Shortly after finding a table in the late morning the crowds came in. If you plan on coming with a large group I recommend calling ahead to get reservations. They were serving the breakfast/brunch menu during our seating. I opted for the bacon pancakes. The food is presented just beautifully like the perfect instagram photo. And it tastes just as good. If you are a tea drinker you must order a pot just for the cute factor. All teapots come out dressed in little tea cozys. I wonder if they sell them as they all look homemade. My only complaint is that the food came old on the cold side. Perhaps it was due to how crowded it was, but it was like the food had been sitting out for a while. Regardless it still tasted amazing. I think prices for the Plough are affordable. If you have an Independent Birmingham card you receive a discount so keep that in mind. They have a beer garden out back that must be wonderful on sunny days..if we ever get any. I really want to get back there for lunch or dinner. And maybe try a cocktail if they have any. I ordered a small portion of chips which was cheap and a can of coke. The staff were pleasant and chatty, which was nice and I did not have to wait long at all to get my chips. It was fairly big inside too and so if you had to queue there would be enough room inside. Overall, I think this is a pretty standard chippy, which is worth a visit if you live in the local area.

Seriously, take my advice, I don't normally write reviews for anything that I go to, but the manager is so disgustingly rude to the point that gave me no choice but to announce it here on the Internet and leave reviews to warn you people NOT to even give this place a second glimpse because I don't want anyone else to experience the verbal abuse I received on the phone from that woman as I did- (BTW you're Chicken Chow Mein was LIMP). Obviously not somewhere to go on a sunny summers day, as there's no natural light! Decent selection of craft beer and spirits. Tuesdays are at the time of writing flatbread and 2 halves of beer for £10 which is great value. This will become a very regular haunt of mine, right on the doorstep. The place looked so beautiful and inviting from the car, it's warm lights tempting us from the cold. We ordered and I tried to say thank you very much in arabic to show how appreciative we were - this sparked a most welcome conversation about the history of the place and the owner's passion for good food and great hospitality. I can tell you now, and with honesty, that we have not had Shawarma properly until today. We tried the fatera, (the spinach flavour paired with the pickle was delightful) the traditional kibbeh, (I could eat these every day) and both lamb and chicken shawarma (we shared half each and could not pick between the two, both were cooked beautifully)... before taking chai karak tea and some baklava home with us. Reem - My wife would not share the flapjack brownie she warmed up at home, and who could blame her?! This particular store is my preference when shopping for frozen goods, and is great when you're following a low-carb diet as they have tons of high protein meals, frozen meats and frozen vegetables at low prices - certainly cheaper than the high street supermarkets. If you're feeling less healthy then they've always got offers on biscuits, chocolate and some very nice frozen desserts!
