at the house or do an estimate, continually make excuses before finally ignoring me altogether. I wish I could say the experience was different with Jason but it wasn't. He said he had availability and would bid for the job. That was October 31. The entire week he said he would get out there, then apologized said he would the next day. Then he said he would get out there this weekend and then finally, no more communication from Jason. Thanks for wasting a full week of my time when I'm desperately trying to get this thing finished ASAP. I could have been trying to find handyman who wouldn't waste my time instead of not knowing how to say they were too busy for the job. I'm very disappointed and would recommend someone else if you need the job done quickly. He's nice but not very responsive to your needs.

Made an appointment for a few days later when Zach arrived he introduced me to Bryan who was doing my project before he left. That was a nice touch. Only negative might be--They were a bit late but texted before. Bryan was like Spider-Man with his leaf blower on the 2nd story roof. He blew the roof and gutters! While Bryan was here and I saw a magnificent power washer on his truck--I asked for a bid on my items mentioned below. The price seemed fair but wasn't cheap, I decided not to bid with others because of my experience with Bryan, plus I had 30 years of grime on my rock pathways, driveway and bottom of the foundation and he told me in detail what he would clean and how. I accepted the bid for part 2 and he even trusted me and waited to collect until finishing everything. He explained how he'd tackle my project when he returned a week or so later--I couldn't do right away. He also patiently let me reschedule at the last minute because my lawn wasn't moved yet. True to his promises, Bryan cared about my project --I'm so proud of my pathways (I have numerous limestone pathways that faded, but now they're almost like new!). Now... none of my limestone pathways or two boulders are that gray, gross color that happens to aged limestone I didn't realize how gross my driveway and sidewalks were, also there was a section of my white brick that was almost black--I'd tried cleaning myself but wasn't successful. I thought it was ruined, but it was cleaned! He used a rotary cleaner on the concrete too! Also, I'd tried cleaning my patio was it was so stubborn and was so funky I bought an outdoor rug to not track the grime inside. The job took most of the day. They use a bleach solution that didn't kill anything but continued to eat away at the funk before the rain came. Now I'm so proud of my yard! I'm not the gross neighbor and I'm not concerned about my clogged gutters. I think I'll hire them to keep ahead of my gutters next year--I have big dirty oak trees! Finally, Bryan looks you in the eyes when he talks to you, I can't explain it but I just know he's listening and he cares. I use Yelp because I can see how people rate others--I'd rate both these guys as professionals.

My microwave oven range hood is not satisfactory and the smoke alarm goes off all the time because I cooked a lot and generated a lot of smoke. I found TX5J Handyman ("Daniel & Crew") on Yelp and contacted them. Danel came over, did a detailed FREE inspection and gave me a competitive quote in 24 hours. I then decided to hire them for the job. They came in at 7:30 A.M. in the morning to beat the summer heat. It requires piping and extension exhaust vent directly to outside top siding. It was not an easy job but they completed the job at 2:45 p.m. I am completely satisfied and happy with Daniel & His Crew. Photo is attached "Before and After". P.S.1 It's beautiful isn't it? Yes, they even did the "white box" enclosure (so you won't see the pipe) between the roof and the under cabinet that holds the HAUSLANE range hood to make it look first class+style. Thank you for your help. You people did a good job.

JASB Roofing and Exterior Remodeling review: 6/15/2026…read more I am seventy five years old, a retired Quality Assurance manager. I started inspecting weapon specs circuit boards at Texas Instruments in 1978. After that was heart valves at Medtronic's Global Healthcare, qualifying high purity gas lines at Motorola, aircraft fasteners at Honeywell Aircraft, and lastly at the Construction Division of Texas Department of Transportation. The point being is that I have seen a great deal of manufacturing during my career. My wife and I spent months researching/interviewing contractors for the major over haul on the multilevel deck on our house. Only one contractor stood out, JASB. In my thirty seven years of inspecting products, this company was deeply impressive. The owner, Audie, was very fast on his feet with revision changes. The construction was performed by craftsmen. Craftsmen are as rare as hen's teeth. Carpenters are bumping into each other. I watched this crew for thirty days from the windows and many times outside. They habitually checked plumb and square with a carpenter's level. They would 'dry fit' parts before attaching them. At the beginning and end of each day the lead man would ask me if I had any questions. The quality of work was astonishing. When the job was complete I watched them leave from inside the house and Renato stopped the truck in the street and walked back onto the driveway to pick up loose nails and screws. I would not hesitate to refer this company to family members or very close friends!
