The few times I have been here, I have had good experiences and enjoyed the ice cream. They offer Homer's ice cream from Wilmette, IL. Homer's is one of Chicagoland's best local ice cream shops. They have good quality ice cream and awesome flavors. The ice cream is creamy and has a good flavor. Their Banana Macadamia Nut is my most favorite. I also like their Coconut, Butter Pecan, Triple Berry, and Bourdeaux Cherry flavors. Their Tuesday special of Bring Your Banana for a banana split for $5 is a great deal. We love it. The service is always friendly. The shop's decor is nice and welcoming. The menu pricing is reasonable and the value for what you pay is really good. Check out Sugarville if you haven't before.

This candy shop is inviting with their bright pink neon lights which I love. These are not grocery store cannolis--these are made with real ingredients--pistachios, peanuts, lemon and orange peels. We also had to grab a piece of cannoli cake. The shop is small, but in the cutest midcentury style building, and in the warmer weather, picnic tables are available outside. Don't be surprised if the staff offer you a fork with your purchases, so you can enjoy the treats right away! The owners also conduct classes, which we really want to attend in the future. We shopped the Lake Forest, IL store and the employee was very nice knowledgeable and the store was clean and everything was nicely displayed. Even provided a sample of the fresh chocolate. Our check out was less than favorable this time. Upon returning for a second time the transaction was pleasant and the visit was very nice. The employee offered me a sample of the Fannie May Mint Melt Away which I love. Upon speaking with the employee she told me that this store was relatively new which I was not aware.
