Small smoothie and bubble tea spot. They have açaí, bubble teas, smoothies and wellness shots. I had a passion mango lychee smoothie with added protein. The smoothie was really filling, a little on the sweeter side. I forgot to take a photo because I drank it so fast. There's some seating but not much, place gets a little crowded so it's better to order out. I will definitely come here again to try the wellness shots and açaí. The cashier was super friendly
Recently went to their Chelsea location and had their incredible Passion Green Smoothie. Could not resist stopping in to this tiny location for the exact same drink on a sunny day in downtown BK. Same great taste, reliable, affordable, healthy. and fast. Love it! 5 stars!!!
Water Lychee (no milk smoothie). Refreshing slush/juice. Fairly priced. It's a small shop. So not a lot of place to sit and drink :(
Located in downtown Brooklyn this small storefront is a popular spot during lunch compared to nearby spaces and I can now see why. The walls are covered in specials and seasonal drinks but many order from the main menu mounted behind the register. These feature classic combinations amounting to a large selection which is numbered for convenience. I opted for the Passion Green smoothie, a delicious blend of kale and spinach, overshadowed by pineapple and mango (no complaints there!) Hawa offers a good selection of fruit-based vs. veggie-based flavors and it's easy to find flavor combos that you like. They also have a "detox" selection on the menu which looks good but I didn't feel comfortable ordering a "detox dinner smoothie" in the middle of the day. It seems the only differences are that there are lemon and cayenne in some, but it just struck me as a weird label. Definitely come for the smoothies. They are made fast (compared to the bowls) and the line moves with practiced speed. **a note: for those who don't carry cash a lot like me they are CASH ONLY. Whenever I have some extra cash on hand and am in need of a good summer beverage I will be returning.
I went there and got myself a large number 38 chocolate champ that came with chocolate, peanut butter, banana, chocolate protein and milk for $8. The shake was thick and wasn't bad overall. Cash only and there's an ATM in the store if you need it.
My friend introduced me to Hawa and we tried the lychee green juice today and it was really good. Never thought about adding lychees to green juice. It elevated the drink. It was very refreshing and they take their time to make their drink. It's a small shop with lots of juice combos and different varieties.

This bowl really hit the spot. The Açaí Bowls aren't super fancy, and there's a limited number of toppings you can get. I chose to add Almond Butter which I think really made the bowl. It was super fresh, good amount of fruit/granola, and the perfect amount of almond butter. At $10 I was happy with my investment. They also have a huge selection of smoothies, slushees, and boba drinks. If you're in the mood for an Açaí Bowl, this is definitely the best place around!
Little hole in the wall with delicious açaí bowls! They're cash only so be prepared before going! I've only had their peanut butter açaí bowl which was full to the rim with bananas, strawberries, mango and topped with chia seeds. I wish they put some blueberries in it but all of the fruit are fresh and perfectly ripe. Will be back to get juices and smoothies!
Cool little place (very little)! Keep in mind it is cash only - I seldom carry cash, but read another Yelper's review about that so I had a head's up. Stopped on my way from my hotel to the courthouse. I'd originally had eyes on one of the smoothie bowls but wanted something to "eat" on the go and got the PB Punch smoothie. Pow! The peanut butter punchiness cannot be denied. Nice, smooth texture and they gave me a little carrying bag, too! Sweet! Service was quick and I was in and out. There was only 1 person ahead of me, it was around 8:30 a.m. I'm guessing other times are busier. A nice perk was the smoothie was actually a full breakfast that kept me feeling full the whole morning. I usually start feeling the need for snackage around mid-morning, especially after dealing with obnoxious attorneys all morning. But not so on this day, as I lasted until 1:30ish when I managed to grab a quick lunch before heading back to JFK. Really wish I had more time in town to hit this place up again - definitely next time!

Hailing from Astoria, where we have Tea and Milk, I wanted to give another a place I haven't heard of a shot. After doing some Yelping, I decided on checking this place out during my lunch break. I had a little trouble finding it, and almost didn't open the door because the outside windows are all covered in papers and other things. I walked in, and couldn't help but notice how incredibly small the place is. It's difficult for more than 7 people to stand there comfortably. After checking out the menu, I was asked what I wanted to order. For one reason or another, the cashier was a bit stressed, and it showed in the customer service. I placed my order, and waited maybe no less than five minutes before getting my bubble tea order. I tried taking pictures of the place inside, but all menus strictly forbade photography! I had a sip of my drink, the Japanese matcha latte, and it was incredibly sweet. Way too sweet to really derive any flavor from it. I had to toss half of it out because I couldn't take the sweetness. Certainly don't have any plans to check out this place anytime in the future.

Taylor's Tayke: Hawa Smoothies is one of those spots that catches you off guard in the best way. Simple setup, but the quality speaks for itself. The flavors feel real and intentional, and you can taste the freshness immediately. It's the kind of place you go to once and already know you're coming back. My Tipsy Tayke: N/A, but honestly, this is the kind of spot that feels like a clean reset. My Taysty Tayke: Get Down & Dirty, Expeditiously: Angel Kiss Hands down one of the best smoothies I've ever had. It's so rich and filling it almost feels like you're eating a full meal, but still light and refreshing. Naturally sweet from the blend of fruits, no artificial feel, just straight flavor. Service: Bill was a pleasure, honest, helpful, and really guided us to the right choice. That kind of service makes a difference. Tried their "all green" juice. It was decent. Only visited because it was convenient. Service was quick but I don't like how you can't see the area where everything is made. They don't take Apple Pay but they charge an extra dollar is you pay by Cash App or Zelle (weird but whatever) read more

Saw this place on yelp & decided to give it a try. It wasn't hard to find, you just have to pay attention. It's a small spot with very few seats if you want to chill and enjoy. The menu is pretty extensive from bubble tea to smoothies, fresh juices & açaí bowls. I opted in for the kale monster because I'm more into green smoothies & there's only a few choices in smoothies which is why they lost a star. The smoothie combination itself was different & I enjoyed it. The coconut gave it a distinct taste but was really good. I had the smoothie around 5 hours ago & still full!!! Fairly cheap place compared to the neighborhood. I had a large smoothie for $6 & definitely recommend this place if you're around the neighborhood and want something different (these aren't your typical smoothie combos). read more

Disclaimer: I've never had an açaí bowl before so I don't know what to compare this to. But I do know one thing: this was the most refreshing thing I've eaten for a while. I ordered the original açaí bowl ($9 flat) and it kept me full for the entire afternoon. The fruits were super fresh and perfectly sweet and tangy. The granola was portioned very well. I felt so healthy. The wait time wasn't bad either even though it was lunchtime. Cash only. They also sell bubble teas ($3.50 small $4.50 large). read more

The acai bowl wasn't terrible but I'm searching for a more smooth and creamier base. I added extra almond butter but i barely got anything. The base didn't taste like much. The fruits were very fresh though. I was not a fan of the granola because it sorted taste like coconut shaving snd i am not a fan of coconut. This place has really good reviews for acai bowls so i wanted to try it but it was alright to me. Not as satisfying but just a personal opinion of course. read more

For the last two years, I've worked a few blocks away from Hawa smoothies. I cannot recall why I decided to go in initially, but I don't regret it. This place introduced me to acai bowls and boy are they heavenly! Their prices may sound high, but you get your money's worth- fresh ingredients, filling items, healthy options, and most importantly happiness! They have a few acai bowls (peanut butter, almond butter, coconut, kale, and ginger). They are each layered with the acai and fruit blend, fresh strawberries, bananas, mango, and granola. They are very filling and come in small and large. I usually opt for the $9 small, but don't let the size fool ya'...you'll feel stuffed, in a healthy way. I have tried numerous items on the menu and none have disappointed! I've only had two bad experiences, but they really weren't bad. First: I ordered the chocolate champ, which includes chocolate, peanut butter, almond milk, and chocolate protein, and it was two sweet, but that was after about half the cup. Second: I ended waiting about 20 minutes for the chocolate champ mentioned above and it wasn't even crowded that day. I had ordered a small ($5), but to compensate for the wait they gave me a large. What you will see is, if I had received my original order, I don't think it would have been as overwhelmingly sweet as I had described above. Anyway, this is a great spot for protein shakes, acai bowls, fruit smoothies, and even Wheatgrass shots! I would highly recommend it to anyone! FYI - CASH ONLY! read more

What I like about the smoothies here is that there are a lot of interesting fruit/ veggie combinations. I usually go for the hot passion which is strawberry, blueberry, banana, peanut butter and water, however I substitute soy milk instead of water and add chia seeds for texture. What I like about this is the crunchy peanut butter they use: it gives the smoothie added texture and something to chew on. They're also good with the ice but i realized that the smoothie tastes better when the Ice has melted a little bit. read more

My favorite place for açaí bowls!! The bowl looks small but it's actually pretty deep and filling. I am partial to the classic bowl that has granola bananas mango and strawberries. CASH ONLY!!!!!! The prices are all about $1 higher than the pic on yelp rn. Excellent place for an affordable & delicious bowl. The employees are always super nice too! read more
I love love this place. It's my guilt pleasure. I literally will buy a smoothie from here every day if I had the money. They use real ingredients! They make it in front of you! The medium size, which is 5$ is larger than most smoothie places large. The taste is so flavorful! Who would've thought that I would enjoy the "Pom Queen". Pom Queen is avocado, Spanish, strawberry, blueberry, flaxseeds and dates! Omg that is something I never would've thought to put together! The texture,the taste, the price, the amount is excellent! I wish they accepted cards because I hate having to take money out just because I can't resist passing by and not buying a smoothie or acai bowl; but I think it's because of the location why they don't accept cards!! read more
