Sounding like Charles Dickens' favourite mode of transport, this is a killer jacket potato stop on Birmingham's ancient Cherry Street.
It's a Brummie certainty that this place has a small but significant line of hungry workers queuing for a lunctime snack every week day. This is perfectly understandable. The quaint tramcar exterior hides a wealth of tasty treats inside. I really don't know how they fit it all in - they've even squeezed in an entire drinks fridge. Though there's clearly some kind of Tardis technology afoot, the food is down to pure magic!
Whenever I go I'm always tempted with the daily special which, earlier this week, was Chunky Steak and Gravy. Mmmmm. This is another brilliant winter stop. The Cream of Tomato soup is always a winner and you can never go wrong by just having a cheese and bean jacket. Mr Bumble clearly loves his regulars, a sign in his tramcar window reads: "Hello lovely customers, we are open 9.30-4.00 yippee!"
