I went with a lobster roll and a beer. Pretty pricey for the size of the roll, but it is Times Square! The roll was decently packed with lobster meat. The flavor was good but nothing spectacular. I'd stop by again to try the dogs. read more

The hot dogs here are great. It may take a little longer than you expect to get your food but it is tasty. A separate window for pick up would help a lot. You pay and pick up at that same spot. The line forms and it can be interesting getting to your food. read more

Expensive but worth it. I always choose to go here instead of the cheaper, dirty water hotdog stands that are all around the city. I like how they grill their hotdogs and how fresh the food tastes. The skin of the hotdogs have a nice snap when you bite into it and the inside is warm and soft. They also warm up the bun which is nice. Although I only put ketchup and mustard on my hotdog, I like how there are so many options for toppings. By far the best hotdogs in NYC. I also love their pretzels and doughnuts, especially the black-out doughnut. The lobster roll is the most expensive on the menu but is definitely worth getting at least once. read more

The hot dogs are the best I have ever had in the city in a long time. Its for sure not that nasty soggy stand water hot dog you see all the time. Its worth the $4. The hot dog bun is toasted and the ketchup is spread across in a design, sounds crazy but I like things like that. Lol. They also sell other items like chips, pretzels and yeast. But the main thing is the hot dogs, you can also add toppings like chilli, relish, raw onions, just about anything you can think of. I gave four stars becuz I order two hot dogs and asked the guy if I could have a bag and he looked at me like I was crazy, I mean dude can't you see I'm alone, put it in a bag!!! Holy crap is this place expensive. They have some unique toppings but it remains a basic NYC-style dog. I'm from LA and love Pink's with all the crazy stuff on top but SnackBOX stays true to the simple mustard-ketchup-relish-onion hotdogs. I had mine with a bit of ketchup, mustard, and green-tomato relish. It was delicious but the dog itself, while 100% beef, still was a bit rubbery with too much snap for me. The service is also incredibly slow. I ordered one dog and it probably took 20 minutes to pop out even though there was tons of dogs piled in the corner of the grill. We stopped in while watching The Tony Awards in Time Square (which was a lot of fun!). There was no line, the staff were super friendly and it wasn't terribly expensive.
