Well I originally thought I was going to a glorified Tropical Smoothie Cafe when I went to Smoothie King for the first time this week. Well I sure got that wrong! I wound up finding this place much more complicated to dissect with all the energy/health focused offerings here! I looked for the magic combo from the rather large menu that had some combinations I wouldn't imagine could work together! In the end, I wound up going with the strawberry banana Activator, which is a recovery blended smoothie for after a workout - this came from two customers ahead of who ordered them and swore by them. Well, after i got it, I virtually drank all 20 ounces before I left the shop! I see that they have coffee offerings here and one day I'll try one of them. It's hard to really settle on an opinion about Smoothie King on one review, but it's been around since 1973, so they've done some things right through the years. The outlet is rather large and spacious but not much as far as seating goes. It's really meant for pick up and go. I sat around for a few to get the feeling of this place. I like that they have all kinds of energy offerings here, if you look at my photos you can see some and the menus are clear when the photos are enlarged. My only disappointment that lost them one star, was that the workers that day weren't focused on the customers. I had some things I was asking or making conversation and was getting no reply or attention. It tells me they were listening to music or other things on the AirPods they were wearing. I wasn't too happy. Also, sitting in the back room when a shop is open isn't a good idea either. But they were generally courteous and made the smoothie very well. I would try it again. Smoothie King has always been my go-to snack break or post-workout pick me up. I have been going to this location for over 11 years and the quality has consistently remained high. I love how they have a specials board on the left wall when you walk in to inspire you to try something new. My go-tos are the strawberry pineapple metabolism boost and the cinnamon/banana/date which I add blueberries. read more

Sunday the 30th at 11:42am I told the girl at the front counter how much I hated the last smoothie I got, but that it was totally my fault because of how I ordered it. Anyways, she helped me navigate the menu to better pinpoint what it was that I was looking for. Chocolate, I wanted lots of chocolate! LOL. Anyways, she was persistent that she'd make me a new one if I wasn't happy with my order. I wouldn't have let her done it since it would've been my mistake AGAIN. Anyways, she nailed it and now I know how to order this particular smoothie correctly. They watched me take a sip and were like, "do you like it? Is it ok? Want another?" It was sweet and cute! What's better than a delicious cold smoothie after a hard workout? NOTHING!!! This location is easy to access and there is plenty of parking. On certain Friday's they offer $5 32oz smoothies. Make sure you know what is in the smoothie you are ordering. I've seen countless smoothie reviews saying there's too much added sugars and flavors. While this can be true, you just have to kindly ask what is actually in your smoothie before ordering it. I normally get a pineapple surf smoothie but it has added Splenda in it, so I simply ask for it without! Staff at this location is very friendly and helpful. There are table to sit at if you would like to relax with a delicious smoothie and some friends. This location also offers 10% off to military members. Strawberry Banana smoothie!!! It's my favorite... I will order this smoothie, go home and put them in the Popsicle molds and eat them all week. I always love coming here, the riverside one ruined my smoothie and I'm never going there again, I paid $25 for 2 smoothies at the riverside one and completely ruined both of our smoothies. If you're wanting to pay $11 for a 40 ounce drink and have them not fill up completely and actually get maybe 36-37 ounces, then you're at the right place. And if you're considering bringing your family with you, be prepared to have them exposed to loud rap music blaring through their audio system, with good family lyrics that feature the "N" word and "F" word in every other sentence. I love smoothie king and the employees at this location! I stop in for a breakfast smoothie every Friday. They offer $5 32oz smoothies on fridays. What a deal!! Whatever you are trying to accomplish with your diet, they have a smoothie for you. From low calorie, clean options, to bulking smoothies they've got it all. Plus they offer tons of customizations to make it your own. The greatest thing in my opinion is how fast they get you in and out. Typically in general it's easier to end up eating less healthy when you're strapped for time because the quickest option is fast food. However with the efficiency of this healthy smoothie king location, I have no excuse! Also, as a huge fan of a good rewards program, you can accumulate points from your purchases through an easy scannable app that you can redeem for dollars off future purchases. I have been to this location before and had no problems but today I stopped by around 10 am and ordered the same smoothie and it tasted awful! I recommend​ practicing​ consistency​ as I was really disappointed​ in what I received. My husband also tried the coffee smoothie and it was absolutely awful. I would not recommend​ it to anyone! It's my go to oh crap it's Friday at 3 pm and I haven't eaten since 7 am and I'm not going home for a while. I can always count on fast, friendly service. Kinda friendly. But the people that came in after we were really welcomed!! I just came into get a quick smoothie now normally I go to the drive through on Beach but this location doesn't have one. Good service and good smoothies... Typically. Had a bad experience a few weeks ago with a huge guy (manager, I believe) making smoothies in an extremely dirty white shirt. He then informed me they didn't have the Butter Pecan ice cream to make the Hulk that I like, and that they run out of it every week on Thursdays. If you know this, why not plan your ice cream pick ups accordingly? Poor preparedness. read more

It's one thing to up-sell (it is a business), but I feel they were being deceptive. I ordered a fruit smoothie (I can't remember which one) and they asked if I'd like strawberries added as she likes the taste- I said yes. I suddenly was paying nearly $10 for a smoothie. Great friendly place. The fruits are fresh and the "mysterious juices" is juiced fruit so nothing to worry about. Also I have never had a bad smoothie yet each one tasted good. I've seen people complain about them not wearing gloves, but they really don't need too, they are touching handles not the fruits or powder so it shouldn't be a problem and they wash their hands. read more
