Upon entering the store there was a terrible smell. Smells like dirty floor drains. There were two people waiting for smoothies when we got in. The only employee on shift was working on their smoothies. When they were done she quickly took our order, however we then watched the employee text on her phone for literally five minutes right in front is us while not making the one smoothie we ordered with no other customers in here. Then a party of three walked in. She continued to text for one or two minutes. While they waited to order. They said they were ready and she told them to wait a second while she finished texting. Absolutely unacceptable. Do NOT use the app to order in the morning. This Southlake Smoothie King has failed to open on time twice in the last 3 weeks. The app takes your money, but the store is dark, doors are locked, and no one answers the phone. It's ridiculous that a business can't open at its posted 7:00 AM time. Customers shouldn't have to chase refunds because employees can't show up for work. I go to Smoothie King at least 3 times per week. This past Friday I went to this location, I was told by the person taking orders that Smoothie King doesn't offer "free upsize" anymore. I used my rewards to make up the difference. I needed to go, after leaving the store I confirmed I had received both an email & a promo on my phone app. I read on reviews, that the store doesn't answer the phone, that's correct, I witnessed this when I was there waiting for my order and I called several times regarding no more Friday upsize. read more

The biggest annoyance of this location is that they do not answer the phone, and it isn't the first time. The young lady said someone lost the phone yesterday, probably cordless, so I could not place an order ahead of time, so another 10 min delay to get somewhere else on time. Everyone is using an ordering app of some sort these days, and you can't even verify they are open for business at 10am on a Sunday (5/19/24). I hate signing up for an app for every place I shop at. Starting with good... fabulous blend taste and texture! I got the peach and mango. Really great! My daughter got the strawberry and peach which was excellent as well. The not so good...the 2 guys behind the counter are having a bad day or really suck at customer service. I think they need a hug. Grumpy and short answer like they don't want to be there. I settled on Mangofest as it reminded me of a smoothie drank I had in India. You can add enhancers to any Smoothie and customize it and make it skinny where they leave out the sugar. I see what previous reviewers mean. One young adult behind the counter having to do everything. It happened today too. I went in right behind one person. After me three more people came in. The worker was polite and worked hard to get everyone taken care of. I got the strawberry gladiator with double almonds. I don't like all that sweet syrup sugar stuff to add calories and spike up my blood sugar. The gladiator is a powder to start with. In past visits they had to really blend my drink to get the almonds crushed and smooth but maybe they got a better machine because my wait was short and my drink was smooth. They give you an option for styrofoam or plastic cups now. I opted for the same old styrofoam. I'm not sure of the benefit for either though. read more

Update: came back and again good customer service, the people behind the counter were nice. Smoothies are solid. Got keto champ chocolate, which was fine considering it's keto. It's not gonna be as great as other smoothies but the others have ridiculous amounts of sugar, so for keto standards, it's good. I didn't experience bad service like other reviewers, but the smoothie did suck lol. I got a chocolate gladiator and it was a way too watery; the texture was straight up water with a chunk of soft ice. Flavor was barely there, like a watered down version of what it's supposed to be. I got a medium smoothie without checking the menu and this thing is like 32 ounces! And it was cheaper than jamba juice. I got the mixed berry smoothie, and I was a little disappointed because the flavor was not there, it tasted mostly of water. Maybe it was just that smoothie, but I'm not sure. Although the menu is a bit overwhelming and needs to be simplified, I was able to pick out a protein enriched smoothie which I added spinach to for $1. The place is clean and the kids that do work here (well it's usually one overwhelmed kid running the place on their own when there's 12 people in line for a smoothie) are nice, but they are always alone! Terrible Ownership / Mgmt issue NOT Staff. Poor kid behind the counter was by themselves, huge lines and overwhelmed. Us customers wishing we could help and trying to lift up someone like this breaks my heart. I've been here before when it's 1 person and long lines often so it's not a single instance clearly.
