Instead of letting us continue shopping, the associate forced her to leave. The attitude was beyond condescending, and the sheer hostility was shocking. Instead of spending a dime at Isabel Marant, I took my business to Vivienne Westwood, where the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Today is Friday, October 20, 2023 and I'm writing the down because I regrettably didn't get the name of the employee who helped me tonight in the location in Kings Plaza Mall, but when I entered, he and the young lady behind the cashwrap both greeted me with a smile and welcomed me into the store. It was very warming. I've worked in Kings Plaza for years as a manager in one of the stores that isn't there any more, so I really appreciate great customer service. I came in because I needed a pair of plain white shoes for my new job I'm starting soon. Kings Plaza is known to have a wide selection of footwear throughout the mall, but I'm a big guy and I have a large shoe size, and I've checked every place I usually get shoes from, but nobody had what I was looking for, or if they did not in my size (13 or larger.) I knew Vans would probably have my size, but they're not really a comfortable shoe for working normally. The genrleman who helped me was very knowledgable. He recommended alternatives based on what I was looking for and actually found a decent shoe that fit both my criteria and my feet. They felt comfortable to walk around in and it was less than the price I wanted to spend on them. The young woman at the register greeted me with a nice smile as she gave me my total and they both wished me a good day. It doesn't take much in the world of retail to make a customer happy, but I want to give kudos to all the Vans stores. You guys are awesome at hiring and training your staff, and I know from experience that sometimes Kings Plaza can be a rough place to work in and maintain a smile.
