Mind you, it's not cheap (almost £4 for a 'loaf' type cake) so it would need to be good, and it is. There's a lot more on offer too - a massive range of food to go like stew, soup and prawn and chicken salads in the fridge and buns, tray bakes and scones etc over at the bakery counter. Again prices are higher than average - last time I had a scone to go, unbuttered, at 85p which is on the steep side for a bakery, but wowser it was white chocolate and raspberry and I think it was worth it. If you've got more time on your hands, the back section of the shop is a sit down cafe/restaurant which does more of the same home made type food. Again, a little bit pricey but top notch quality, with real ingredients and real food. Try the chilli chicken pannini. Yum.

This a lovely little bakery located on north street in the centre of Newtownards.There is something about local, good quality baked goods that the mass producing bakeries of this world just can't emulate, like the wonderful freshly baked smell that fills your nostrils on the entry to the bakery. They do a wide range of cakes, cream buns and tray bakes, with particular kudos from me going out to their pineapple creams which are annoyingly addictive( annoying in the respect that repeatedly buying them inflates my waistline and deflates my wallet!), but everything is good in here!
