I was in the area and decided to treat myself to an acai bowl. Thank goodness I didn't check the mixed Yelp reviews, or I'm not sure if I would've stopped in. I'm happy I did because the customer service was great. Granted, there was only one person ahead of me, so I didn't have to wait long. The place was spacious and clean with a cute and bright decor. There were two young guys behind the counter, and they were both very friendly. One guy seemed new, and the other gentleman, Joseph, appeared to be training him. The new guy made my "Berry Goji getaway" bowl that consisted of mangos, strawberries with coconut flakes. I asked them to throw some granola on there as well. My acai bowl was good but was a bit disproportionate. There was way too much acai mix and not enough toppings. The staff even mentioned they were running low and wouldn't be able to make too many acai bowls for the day, and it was early in the afternoon. Nevertheless, I still made it work in my favor. I ate the bowl with the toppings one day. The following day, I went and purchased some fruit and used my own granola to hook up my 2nd portion of the acai bowl. lol. Everything worked out just fine. As a big fan of smoothies I decided to check this place out and try one of their many smoothies! Place appears to be just opened and everything inside is very clean and well organized. I ordered a Lean1 Chocolate smoothie from their Stay Slim Blends which consisted of bananas, almonds and Lean1 chocolate protein. The smoothie wasn't bad but it was very thick and I could taste the artificial sweetener which I wasn't a fan of. Also looking at their nutritional information most of these smoothies are packed with ton of sugar and sodium which makes me wonder if these smoothies are doing more harm to your body then good. As an avid lover of smoothies, I was very excited when this awesome smoothie shop opened up on Myrtle a few blocks from where I live. The interior is modern, brightly lit, and clean. My first time visiting, I was greeted and welcomed by the friendly staff behind the counter. The person who took my order was very personable, patient, and funny. I decided to order the Coffee Pumpkin Protein Shake, which consists of pumpkin, cold brew coffee, dates, almonds, nonfat milk, protein blend, whey protein, as well as a spice blend. This was quite tasty and had a nice blend of both pumpkin and coffee flavor. It was also very thick and wonderfully creamy. However, I felt like I didn't need the protein though, and might have enjoyed it more without the protein, because there was a slight after taste. The next time I stopped by, I had the Stretch & Tart Cherry (without bananas), including tart cherries, apple blueberry juice blend, dates, coconut water, protein, and collagen. The drink was absolutely delicious! Refreshing, sweet, and tasting of true cherries. I am happy that there are several cherry smoothie options, because cherries are my favorite fruit and it's rare to find them in smoothies. I can't wait to try the Hydration Tart Cherry Lemonade and Tart Cherry X-treme. As a first-timer, I was impressed with Smoothie King. Their Clinton Hill location was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff was also professional and worked with speed to fulfill customer orders. I tried the 32 oz Dude Perfecr Smoothie (Bananas, Pineapples, Kiwi Apple Juice Blend, Turbinado, Protein Blend, Vanilla Frozen Yogurt, Blue Spirulina) and it was not my favorite. This is where I always came to first when I came home to Brooklyn just before visiting my Grandma's house. I always had to pick up a box of cookies and cannolis. Never came empty handed. And in the summer I'd go and get an Italian ice. Now my this location is gone and so is my grandma. I no longer have any reason to come back to Brooklyn. I've ordered from here the last five days straight to see if I'm going crazy. ALL FIVE orders have been partially incorrect, missing items, or someone else's order (which had strawberries in it, something of a health hazard if you don't know). To rule out it being a delivery service issue, I ordered from both UberEats and Door Dash, with the same unfortunate results. Each time I've reached out to support on Uber Eats and Door Dash and they say that they will speak with you, but it's still happening. I've had the delivery people ask them to confirm the order is correct, but it isn't. I've tried calling them directly, but no one ever picks up. When I walk in, there is usually no one to greet me until someone abruptly leaves the back area after roughly 30 seconds. When I ordered on the app before arrival (approximately 10 minutes prior), my drink had not even been made, because the employees were in the backroom. I believe there should always be a presence behind the counter for a more welcome experience. Received a phone call saying my order had been picked up by someone who wasn't a delivery driver and, who in fact, stole the order! The shop asked me to re-place the order and they would cancel the first one. I asked to have the order remade and that I would pick them up; when I got there I found out the owner had instructed the employee to wait until I arrived to start remaking. Poor guy was all alone and it took about a half hour - after I had been waiting for nearly an hour the first time. This was an order for my business so about 6 items.
