He has some other guys who i think are renting space from him, doing other car work. I was very unhappy when I had my car towed there for the starter to get fixed. They replaced it, but then when I went to pick it up it wouldn't start. they looked at me like I was dumb. Sure enough, something else was wrong. it took them 2 hours to diagnose a bad relay, and yes, they charged me for the labor. not happy. i'll only be coming here for a/c work, not for other car things. Mike is a one-man show at Clear Lake Auto Air. He rents space in the transmission shop, his office is in the back. Just ask any of the mechanics for Mike the A/C guy and they'll point you in the right direction. Mike is a good, ol' fashioned, honest mechanic. ALL he does is car heating and cooling. He will recharge your freon for less than 40 bucks, and won't put you through all of the hassle of the leak check and bla bla bla. Within 6 months of moving to Houston, the A/C had gone out on both of my cars. My poor northern babies couldn't handle the southern heat. Mike replaced both of my systems and gave me honest quotes and great insight into how to keep my A/C from crashing again. Every once in a while I stop by when something is on the fritz with my a/c...most recently, a leaf in my blower, and he will help me out...for FREE! this guy is awesome. highly recommended.

Mike it didn't fix my problem and he didn't charge me a dime either. Most importantly he gave me his honest advice told me what to look for and what he would recommend having replaced. Mike currently owns the transmission shop. He says he has a great transmission builder and the shop is nice and clean. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my or anyone else's vehicle there for work. When an agreement was made, they quickly started the repairs, and kept us updated on the progress. One week later, I picked up the car and it was running smoothly. They showed my the parted that got replaced, how the damaged was caused, and advice on how to keep the car running as long as possible (which I needed, because I have graduated school in another state and won't have time or money for additional repairs.) I highly recommend them because they work with the customer to get the job done, and even have a free follow up to make sure every thing is running properly. While waiting in the lobby, had a great converstion with them about volunteering and scholarships for student. They included a 18 month warranty on the labor and transmission. Hands down, amazing business with great people behind the name. P.S. for those who would recommend us to junk the car and down a new one. This was my college graduation gift from my parents and surprised the morning of my graduation. The car I wanted since junior year of high school. The sentimental value was too high, hence why I couldn't junk G.

Our family has had major rebuilds done (transmission) as well as complete fluid changes (routine high-mileage maintenance) done on our Chevrolet trucks. He always does a great job. He is also quite a bit less expensive than taking your car to a dealer. Plus, he doesn't "find something broken" like many dealers have a tendency to do even under normal oil change inspections. Call ahead to ensure he has room for you. It may take a few days to get you in. Good mechanics are busy mechanics. Bottom line - Supreme1 is a trustworthy place to take your vehicle. I have never gotten an update on what is wrong with my van. Yes, something is wrong with the transmission... but what? Absolutely the worst communication with a car repair shop that I've ever experienced. I posted my call log and txt mssg history as proof. June 10th (date of this review) I called to get an update. Was told to hold, was disconnected, and was ultimately told they'd call me back. I said I was coming to get it and take it someplace else and was told I couldn't. Then I was advised that the transmission has been taken to a different shop because they didn't have a mechanic there. "TRANSMISSIONS" is part of their name, I wasn't told they didn't have a mechanic there that could rebuild a transmission. I feel that both David and Raheem strung me along for the past 3 weeks.... both had said it would be done "Wednesday"... three Wednesdays later and I STILL don't have my van or even know for sure what failed with the transmission. I'm furious and I don't appreciate the hostility that David projected on to me when I asked for answers. As it stands, they'll call me Friday.‍‍‍‍

Initially, they were prompt in calling me to say the car was fixed, so I picked it up two days later. However, shortly after, I noticed the car was leaking fluid. I called them immediately, and they asked me to bring it back in. After doing so, I was assured they would address the issue. Unfortunately, the car continued to leak fluid even after their second attempt to fix it. I was forced to return the car to them once more. This time, they kept my car for two months, during which I never received a clear or consistent explanation for the delay. Each time I called or visited, I was given a different reason for why the repair was taking so long. It was incredibly frustrating to be without my car for such an extended period without any satisfactory communication from them. Eventually, they told me they couldn't fix the problem, but their explanations were vague and unconvincing. This lack of clarity and professionalism was disappointing. Due to this experience, I am giving Deleon Mechanic Shop a one-star rating. I will not be taking my car there again and would caution others to consider my experience before choosing this shop.
