Situated at the Digbeth end of the Birmingham markets, between the stalls and St Martin's Church, and ironically, within spitting distance of Jamie's Italian and Browns restaurant, Snaxy is essentially a small burger van mostly serving the market community selling chips, sausages, the aforementioned burgers, as well as tea and coffee in polystyrene cups. There's a few tables so if you choose, you can sit down to consume your purchases and watch the colourful world of Birmingham fly by.
Not everyone wants and egg and bacon buttie for lunch, but if you do, Snaxy's is a good place to come as the food is certainly edible, the service is prompt and polite and it's cheap, cheap as chips (apologies for the pun people, sometimes I just can't help myself). If you want a healthier, or fancier option then you'd be best off taking a walk up the hill past Jamies as there's plenty of other options in that direction. But if greasy spoon style food is your thing I'd definitely advise you have a look at this place. I'm pretty sure their cups of tea are the cheapest in Birmingham at fifty pence a cup (if anyone knows of any cheaper then feel free to contact me). read more
