We got our smoothies quick, the location was very clean, and the secret menu is immaculate

I first want to start off by saying this one star review has absolutely nothing to do with the employee that was working when I went in. He was doing his absolute best and deserves to be making double what I'm sure he makes hourly. This was my first time going to smoothie king, as soon as I walked in I saw how busy it was, there were at least 10 people inside. I was waiting in line to order when I realized that there was only one kid working and he was practically running around with more and more orders spewing out, mind you with no rubber mats on the tile floor. I was constantly worried he was going to fall and hurt himself. The lady in front of me started to complain that he was taking so many pick up orders and not taking any orders for the people waiting in line. He calmly explained that he was just trying to catch up on orders that had been placed before we had come in. This kid probably made a dozen smoothies by himself just while I was there. The management/owners should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for putting their employees in this position. Not only is this super nice kid having to work his butt off trying to complete these orders in a timely fashion, but he also has to be the one to deal with all the complaints from customers blaming him for something that is absolutely not his fault. While I was walking out one of the other customers was telling me that before I came in there was a lady giving him an extremely hard time for not making her smoothie fast enough. I would also like to say this poor kid was doing all of this with a smile on his face and was overly kind about the situation. Truly, management should be embarrassed about the position they are ok putting their employees in, plus I'm pretty positive it's illegal to not have rubber mats on the floor by ice machines and sinks because of how easy it is to slip read more

I was going to give them one star but the smoothies are very delicious. I give smooths king -1 star for customer service. I feel so bad for the owner of this franchise because he is loosing big time money thanks to the people he hires and have BAD CUSTOMER service. My friend had to use the bathroom she is a manager herself but she is diabetic so she just walked in to use the bathroom mi d you they have signs all over the door NO public restroom we all assumed it is NOT INTENDED for just regular people not to use the restroom. All 4 of us purchased smoothies I got the big watermelon with strawberry and my son a big smoothie with dark chocolate and bananas and I also bought chocolate cover almonds for the mom of my friends that was working. When I saw the young man whisper to the young girl someone just walked in the bathroom. So the girl said out loud to all of us in front of other customers generalizing ok one person waling In to use the bathroom the rest of you better not think of using the washroom. My reply to her being so surprised by her RUDE REMARKS I said to her ok chill, CHILL because we drove out of our way to come here to get smoothies to chill from the hot weather and actually we were going to go to Horse Plush for ice-cream but my friend that used the restroom figured smoothies were going to be an alternative healthier choice to ice cream and she re-routed to this place where we where treated so unfair and ruthless by the patrons making smoothies. I did loved the smoothie I order too pricy for 2 but did not matter because I loved it I did not expect an outburst from the girl we were shocked and embarrassed. read more

Was a previous employee atsmoothie king. It's run completely bogus. I was told to not worry about the stuff being clean. When we are busy reuse the blender bowls and scoopers don't worry about washing them till the end. So the customers wouldn't get mad ab waiting when it's busy. I've watched One employee named Mercury make smoothies without gloves on multiple times. My second day I threw away expired fruit and powders & I got stopped by Mercury and he said "your not supposed to throw that stuff out bc they only throw them out 2 WEEKS after the exp date. "The stores not doing so good, so Ethel wants to stretch all the product to last so we don't have to keep buying some" is what he said to me. I've never seen or had to sanatize the store or anything. If I could rate this place a -10, I would. I've been coming here for 2 years. Never had a problem, and I'm familiar with the very few employees here. This particular day, this woman ( who looks of Middle Eastern decent) by the name of Deena was working. I came, got my smoothie and bowl, and left. I was drinking my smoothie on my way back to work when I almost slurped two long a** pieces of hair. I pulled over to check my bowl only to find EVEN more hair and mushy old bruised bananas, as if I paid $11 for that bs. I drove back to the store for a refund and saw THE SAME WORKER DEENA WASHING THEIR DIRTY MOP OUT INSIDE OF THE SINK WHERE THEY WASH THEIR DISHES! I got my refund and left. I didn't even bother saying anything to her because I'm going to make it my mission to get the place closed or at least closely evaluated.These are the reasons why we're exiting out of a world wide pandemic RIGHT NOW! this place should be shut tf down! If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely horrid customer service. I walked in and patiently waited while two of the 5 employees finished their conversation. Then the team leader turned around as her friend came in. She then proceeded to finally acknowledge me only to take care of her friend. I feel sorry for the the owner of this establishment as the entitled brats who are working there could care less. read more

Everytime I come here, it's a 30-45 minute wait for a smoothie. They're extremely slow.

I love Smoothie King but the customer service here was awful, we had went in on a friday night about a hour and a half before they closed. All the workers were extremely rude, we gave them the benefit knowing its $5 32oz friday. We stood in line for about 10 minutes just waiting for them to even acknowledge the fact that we were waiting to order. We had waited about 10 more minutes for them to make our drinks, while 2 of the workers joked about "im about to just lock the doors". I get it that Fridays are busy but you can still be nice to your customers. read more

Very clean store, amazing smoothies, and amazing workers. The customer service is great !! Workers help and engage in the conversation with me helping me pick the right smoothie with all the great fruits I love!! I definitely will be coming back to this location in Orland Park.
