Really? I said I'll just go somewhere else. It was the vibe. It was the tone of you are in the way and no don't take anything off my counter. I work all week and handle directions and orders and on my day off I just wanted to get a nice drink deal with nice people and not have to deal with anyone on power trips. The nutrition places I usually go to- NB in East Memphis and Craze in Germantown, would never. I'll stick to my own places from now on and not waste my gas. Disappointing. Maybe I wasn't dressed nice enough? I don't know. Definitely soured my whole morning as I was looking forward to going back there. *UPDATE- I actually asked my tea places about this- if they have any policies about not walking a foot away from the counter with the menu and they laughed because 1. It's so ridiculous and 2. They have more menus than just the ones at the front so it's a non-issue. I was also told by someone else that they had a similar experience here. 3 1/2 stars - but not for coffee…read more Nice space with comfortable decor and lighting. I stopped in mid day (2pm or so) and the brewed coffee was left over from the morning and the portafilters sitting on the tray of the espresso machine declared loudly "we're not coffee people". I ordered a breakfast sandwich and juice and was pleased with both. The sandwich and burger menu is compelling and worth a visit. For business people needing a place to meet or knock out email mid day - this is a nice spot to land.
