A few weeks ago I saw a news article about a Swedish bakery called Smör which had recently set up in Comber. I decided to go and try it out for myself.
Smör is based in The Square, Comber, close to the junction with Killinchy Street. It operates from a container within the grounds of a large former house called Aureen. This was once the home of Comber Distillery owner John Miller, the great uncle of Thomas Andrews of the Titanic but the building is now designated for commercial use.
Smör operates on mornings from Wednesday to Saturday, opening at 8am and selling out quite quickly.
They have a range of Swedish roulade-shaped buns with choices including cinnamon, Biscoff and blueberry. There are also chocolate cookies and a choice of hot drinks. read more
