Finally we literally walked behind the counter to the back of the store and found "Sandi" just sitting in the back. We asked her to help us since she works here and she did. We then walked back to the front of the store for yogurt and asked for some. SANDI told us they didnt have any yogurt today because all of the yogurt machines were broken. It was obvious she simply wasn't doing her job and that's why no yogurt was ready. We decided to take our business elsewhere. They need to get rid of SANDI and get an employee that's not allowing customers to walk anywhere they want behind the counter. Good thing we are good people cause we could have taken anything we wanted from the store... what a complete joke.

The pecans were nice, but they didn't make up for the overall lack of flavor. Don't get me wrong. It was good. Just not anywhere near what I was expecting flavor-wise for butter pecan. The service was fine too. The folks were pleasant. But this is yet another place that thinks they deserve a tip for doing 1-2 minutes worth of work. And I don't agree with that. Finally, I bought a small ice cream waffle cone with 1 scoop. It cost almost $8. I was shocked to hear the price. I know this is speciality ice cream, but I won't be going back - especially because I thought the flavor was so underwhelming.

After meandering through the museum, I had worked up an appetite the size of the dinosaurs I'd just seen. It was a bajillion degrees outside, so the last thing I wanted was hot food-and the chicken salad was calling to me. I'm glad I listened to the call. The salad was delicious-with pretty darn good ingredients. The portion size was very generous for the price and they were happy to point me to water cups rather than force me to buy an overpriced single-use bottle of water like other places do. (Can you tell how much I hate that?) My dining partner opted for a grilled cheese off the kids' menu and it looked less than appealing. Granted, I don't like cheese, but based on what he told me about it, there was nothing magical about the concoction of white bread and American Cheese smashed together. However, it's made for the kids and the kids don't usually care too much. I'll come back for that salad, though.

They offer samples so you can try out before purchasing, just know there will most likely be a long line while other customers are trying to decide what they want to buy. You'll get your chance too. The recommendations they have for the most popular flavors that day also help narrow down all your choices! I can't remember the cute titles for the ice cream, but there were the flavors we ordered: light pink Cactus Lime (either sorbet or sherbet), White Cheesecake with raspberry swirl, Purplish brown chocolate raspberry, and chocolate with peanut butter chunks.

However, I do think that when I say that I have an allergy and I'm told these ice cream creams are dairy free. I expect the staff to take extra safe precautions and not cross contaminate the ice cream. The staff took an ice cream to scoop from a dairy ice cream, put it in some water to clean it off or whatever they did and then immediately put it into the dairy free ice cream, which does still cross contaminate. The staff however, is friendly and the theme of the restaurant is cute and I think if you don't have an allergy or want to experience ice cream this would be a good place, I will, however, not be back, it's not worth a hospital visit.

They churn their own ice cream in house and it is obvious that they use awesomeness amounts of cream. The store has a cozy and chic vibe. I like the minty green color scheme. The overall feel is comfortable. Don't expect a freezer displaying their ice creams as the freezer case is behind the small counter that holds the cookies they use for sundae and shake addins. The employee was cheerful and happy to serve. This is a Mom & Pop establishment, so this is their only location. It was worth a 25 minute drive for me, maybe it will be for you, too. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

That's super considerate when one wants to try multiple flavors. The thing that is a must try here is their smashed donut. The contract between a hot heated donut and cold sweet ice cream is awesome. Fortunately for me, my donut ice cream sandwiches came out quickly after ordering. Though, it did take some time for the servers to have a moment to take my order. The team here is really kind. As far as I know, this place is a locally own location, based on what the owner said when their first opened. I love supporting my community so I will be returning for those yummy smashed donuts!
