My dentist went out of network, after an extraction and bone graft but before the implant and crown, so I sought a new one for that and, most pressingly, to check on the recently arising pain in the tooth just before the empty space. I set an appt here. First, I was told to return to my prior Dentist to have him check the bite on a six month old crown (the painful tooth in question), despite my coming to Botts because the other one was out of network now. However, the only options this botts Dentist provided was to sign a waiver, absolving him of any liability should he damage my tooth in adjusting the bite, or go back to the other dentist. I was frustrated bc I expressly made the appointment about the troublesome tooth, and I felt like I'd been misled when they well knew why I set the appointment. Still, I put that aside, and I go back to my former dentist; then I return to bots asking for a quote for the implant. Since my former dentist had already said I needed a small filling, I let botts do the procedure that day to avoid more wasted time. After the filling was complete, I was quoted approximately $200 for a small insurance-covered filling--which was odd bc I've never paid more than $110, and my prior dentist is one of the top rated in the city. Yet again, I was told that I would have to come back for a separate visit to get the quote; they wouldn't even give me a ballpark without attending the appointment. No one said it would cost anything. So, I set that appointment and returned for it, but no quote was given at the end of the appointment. Instead, they said they'd call me. Minutes after leaving l get a phone call. It's them saying I owe them approximately $200. When I questioned it, the lady said she would call me back. Someone then calls me back, someone different, and says to disregard what the prior person said, that it was an error. A month passes with no quote, and I'm realizing this just isn't a good fit. So, I find a new dentist who promptly got me in for the cleaning and set the implant appt within a month. The situation felt shady, just off to me, so I counted it as an early revelation and moved on. I thought, hey, Botts is behind me, so I didn't plan to post my negative experience. However, after this nasty exchange in the photos, I thought I'd post it and let you read it for yourself. You can also see she lied about a late cancellation. I canceled on June 24th for a July 1 appointment. And before you ask, no, it's not just the receptionist or whomever has the phone. The dentist's bedside manner is also off putting. I just thought it was his personality, but I see it's a culture. Reach your own conclusion about whether it's a fit for you.

At my May 2025 visit, I was told that my insurance would cover the appointment and that I didn't have a balance. Months later, I was unexpectedly informed that I actually owed money--due to a mistake the office manager made. Instead of owning up to the error, she shifted the blame onto me, even though it was her responsibility to verify the information before assuring me I owed nothing. What's most disheartening is that this was handled without the same care and integrity Dr. Darlington himself showed. I now have a balance on my account and a sadness in my heart. Everyone makes mistakes--but it's not okay to gaslight loyal customers or avoid accountability. As someone who values honesty, responsibility, and professionalism in business, I cannot recommend this office. I was scheduled to see Brandon Scott with an appointment at 12:45 and had done my paperwork weeks before online. Another new patient walked in just in front of me and was filling out his paperwork. I came to learn we were both scheduled for a 12:45 appointment. They took him first (because of course they did), and got me in to do the xray 20 minutes later, then it was into the chair to wait. I sat in the chair listening to the laughing, cajoling and the chatter with the other patient for almost an hour then he was off to laugh with one of his assistants! When Brandon Scott finally found the time for my consult it was 1:50. I told him I had scheduled another appointment at 2:30, not thinking I'd be this long at his office for a consult. He had no apology, and became defensive, replying that he always schedule two patients at once and sometimes things happen. I told him I understood that sometimes things happen with each patient causing it to take longer, and that I got that, but that scheduling two at once was probably the bigger problem. (I mean... I have things to do as well and don't book my entire day around one CONSULT appointment.) He got up, removed the bib and said "Sorry Ma'am, this isn't going to work". He was cocky, arrogant and without any sort of apology for keeping me waiting for an hour. He only offered up some BS to the effect of "we all wait for doctors in their office". Well, sorry buddy, that's not justification for me waiting while you're laughing it up and flirting with one of your assistants! YES, I saw that. I was sitting up - turned toward the entrance taking notice of and listening to everything at that point! I was already anxious and waiting for so long while you laughed it up, only making my anxiety worse. I don't know whether this guy is good at what he does or not, I only know he seems to be full of himself and thinks he's the only endo in town. On the way out his receptionist resounded with a shocking "WOW", and made a feeble attempt to defend his actions. He was anything but professional IMO and there was no defending him to me. I walked out. So here's my recommendation: unless you're willing to HURRY UP AND WAIT until he makes the time to see you with no sense of urgency or importance, unless you fancy feeling like a number and not a person, unless you believe your time is less valuable than his or any doctor's time for that matter, I WOULD NOT recommend Dr. Brandon (the Arrogant CLOWN) Scott. He needs to learn a thing or two about a thing or two and work on his bedside manner. Here's a tip: Never trust a guy with two first names.

The root canal went great with no down time for recovery. It wasn't painful and the root canal was over in 45 minutes. The entire office staff was helpful and professional. The moment you walk through the door of the office until you leave the staff is cheerful and makes you feel welcomed. I highly recommend Dr. Wells and this group!
