Nice little spot for juices, acai bowls, salads and wraps. They've got a pretty diverse offering of items going. There sandwiches are solid but I usually stop by for the juices of acai bowls. They use a premix acai so it has the consistency of sherbet as opposed to the smoother kinds. As youd expect its topped with fresh fruit granola and some other items of your choosing. Because its a frozen acai its perfect on those hot ass days when you're looking to cool down. My friend and I had just spent the afternoon at the Brooklyn Museum nearby when we found Jungle Juice Cafe on a whim. It was empty when we came in the late afternoon so we had no issue grabbing a table and resting our feet for a bit. It was a cold winter day out but inside was very warm and toasty. I decided to be extra healthy and ordered the Healthy Hideaway, a green juice with cucumber, apple, pear, ginger, and lemon. My friend got one of the fruitier smoothies (can't remember which one exactly). The folks there were SO nice and made a little extra of each so we could sample each other's! Jungle Juice Cafe is a brand new black owned juice bar located in Prospect Heights! They recently opened last week and I am so glad I was able to support their business! The customer service here is spot on. The young man who served me was friendly and my juice came out in no time. They have some outdoor chairs and tables to sit on with the weather is nice. Came by Jungle Juice Cafe after work one day to meet with a friend. I'm so glad we did! I randomly selected it after looking it up on the Google maps and it was an adorable, little spot in Crown Heights off of Eastern Parkway. There were two employees working (I wish I'd gotten the woman's name because she was kind and patient with my indecisiveness). My friend and I sat and spoke for about 5-7 minutes before we got up to purchase something and they were cool about it. When we finally got up to the counter, I saw a cake that was looking as if it were calling out to me so I asked the woman about it. She said it was a banana cream cake in which the custard was made by blending bananas with sugar, apple and cinnamon, if I'm not mistaken. She didn't have to say anything more because I got a slice of that and a 16 oz cup of a mixed lemonade they had which was positioned right next to the cake so I took that as a sign of the perfect combo I needed that afternoon. My friend ordered the salmon salad and a supreme green juice. I believe that was the name of it. We both thoroughly enjoyed our orders. We didn't leave behind a crumb! The place was spotless because the young man working was cleaning in between orders so it was spotless! The ambiance was nice for a place to catch up with a friend, have a health conscious bite, do some people watching, or simply to catch your breath while taking in a nice vibe. I hope to be back soon! This place is a hidden gem. Ben and Michelle are amazing staff and super friendly staff who know the customers to the point that they can say do you want the usual. The açaí is the biggest and best I've ever had, the music and vibe are peaceful, the restaurant is clean, the beyond meat tacos were out of this world, and the matcha latte was . Love this spot! I've been several times and always had a positive experience. I've gotten the chunky monkey smoothie several times - big fan - and yesterday I had the tuna salad sandwich and it was good. The service here is always very friendly. The thing I didn't like as much was the açaí bowl because it had a bunchhh of frozen chunks still, but maybe it'll be better next time. Still was flavorful with good ingredients! I asked for a refund but alas no refunds...Should have told me BEFORE I ordered that it was that long of a wait. Hire more staff or teach staff to make customers aware of long waits Welp 20+ minutes later it was one of THE worst smoothies I've ever had. I have been going to this place for about a year or so now and I love it. The smoothies are so good. I have tried just about every one and they are made with care and love. the staff is attentive and you can tell they enjoy what they do. I also really like how they are constantly working on new items, new smoothies, adding acai bowls, sandwiches, even breakfast items. They really are receptive to feedback and don't mind engaging you in stimulating conversation about life, what's happening in current events and more. I tried to eat here. I came all the way here to get something I could eat after having my wisdom teeth out. They said they could not blend the fruit in with the bowl and said it had to go on top. I told them that I just had dental work and couldn't really chew that. Sort of a ridiculous that they wouldn't just blend everything together. I just wanted a smoothie I could eat with a spoon. Can't speak to the quality of the food because the service was so bad I never got it. I sat there for 20 minutes, when I saw them make the order of someone who came in after I did. The person who took my order admitted they'd forgotten about me and owned up to their mistake and agreed when I asked for a refund. I'm only leaving a review because the other person behind the counter butted and was incredibly rude making excuses and told me to leave while I was just waiting for someone to confirm my money had been refunded. Visited Jungle Juice Cafe because I was craving a good smoothie and it sure did not disappoint! I love that it's walking distance from the Brooklyn Museum. Their was only one worker who I think was the owner...He was very welcoming and energetic. The music was afrobeats which I love. Me and my boyfriend waited a bit for him to finish an order to place ours. I ordered the Jungle Fever and my boyfriend got the Berry Acai Bowl. One highlight of my experience here was that I told the guy I have a tree nut allergy and he assured me that he will be making the bowl in a nut-free blender. I appreciate when places take food allergies seriously. He have it to us in a timely manner and said he added a lot of granola to replace the crunchiness from the pistachios that would have been in it. We were basically his last customers and he did not try to rush us at all and told us to take our time. We sat outside at the table they provided. Been wanting to try this spot for awhile now, this actually was my third attempt. The two other times I came right before 7pm and they were closing. So today I walk in and there's nobody behind the register because the two ppl that work there are sitting at the window on their phones, which is fine but no greeting and no sense of urgency to go behind the counter to take my order. I say out loud can I have a grilled chicken wrap, to which the girl finally gets up to go behind the counter and rings me up for a chicken pesto wrap. I say to her I want a grilled chicken wrap w/ no pesto on it and she says I can't do that and that it has to be a chicken pesto wrap. I'm confused af like why does it HAVE to be a chicken pesto wrap? I should've just left to be honest because her attitude was the worst I've encountered in a long time, but I persisted and asked is the chicken marinated with pesto? I'm really trying to understand why this can't be done, To which she said no, so I'm like okay why can't have it plain then? To which she responds because it doesn't come like that. I'm like ok you clearly don't want to make the wrap and then a gentleman proceeds to step in and says I'll make it. I tell him what I want on it. He even lets me taste a couple of the sauces, actually managed to turn my experience from one star to three. After coming out of the Kaws: What Party in the Brooklyn Museum, my girlfriend and I were craving something sweet and refreshing to satisfy us since it was extremely hot that day. We found this cool place which was only a 5 min walk from the museum. When we arrived, we were greeted very nicely and were helped with our order since my girlfriend has a tree nut allergy. They went above and beyond to make sure the equipment was nut-free by cleaning right there for us. This is amazing for anyone else who may be allergic to a specific food. It's great to know that whatever you order you won't be any allergy danger. I got the Golden Açaí Bowl without the pistachio and was given extra granola for taking something out. I devoured the whole thing, keeping me full, cool, and even satisfied my sweet tooth. My girlfriend got the jungle fever which had a great taste. This is by far the best experience I've had at a juice bar. Even though they just opened I'm already a regular and have to stop there everyday. This place is a nice little gem!!! I meant to write a review for a while now. The food here is delicious definetely made with love. I had a get together customize brunch there for my son's 6th birthday back in June and it turned out AMAZING!!! not only was it last minute plan for a party of 14 but they customize the menu for us. The staff were sooo professional and fun to be around. Every smoothie that were ordered came with a sample for everyone. We all were satisfied with our meal. It was truly awesome to be treated so well by your own people. The backyard is beautiful, make you forget you are in a busy city. Wish I had pictures of the food.
