The coffee for one is great if you happen to be in a location that has the machines that grind the beans fresh for each cup. Unfortunately, each location is different and some still have the old glass carafes of brewed coffee sitting on burners for unknown time periods. Also, I've found some stores to be absolute dumps and others to be immaculately clean. Another high point of 7-11 are their fresh baked cookies and some other baked goods, which you won't find in all locations either. My first visit to this 7-11 location uncovered a shockingly delicious and unexpected find...the barbecued chicken wings! The were delicious. They were grilled and not fried and looked and tasted like they were made on a barbecue. The sauce was also tangy, smoky, slightly sweet, and slightly spicy. As a rewards member I scored 10 of these meaty and juicy wings for just $5. I can only hope that the other locations selling these wings can maintain the same consistency. Stay tuned to find out.

Very convenient because it's open 24 hours. I walk past Starbucks to get coffee here. I created an account because of the bad reviews I saw. I've never seen the staff be anything but friendly to their customers and vice versa. Everything I've seen is marked with the price. They just redid the coffee bar and they have a wide selection of coffees and condiments. They have a schedule to make sure the coffee is always fresh. It's posted on the Cappuchino/hot chocolate machine so you can see which thermal carafe is the freshest.. Here's where I channel Dennis Leary. I've been drinking coffee since before there were any chain coffee marts. Coffee is awesome. For me nothing beats NYC diner coffee but 7-11 coffee comes close. Coffee needs to be fresh, strong, hot and cheap.That's it. If you're throwing 200 calories of extra crap in your coffee you don't appreciate coffee in my book :) And it's fast too and not that crowded even in the mornings. Don't be intimidated by the process of pouring your own coffee in a cup. It's not that complicated and you can save a couple of bucks each morning. Here's the secret recipe. Grab a cup, fill it most of the way with the coffee you choose, add some milk, sugar, stir, put a lid on it. If it makes you feel better you can bring a sharpie and write your name on the cup for added flavor :) Their breakfast pastries and bagels seem to be fresh each morning too as I see them preparing them at times when I'm there very early in the morning. Same with the fruits and salads. They have decent prices on drinks, milk, eggs, bread and other stuff you may not want to run all the way to the market for. It's a convenience store, I go there mostly for coffee if I'm out walking, pick up some odds and ends, snacks, etc. Prices are good, location is great and they keep improving the store and the selections. I'm so glad I have Banner to rely on for my day to day breakfast and lunch needs. The crew working there are friendly and attentive. They make great sandwiches and breakfast food, and they have excellent fresh squeezed OJ and top notch deli coffee. I eat there regularly and they keep things neat and clean. They also feature a great selection of beer and liquor. Unlike all those fancypants alcohol purveryors in Bergen County, they sell BOTH liquor AND beer. I'm sick of having to go to multiple locations for my hooch. I also treat Banner as a convenience store, getting some basics like milk and cigarettes when I need them.
