I hesitate writing this, because the last thing I want to do is write a negative review of a business. However, 6 months after one of my most negative experiences at any medical office, I am still dealing with issues that are the fault of this office. I would not want another person to have to go through what I have gone through. First, the office visit was a complete nightmare. It was in October of 2015. I arrived 15 minutes early to hand in my paperwork and make sure I had everything. After 45 minutes, the guy next to me said, "It is always a long wait at this office." Once I was called back, every single person in that office was extremely kind. The dental hygienist let me know she is not a regular at that office, but I would give her high marks if I could remember her name 6 months later. After she did the initial work, she left and I waited in the room for a 1/2 hour. The dentist came in, and talked to me about everything that was going on. I felt she was thorough and knew exactly what was going on. I enjoyed her bedside manner as well. She said I would be fitted for a night guard, and then she would do another procedure that would help the pain in my mouth. The hygienist returned promptly and did everything she needed to do to get a mold. Then I sat for almost an hour and a half, waiting for the dentist. I had to get my kids so I got up and started to leave. The hygienist came around and said, "No one has seen you yet?" The dentist came up behind her and I said I needed to leave, that I had waited almost an hour and a half with not one person coming to check on me or give me an update. I can't believe I waited that long, and deeply regret it. She lectured me on why I needed to stay, and said she has just been busy. She then couldn't believe I was still going to leave. I went out front and paid the $350 that I owed at that point. Now, on to the billing part that has prompted me to write this. In February, I received a bill saying I was more than 120 days past due for the mouth guard. It was my first bill. I checked my insurance website and saw Sneed's office made a claim for the visit, but not the guard. I called the office and explained the situation. The very kind woman checked with billing, and got back on the phone, apologized for the confusion, and said they would take care of it. I asked her please to make note I wanted an update. Today, on March 30th, I received a certified letter from an attorney saying I was delinquent on the account. I am beyond furious. I understand that insurance is a hassle to deal with, but I was proactive and they still put an attorney on me...even though I had just proactively called last month. I checked with my insurance, and they did not receive the claim from Sneed until 3/2/2016, less than a month before I received the attorney's letter. I just called Sneed's office, everyone was very nice, and the young man said he completely understood my frustration. He admitted someone should have noticed that they did not file the claim until 3/2/2016. I include the parts about everyone being kind, because they deserve that recognition. However, after my extremely poor service during my visit, and the billing issues I just had to spend yet another hour on to get sorted out, I feel the public should know what issues it may face with this practice. To end, I have never written a negative review. I have always feared the backlash. read more
