I recently converted all my old physical pictures to digital using Smooth Photo Services. I had additional requirements to edit the metadata of the photos so that they'd be sortable and searchable when I uploaded them to Google Photos. Despite this being an uncommon request, Brandon was very willing to work with me and sent me a sample along the way to confirm that he was editing the metadata correctly. I had considered using other services, but I found Smooth Photo Scanning to be the best option because they gave me the best price and because they do all the scanning in house without shipping my photos to another state. I had nearly a dozen unlabeled, outmoded micro-cassettes, with no way to play them but a suspicion some priceless family memories were trapped in them. I asked Smooth Photo Scanning for an estimate to convert the audio tapes to mp3, which they rapidly provided, and further requested expedited handling for one micro-cassette I thought might be especially valuable. Smooth Photo Scanning did everything I asked, quickly, professionally, and under budget. Brandon converted all the micro-cassettes to mp3, sent me the "special" mp3 within a day or two. completed the entire conversion of the tapes very quickly, and provided me with a meticulous final accounting (including credit for tapes he found blank), with the originals returned to me in pristine condition. Highly recommended! I had a box of two dozen Beta tapes from the 1980's sitting in my garage and, after 30 years, I finally decided that I needed to do something with them. One option was to toss them out and say goodbye to them forever but I'm glad I chose the other/better option - Taking and entrusting them to Brandon and his team at Smooth Photo Scanning to be transferred into MP4 format. Now I have all of that long unseen material condensed on an easy to watch Flashdrive that plugs into my laptop and Smart TV. The quality of the transfers is even better than I imagined it could be and it's great to be able to enjoy so many of the memories that I preserved during my teenage years come back to life. I had an excellent experience with Smooth Photo Scanning. My father and I went through a +30 year old storage unit and found many of old photo albums, slides and film from his youth in the 50's and 60's. I did some research and was so pleasantly surprised to find a local company and signed up for their services online and shipped out one huge box filled of our precious memories. Brandon and his team carefully scanned and replaced all the images from the photo albums (not an easy task as some images were smaller than a credit card) as if they were never touched. They sorted out all duplicates and put them aside. It really was a job you know they did with care and respect. Adding my voice to all the 5 star reviews - so glad I took on the project of getting some of my pre digital photo albums (thousands of photos), and a sampling of my old 3/4", betacam, and vhs tapes transferred. Now I don't have to haul out those old heavy albums - I have easy access to everything on my desktop and available to send to family and friends for a walk down memory lane. I was not comfortable shipping my materials so was thrilled to find Smooth Photo Scanning only a half hour drive away. I highly recommend Brandon and Smooth Photo scanning. I had over 40 VHS tapes that dated back to 1992 to have converted to digital. I had 2 companies that I found on line. My main objective was to have them converted to DVD's. Brandon suggested putting all the video footage on a flash drive as well. What a great idea. You just plug it into your smart TV and all the footage is there labeled into files. I am very glad he suggested it. The flash drive is the best! Brandon told me the job would take approximately 2 weeks to complete. In less than 2 weeks I received an e-mail they were ready to be picked up. This is the place you want to convert your analog tapes to digital. I tried iMemories, Kodak Digitizing, and Legacy Box. They all had fair-to-good results, bad customer service, lengthy turnaround times, and huge expense (some services charged me for tapes they couldn't read; no refund). I finally found Smooth Photo Scanning (SPS) because I had rare-format tape masters I needed transferred. SPS not only converted these old, out-of-date formats, but they turned the job around quickly, were very helpful over the phone, and responded personally to my emails.
