I am a creature of habit and always order the same thing and head through the drive thru..so here it goes... This location has been around since as long as I can remember. It is in the front of Meyerland shopping center facing 610 in front of Marshall's. There is a drive thru and I highly recommend ordering that way. It is quick service. I also recommend getting the small. The small is actually quite large itself, but if you are curious about the size of the cup just ask. Prices will increase of course. Now I am not a smoothie or or juice connoisseur so I won't go into what you should add or not add in your smoothies, however they have lots of options you can add such as protein, vitamins, and such. You can add just about anything to your order. Like i said I am a creature of habit and always order the Muscle Punch or Light and Fluffy - mostly strawberry/banana flavors. They have LOTS of fruit drink options. I have read the reviews of folks complaining about prices, however that is just the juice/smoothie trend. If you are ordering fruit or veggie juices you are going to pay $5 on up. Deal with it. Head to McDonalds if you are looking for something cheap. I also wanted to comment on the reviews of the staff. I just want a Smoothie. Is that too much to ask?? I was heading to the Galleria from Pasadena (don't ask, I wasn't there by choice) and I was in need of a smoothie. I love Smoothie King, so I pulled out the iPhone with the Yelp app. I found a Smoothie King in the Meyerland Plaza. Yeah, you'd think that'd be easy to find, right? NOT. I started to wander around the parking lot looking for it. I went all the way around the giant middle area that has the Target, BBB, bookstore, etc... I couldn't find the place. I then assumed it had closed. I called and they were open! It's like you have to know where the secret door to the garden is to find this place. It's crazy. I finally found them in a small building attached to the Al's formal wear facing 610. Why were they hiding from me? They hurt my feelings, but they made up for it with a drive through! I just had knee surgery and the drive through made my day. I didn't have to hobble up to the counter and wait for my smoothie, I could happily sit in my air conditioned car and order. My order was quickly made and was exactly what I expected. I can't give them 4 stars because they are just too hidden in plain sight. I'd like to give them 3.5 stars because it's got the drive through, so it's a slightly above average Smoothie King. If you are in Meyerland, don't let it hide from you. It is there. read more

I frequented this location when I first moved to the area a couple months ago because it is down the street from my house. However now and I only come for the five dollars smoothies on Fridays. The staff was it quick and I've been made to wait 15 minutes for my smoothie on a couple occasions so from now and I just stick to making things at home if I can't get to another location. ALSO, if you're looking to get points for your smoothie, ASK FOR YOUR RECEIPTS AND SAVE THEM! The employees say they scan your app but I never get points when at this location. But I always get points when I visit other locations so I know it's not my app and I know it's not the actual app software. It has to be the store. Lastly, I requested for an ingredient to be taken out of my smoothie and I was told there was a $.99 charge for that which doesn't make any sense because you're adding one less ingredient. So if you want any type of substitutions for dietary needs or just any ingredient omissions don't come to this store. It seems as though the drive thru customers are the priority regardless even if you've been standing in line for 5-10 mins. I came in after the gym, and went inside even though there was no one in the drive thru line. I guess before I arrived to the counter, someone popped up. Then as I was waiting, waiting, waiting, at least 3 more people in the drive thru magically got to order before me. Even as a line started to form behind me, my order still hadn't been placed. So, I got to hear why this store is uniquely bad right from the manager's own admission. My sister, a manager at a different store, recommended a shake for me here. It tasted watery and horrible, she had a sip, and decided that they had severely underscooped one of the primary powder ingredients by mistake. We brought the shake up to the shift lead at the register, and she said "oh, so you probably work at a store, right? Well, we don't follow the recipes for the shakes here, we try to use as little as possible of all the ingredients because they're expensive to reorder". So we had them remake the shake following the recipe that prints with every order and it tasted just fine. So, basically, none of the nutrition that you're paying for here is accurate. Everything is watered down as per policy. A 40 oz shake here probably doesn't even have the nutritional content of a 20 oz shake at other stores, and I'm really not exaggerating. Don't go here, or if you do, tell them to follow the recipe as printed, use full or heaping scoops as appropriate, and watch them. Also, of note, they won't honor digital coupons unless you print them. This includes things that come from their phone app. Paid full price, Made an account to document this. Also, we asked who's policy it was and it's not a corporate store. All the employees are made to be complicit in this fraud by some franchisee. read more

Since there was no wait in the drive thru, I opted to go through instead of going inside to order. Much to my surprise, the menu was pretty large. However, I couldn't find just what I had a taste for and ordered a small Caribbean Way. Strawberries, banana and something called turbinado should have made for a pretty tasty, albeit basic, smoothie. Not!!! After the first sip, I could feel the sugar coating my mouth. This place lures you in under the premise that you are getting a healthy snack. The reality is that much of the drink is made with sugar-laden concentrates. Hmmm...I doubt I'll be back. read more

I've been going to this location weekly forever & some weeks DAILY since March. Always did the drive through till one of the workers told me about the App & Rewards Program. This led me to going more frequently. During COVID I started ordering online & using their curbside service which I greatly appreciate this option. After many daily visits ordering the same thing, it seemed as if they were tired of seeing me! I laughed it off at 1st as, "Me again" but the last 2 wks have been unacceptable customer service. Both times have been with a male Mgr. 1. Ordered curbside (so I thought) & they wouldn't answer my call from curbside after ringing forever or picking up & hanging up! This all from the curbside p/u where I was the only one & I could see my drink in the Ready Stand! Granted the were busy with drive through & walkins but that's exactly why I ordered ahead & they already had my payment. I had to walk in for my order to find out when they're busy they don't answer their phone! Horrible Customer Service when you advertise a service & then don't even answer the phone to support it! This particular Mgr pointed out that I had failed to check the Curbside option so that's why they didn't bring my order out. Ok, my mistake but answer your PHONE!! You already had my MONEY & could see me waiting through the window! Also, many many times previously, my order was brought out without me calling, simply by seeing me waiting. 2. Only a couple days after #1 above happened I placed the same order & called from curbside. After 1 hang up & 3 calls, they finally answered. Brought out my drink but upon leaving I realized they gave me a 20oz when I had paid for a 32oz. Tried to call back but again they refused to answer the phone so I went inside. This same Mgr asked to see my receipt which I was fine with but then he asked me for the 20oz back (because he had to account for Inventory)! What!!!! Their mistake which I happened to catch & they couldn't even stand behind their mistake & give me the 20oz while correcting their mistake & making my 32oz!!! Horrible Customer Service!!! I watched him take my 20oz drink & throw it out, almost as if to prove a point. Just so you know Chick-fil-A recently mis-filled my order & offered it to me free while refilling my Smaller order. This Smoothie King Mgr is bad for business!! Other staff there are nice & friendly but HE has to go!!!! Repeat business is the cornerstone for Restaurants/Retail. This morning I wanted to take my friend who just had recently had surgery in his mouth and couldn't eat any solid foods. He had never tried a smoothie before and being that I love Smoothie King so much I offered to take him to Get a smoothie in Meyerland. When we walked in it was only one car in the drive thru and no one inside. We were greeted, but since it was his first time he needed time to look over the menu and asking me questions on the different add ons and etc. It was two people in there at the time working behind the counter and neither of them asked if we needed help with the menu, have we been here before, or anything. But it's okay because luckily I been to smoothie king before and I knew some of the questions he had to ask. When he decided we got to the counter and none of them approached us. I asked for assistance by letting them know I was ready, she said give her a moment while completing a drive thru order. She took his order asked for his name and we paid. We waiting for the drink to be done and it was just sat on the counter. She didn't call his name or let us know the drink was ready. If I wasn't paying attention the drink would've just say there. Then why even ask him his name but then not call out his drink when she sat in down? When I asked her was the drink ours, the lady said something but I couldn't really hear her. Mind you the blender was going so I couldn't hear and asked her again was the drink his because I couldn't hear her. She loudly yelled at me as if I was annoying her. Then said she couldn't hear me when I asked for a spoon because the blender was going. She told me no they didn't carry any spoons and also said that she couldn't hear me because of the blender. But it was a mutual because I couldn't hear her but I wasn't aggressive or annoyed like she was towards us. I felt bad because I brought my friend to place where he felt he wasn't appreciated or shown any good customer service. And since my friend and I both have jobs in customer service I think we know how to treat customers especially new ones. He had to tell me he didn't even want the smoothie anymore and would never return. Which sucks because I know and have had better experiences with SK at many locations. I will start off by saying that this smoothie king does take forever even when there is literally no line they will have you waiting at the drive thru window for five minutes and you can see the people inside laughing and playing but the reason why im writing this review is because about two weeks ago i went and got charged for two smoothies when i only ordered ONE I hadn't noticed until three days later and I went back to talk to a manger, no manager was there so the worker took my phone number and told me the manger would call me the next day ! Well its about to be three weeks and I have not gotten my call or my money back the smoothies there aren't cheap so to get charged double and nothing done about it is ridiculous ! The smoothies are great! Service....not so much! I've only used the drive-thru at this location a couple of times, but there's never a line and it's still a REALLY long wait. The last time I went, I had to repeat my (simple) order twice at the window. I also observed a lot of goofing off inside the store from my car as I suffered through the long wait. The girl who was blending my smoothie finished, put a lid on it and then proceeded to stand with it in her hand as she laughed and talked to another employee. I was out running errands one day and wanted to grab something quick and refreshing so smoothie it was. I didn't have time to really look at the menu when I drove up so I just ordered a strawberry and banana smoothie. The lady over the intercom asked me if that would be a medium and I staggered between saying yes and no but decided sure, why not because I was hungry anyways. When you drive up to their window it can be a pain. You have to get out of your car to get your smoothie because the window is higher up and you can't pull your car close enough to their window. SO WEIRD. The medium here is like a large size. And um, when I looked at my receipt my drink was close to $8!!!! Argh. The worse part is I didn't even finish it and I was starving.
